## What is Stitchwise?

Stitchwise helps you adapt knitting and crochet patterns to the fabric you actually made, so finished projects fit as intended.

Unlike calculators that consider only one number, Stitchwise reconciles stitch gauge and row gauge separately. Stitch gauge controls width. Row gauge controls length and shaping. Enter the pattern gauge, your blocked swatch gauge, and the finished measurements you want—Stitchwise calculates the stitch and row counts required at your gauge.

HOW IT WORKS

- Enter the pattern and swatch gauges
- Add the finished dimensions you need
- Round counts to whole numbers, even numbers, or pattern-repeat multiples
- Compare the original and reconciled counts

Your projects and gauge values stay on your device. Stitchwise requires no account and contains no ads or third-party tracking.

Gauge calculations are estimates based on your measurements. Always knit or crochet a full-size swatch, then wash and block it as you will the finished project. Your finished fabric is the final word.

Gauge numbers now work correctly if your region uses a comma for decimals.
Typing 4,5 stitches per inch reads the same as 4.5.

Reworded a lot of the on-screen text so it's easier to follow.
