I like this app and am not planning to look for another, but if it continues to be an issue it’s not worth the added annoyance to keep using. ### 3/5 — Umm… *2023-07-17, version 2.2.1* Great app but when ever I get close to finishing my design it erases and I half to do it all again. :( ### 3/5 — Unable to save *2023-06-27* Nice app, but sadly I lost my work on my first design. Ouch! There should be a warning before leaving an active design. It’s not clear how to save. ### 4/5 — Great Little Program! *2022-02-25* I've been using Stitcher to create simple cross-stitch patterns. It's intuitive to use and easy to make corrections if you make a mistake. It does exactly what I need it to do. 5 Stars! Edit 2/24/22: After using it for more than a weed I've discovered a feature I'd really like to have. Stitcher is great for designs made up entirely of an "X" completely filling each square. However, it lacks the ability to use backstitching either for lettering or outlining parts of the design. If I could do horizontal, vertical and diagonal backstitches Stitcher would be a much more complete tool. I've had to subtract one star for this omitted feature. Still a great program but it doesn't quite reach the goal line. ### 3/5 — Don’t know how to save *2021-12-30* How do you save your design? My design got deleted after I worked on it for an hour. ### 4/5 — Really good *2021-06-11, version 1.1* This is one of the few apps I’ve found that allow me to use shapes in this way. Am enjoying it, but would like even more if I could do things like move the position of the colours around in the pallet and especially if I could put a colour behind the squares and vary the opacity. The option of adding a picture for tracing is really good, but if I could save it with that picture behind I would have a lot more scope. However I think I am using it in a slightly different way than intended - am making images that I would like to use in tapestry/weaving. ### 3/5 — Functional but needs more features *2021-04-26* For sure this works great as a basic cross stitch pattern designer; however it could use upgrades such as allowing for more stitches then just a full block. My saved colors I can’t click on to reuse so maybe I’m doing it wrong but it’s really hard to find the same color again if you switch off ### 3/5 — Not quite perfect *2021-02-17* This was exactly what I was looking for to make my own cross stitch patterns until I realized the grid is only 20x20. I would gladly pay money for this app if the grid could be much larger. **Developer response:** Hi gffyijgds -- to change the canvas size, just tap the button with the box and the arrows. The only thing wrong is that I can zoom in and out but cannot move around the canvas, this makes it so difficult to design a larger project. You should have picked a location for your pattern when you created it, and it can probably be located somewhere in the Files app on your device. However right now there doesn’t seem to be any content in the app? It’s loading only a blank screen. I can’t open old or make new. I guess I’ll delete and reinstall. There is no new update. ### 2/5 — Great Tool but can't Zoom *2022-11-22* It would be theoretically great, except that I cannot figure out how to zoom in on an image. I can set the size by number of boxes, but the overall image size stays the same and I cannot zoom in and look at it closer at all! This only works for patterns that are 20x20 stitiches long or smaller, anything larger and the pattern becomes too small to see without any form of zoom functionality. **Developer response:** Hi PNW<3, to zoom, pinch on your screen (or trackpad) with two fingers and you should be all set. Thanks for trying Stitcher! ### 2/5 — Glitchy *2022-02-12* It keeps filling in all the squares with one color when you hold down one for a split second too long and then you can’t go back and undo. And how do you save a design? I’ve tried it a bunch of times and it keeps messing up. It gets the job done for me, saves the files on my phone (no cloud server or account needed), and has no ads. It works for 16 bit, 32 bit, and even 500x500 lanscapes. Though it lags slightly at with a super large res, it works smoothly in most circumstances. It's intuitive and streamlined.
