### 4/5 — More Phases for Workout Programs

*2026-08-19*

I like the app and the programs, but the only problem is that each program only has two phases. After I finish the program, I don’t know what I should do next. It would be great if there were more phases or a follow-up program to help me continue progressing.

**Developer response:** Most of our programs run two phases across six to seven weeks. The most direct next step is usually to stick to the same split and increase the difficulty, or to switch modalities if you want a different stimulus. For help picking what's next, join the community from the More tab and ask. That's where these conversations happen, and it's free for app users. Or email support@stndrd.app, and we'll point you to the right block.

### 4/5 — Needs

*2026-08-03, version 4.1.50*

To improve the coustomize of the days or cousyomized workouts

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-04, version 4.1.43*

Top tier

### 5/5 — Fantastic Fitness app

*2026-07-03, version 4.1.43*

The best fitness app I have used so far, all in one features for easy workout tracking, food tracking, and weight tracking

### 5/5 — Good app eh

*2026-07-03*

It gave me the motivation needed to restart the gym, really beginner friendly it show you videos and how to do the movement on each machines. And even if you are a pro it will give you the results you need ( building mass, loosing weight or maintain ) some time you go to the gym and you don’t really know which muscles or which machine you want to do and some time you always do the same exercises, since I have this app I just have to open it and follow it, the exercises change with time really good to improve muscles.

### 5/5 — Great for consistency

*2026-07-03, version 4.1.43*

If you stay consistent with these programs results come. Like anything with the gym and athletics. This has been the best app I’ve seen to track everything in the same place and I’m a fan of the variety of workout programs it has

### 5/5 — AMAZE AMAZE AMAZE

*2026-07-03, version 4.1.43*

Absolutely love this app. Has everything you need in one spot. This may be user error but literally my only gripe is the increments on the nutrition when creating a food and the inability to do 1/2 or 1/4 amounts. Other than that it’s amazing, huge catalog of workouts. The visual form is super helpful. Recommended to anyone from beginner to experienced.

### 3/5 — Unfinished

*2026-07-03*

The app has a lot of problems, but it’s not fully broken. The QA process clearly didn’t work.
1. The app doesnt let you view previous workouts, so you cant see your previous sets/reps/weights. This is a pretty big problem for a workout programming app.
2. The weight suggestions are based off the most-recent set, regardless of where it fell in a pyramid/drop set/etc. This is a pretty lazy oversight, easy to build a fix for this.
3. The app also doesn’t suggest weight/rep increases based on previous performances, which is pretty standard for workout apps these days. There’s no “progression” built into the lifts. Pretty disappointing.
4. The “Jackedlete” program is not hybrid training. There are no runs, no sprints, none of the basic hybrid athlete stuff.
5. Everything is a superset, but the most inconvenient supersets of all time (i.e. you need to have a flat bench AND a lat pulldown in the same superset). Doesnt work if you don’t own a gym, very strange that you can’t split supersets into two sequential sets. Again, clearly no QA.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-07-02, version 4.1.43*

Amazing app, pushed me beyond my limits and helping me get over a plateau. Tracks everything and takes all the thinking out of lifting.

### 5/5 — The best app

*2026-07-02, version 4.1.43*

Ive used other workout apps in the past and this is by far the best, CBUM and the team put a lot of effort into the Stndrd app and it is amazing!!

### 3/5 — App overheats phone

*2026-06-29, version 4.1.42*

Great app and workouts but it overheats the phone and kills battery like crazy. I have iPhone 17pro and starting a workout with 68% battery by the end it will be at 22% and hot. Hopefully an update will fix then will give 5 star.

### 5/5 — Almost perfect…

*2026-06-18, version 4.1.41*

Absolutely everything one could ask for. From day 1 to the coveted stage prep…this has it all.

I say almost perfect, simply because my aging eyes needs some bigger font options for those trainer notes, ha!

### 2/5 — Terrible UI and Navigation

*2026-06-14, version 4.1.40*

This app is great, other than the things that you count on the most. As someone that builds digital user experiences for a living I can tell you this UI sucks, really bad.

### 5/5 — Swear by this app

*2026-06-12, version 4.1.40*

Including the original CBUM app, I’ve been using this for 5 years and have recommended to many friends and family members. It changed my progress forever and taught me so much about lifting. The macro calculator is great, workout variety is awesome, I miss the old legacy olympia split which had some crazy exercises in there. My only real feedback/suggestion would be for people using fitness trackers/ wearables - being able to transfer out workout data into whoop, Fitbit, Apple fitness etc. would be an amazing feature.

### 4/5 — Love the app!

*2026-06-02, version 4.1.39*

Love everything about the app. But whatever new update just dropped, it’s stops my music after each timer and sometimes just randomly. Please fix!

