Auf unserer 6-monatigen Reise war sie ein treuer Begleiter. Die Performance war leider öfter eine Geduldsprobe, was aber auch an der Menge unserer Inhalte gelegen haben kann. Die App hat gutes Potenzial für weitere Entwicklungen, bspw. Eine automatische Buchungssynchronisation. Toll war, dass die Erstellung eines Fotobuches direkt aus der App sehr schnell und unkompliziert ging. Auch ist der Stippl Support sehr kompetent, freundlich und antwortet zeitnah bei Fragen. Wir hoffen, bei der nächsten Reise wieder dabei zu sein! ### 2/5 — Needs major improvements *2026-07-28* As someone who works in the travel industry, I really wanted to love this app. I was specifically looking for an alternative to Wanderlog, but after spending time with Stippl, I still think Wanderlog is the superior product. The biggest issue is usability. This is honestly one of the most difficult travel apps I’ve ever tried to use. Simple tasks—like importing flights, adding them manually, or organizing an itinerary—are far more complicated than they should be. Flights with overnight or long layovers don’t import correctly, manually entered dates frequently save on the wrong day, and moving items into your itinerary often just doesn’t work. Uploading travel confirmations is also slow and unreliable. On top of that, the app crashes frequently, making an already frustrating experience even harder to use. I found myself spending more time trying to figure out the app than actually planning my trip. That said, I genuinely think this app has a ton of potential. The calendar view is absolutely fantastic and, in my opinion, the best feature of the app. It’s clean, easy to read, and exactly how I want to visualize my travel plans. If the developers can improve the stability and simplify the workflow for basic travel planning, I think this could become an excellent app. Right now, though, it’s just too frustrating to recommend. **Developer response:** Thank you for the honest and detailed feedback, especially coming from someone in the travel industry. Not super user friendly at first glance. ### 4/5 — Needs offline feature *2026-07-14, version 3.0.15* Would be good to be able to save information offline so some parts of the app can be accessed without internet ### 2/5 — Naja *2026-06-08* Im erstem Moment war ich begeistert und wollte dann die Pro-Version kostenlos (Stand auf dem Button) testen. Abgebucht wurde dann aber direkt der Monatspreis (diesen hätte ich im Nachgang gerne gehabt). Das hätte ich ja in Kauf genommen, wenn mich der Rest dann weiterhin begeistert hätte. Aber der Upload von Dokumenten per Mail funktioniert kaum bis gar nicht (leere PDF oder nur ein Link ohne Funktion) auch eine Fährfahrt konnte ich nicht vernünftig hinzufügen… Vielleicht liegt der Fehler ja auch bei mir - allerdings komme ich normalerweise relativ gut mit sowas klar. Fazit: Abo gekündigt, Lehrgeld bezahlt. **Developer response:** Das tut uns leid. Stippl Pro ist ein kostenpflichtiges Abo, das vor dem Abschluss explizit bestätigt werden muss, daher war die Abbuchung korrekt. Die Probleme mit dem E-Mail-Upload und der Fährfahrt sollten aber so nicht passieren. In the plan view, the list of items drops down past the bottom Of the page and is not available to be piled back up. Thanks for flagging it! ### 3/5 — Alternative better options *2026-04-11* Downloaded and instantly unimpressed that you have to pay monthly fee to allow email ticketing for flights and hotels. TripIt does it all. Can’t edit plans like dates and forced to use various OTA sites… time wasting when an easier option available and free. We'll help you get it set up. ### 4/5 — Great app overall, a few fixes needed though. *2026-03-28* I truly love this app and tell my friends and family about it. I have used it for my current south east asia backpacking trip and will continue to do so, i really rely on it to be honest! However there are a few bugs or maybe im just misuing it? The most annoying one is that notifications come through from this app to tell me i have already visited a place and to let my followers know how it was.. except this place is on my list for a future visit for a few weeks/days time… so the app thinks i have been somewhere that is just simply upcoming on my list. Also there could be an easier way to do this but when you have a long list of over 15 places on one trip and adding a new place takes you all the way to the bottom of the list then you have to very slowly drag (drag - stop - scroll up - drag) it to where it needs to be, and the process of doing this has a tendency to cause lags. **Developer response:** Glad Stippl is coming in handy out there! The notification firing early for future places is definitely not intended behavior, and the drag lag on long lists is noted too. So wish I would not have paid for the pro version. Started in free earlier in the day and looked really promising but needed pro to do all that I needed. Now that I am in, it is double booking expenses, freezes up, won’t let you change dates, etc. Going straight into the trash. