Stock Map visualizes US stock market data, including the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Dow Jones, using a heat map or treemap. It allows users to see intraday trends, companies, sectors, and industries at a glance. You can also track your favorite stocks and add widgets to your home screen for quick access.
The main page defaults to displaying S&P 500 stocks. You can easily switch to view Nasdaq 100 or Dow Jones stocks by tapping on the title at the top of the main view.
Yes, the app features a 'Favorites' tab where you can add all your preferred stocks. This allows you to easily keep an eye on the specific stocks you are interested in without being overwhelmed by the entire market.
You can add widgets to your home page to monitor either your favorite stocks or a specific industry category. By default, widgets update every 30 minutes to conserve battery, but this frequency can be adjusted within the app's widget settings to be as frequent as every 10 minutes or as infrequent as every hour.
The application is free to download and use, with the option for in-app purchases. This allows users to access core features for free while offering additional functionality or content through purchases.