### 5/5 — Best 2 in 1 Fitness & Nutrition App

*2026-06-02, version 4.1.39*

I mean, the app speaks for itself. You couldn’t ask for better training programs and nutritional assistance than from a 6x Mr. Olympia. From the interface of the app to the variety of exercises, everything is great. That’s not including the nutritional side of it. You couldn’t find an app that has a better fitness and nutritional value for a better subscription price than this. This app has solely helped me transform myself physically and mentally. On January 1st of this year I was my heaviest at 278 lbs and was completely lost with no motivation. Since then, I have got down to 245 lbs and am stronger than ever all while still losing weight! Chris and Justin really did the damn thing with this app. I’d recommend this a million times over to anyone who’s willing to put in the work and dedication to better themselves.

### 5/5 — Humbled.

*2026-06-02, version 4.1.39*

This app is just different which is something I was looking forward and not only not but it’s fun and and it just feels good setting the standard haha some workouts really humbled me as well 💪🏽💯

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bad workout structure

*2026-07-31, version 4.1.48*

The workout calls for a superset but the app isn’t setup to actually add in a superset like it should. The app is “dumb” and calls for a rest in between super set which is not the right way to do a superset. If you’re a beginner you would do this wrong. For this reason I stopped using the app.

### 1/5 — Copy and Pasting work outs get boring.

*2026-07-23, version 4.1.48*

Most of the work outs especially on Push, pull, and leg days are exactly the same from start to finish. Not for me tbh
AI generated software forsuree

### 1/5 — Does NOT Meet Expectation

*2026-06-09, version 4.1.40*

Zero nutrition planning, education or advice (impossible to achieve great results without proper nutrition)

Almost no core workouts

Not enough variety of exercises to feel confident you’re hitting all parts of the area you’re focusing on

Not enough education about the workouts to help people understand what they’re doing well and what they need to change

This app is mainly a tracker, some videos showing you how to do your workouts, and some structure to your week. Not enough to rationalize price unfortunately

### 1/5 — Terrible customer service. Workouts need more explanation

*2026-05-24, version 4.1.39*

I've contacted customer service three times. Two weeks later still no response. The workouts leave room for questions with when to increase weight and super sets.

### 1/5 — You can’t cancel subscription

*2026-05-23*

The video content is decent. Yet as soon as you want to cancel your membership the app bugs out and shows errors. You can’t cancel your membership plan

**Developer response:** Hello, we apologize you're encountering an issue when trying to cancel your subscription. Please email support@stndrd.app for help canceling your subscription.

### 1/5 — Support team is unresponsive

*2026-05-22, version 4.1.38*

I signed up for the “7-day free trial” and quickly realized the service was not for me. When I attempted to cancel my subscription, the app repeatedly displayed “unable to cancel subscription.” I contacted customer support multiple times and received no response.

A company should not make it this difficult to cancel during a free trial. Extremely frustrating experience and poor customer service.

### 1/5 — Scam referral

*2026-05-14, version 4.1.37*

A friend joined the app using my referral and bought thebyear subscription at the end of the trial and they did not give him the 40$ off nor did they give me the 20$ credit they claim they would. I have contacted customer service on multiple occasions, with screenshots, and they chose to ignore me.

### 1/5 — App

*2026-05-08, version 4.1.37*

App is trash, it’s basically a notebook to record your workout and a timer, video you can find on you tube and info you can get off google.

It’s doesn’t suggest reps and what to go up in weight, timer sound is low, it glitches every week, don’t spend $100 on this it’s worthless,

### 1/5 — Needs a ton of work

*2026-04-11, version 4.1.33*

Wasted money! Still crashing. Please refund. Back to pen and paper.

### 1/5 — Customer Service

*2025-12-05, version 4.1.21*

Customer service is absolutely terrible. I have sent 6 emails over the course of a month and have received no response.

I want my money back.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This is it

*2026-08-14*

Just left Gravl for this app. I like the way better already after one session. Doing intermediate level and enjoying the challenge.

### 5/5 — Love training on a new level!

*2026-08-04, version 4.1.50*

There’s so much to appreciate about this app! The variety, the programs, diet/ weight tracking. Training monotony and burnout is a thing of the past!! I’ve told multiple people about this app and will continue to do so! Thanks guys!!

### 5/5 — Loving it so far.

*2026-08-04, version 4.1.50*

I started using STNDRD after trying many other apps and I can confidently say is the best i have tried. At first k started using it because of the variety of programs. And as I have been using it I am always pleasantly surprised surprised with the way it progresses tracks and updates my program weekly. Highly recommended

### 5/5 — Great Fitness App

*2026-08-04, version 4.1.50*

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-08-03, version 4.1.50*

Love it! Many different programs for gym goers of all experience levels. Would strongly recommend for anyone interested in a high level program top to bottom

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-03, version 4.1.50*

It’s a great app affordable and you can track macros with the provided workout plans

### 5/5 — Confusing

*2026-07-10, version 4.1.44*

Bro i love the app but new updates got me confused how to switch workout plan like what

### 5/5 — Better than a trainer for a fraction of the price

*2026-07-05, version 4.1.43*

Knowing the programming came from CBum and Justin gives me the confidence I have a legit plan. The weekly progressions remove all decision making. The food tracker is easy to use and has a HUGE database of foods. I can keep going, but recommend giving it a try and seeing for yourself.