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2026-06-30, version 3.0.13* Up until the recent update I loved this app. So much so that I just forked out for paid version. However since the update it is slower and near impossible to edit the day by day section. It saves whilst I’m typing and as a result changes the text. Incredibly frustrating! Doesn’t work reached out to support and they ended up leaving me on delivered after sending them the information they wanted. There are way better apps out there for free. ### 1/5 — Too many glitches *2026-06-27, version 3.0.13* I upgraded to pro and I’m really disappointed. Firstly the mobile app and desktop version were not syncing, so I had to contact support. Then my documents weren’t reaching the app. I thought the pro feature would pull information from my documents and add to itinerary, but it doesn’t, so you still have to manually add. It doesn’t add overnight flights correctly! When adding a flight leaving on day 1 at 11am, but arrives on day 2 at 7:40 it pulls the day 2 date in as the departure day and makes this a travel day! I can’t manually amend the date either! It’s very frustrating. I also don’t like all the advertising with booking.com, get your guide and viator. So many things I don’t like and disappointed I’ve wasted my money. ### 1/5 — One of the worst travel apps I’ve ever tried *2026-06-08, version 3.0.9* This app gives great promise but it feels like just a booking platform by stealth, they gotta make their money but I would not call it an itinerary and budget app. ### 1/5 — Looked so promising *2026-04-02, version 3.0.5* I really wanted to be able to use this app, but it just does not function as expected. Documents that were emailed in would sometimes generate a pdf, while other times it would only process the attachments, and in some cases not create a document at all, rather it would generate a list. The app is very unreliable. It feels like a vibe code session that stopped half way through. The AI responses to support email that ask for further details and then fail to action them when you reply if further validation that this is not usable. I really tried to ignore the issues, but finally had to gave up. ### 1/5 — Tries to be too smart for its own good *2026-03-20* Got stuck on the very first entry I attempted; I’m staying at 2 hotels over 6 days in Seoul, which is an extremely basic thing a travel planner should be able to do. But the app doesn’t allow for that. It tells you to select your dates, then which hotel you’re staying at, then locks in the hotel for those dates with no room to edit them after the fact. If an app get stuck on something as simple as that, that early in the process, I’m not bothering to go any further. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear you got stuck on that. But recent updates and changes have made it very NOT user-friendly. It seems like they are MUCH MORE concerned about you spending money on their partners sites and booking through their app than actually letting you plan your trip. I will definitely not be renewing my “pro” subscription! I found the customer service very responsive when I came across a difficulty in trying to add something. It was extremely user intuitive and really helped us keep everything in one centralized place and we referenced it a million times during the trip. Plus it was easy to settle balances and account for things. Very customizable. I would definitely recommend. The notifications from the app don’t track with your current location so when I’ve stayed longer in places compared to originally planned but the notifications don’t accept that so you get pinged saying to update on what “Singapore” is like but you haven’t been yet. 2. This one is actually the most frustrating is when your trying to upload a journal it does take forever to actually upload and sync to be able to post, I’m not sure why as it should work the same as posting on any other app which is instant but I often have to wait for 30 mins for anything to upload. **Developer response:** Seven months of planning and journaling with Stippl, that means a lot! You can log every part of your trip in the app to ensure all of the pieces of your trip are linked together.
