Not a user friendly platform. Have no issues with Adobe, Alamy, 123rf, Pond5, and others. Dreamstime he been nothing but headaches. No transparency. Staff rejects images everybody else happily accepts. No explanation as to why. Tried contacting customer service, and it only gets worse. Avoid with extreme prejudice. This app is a waste of time and money. ### 1/5 — Beware! Scam! *2023-01-09, version 1.25* It says “free stock photos” and I downloaded the app. When I found out it wasn’t free, I deleted the app. A charge just showed up in my bank for $25 from Dreamtime.com. I couldn’t even sign in to cancel because they do not have my correct email. I have no record of a purchase or subscription from Apple, so I can’t dispute it. I had to dispute it with the bank and now need a new banking card! I noticed they didn’t even post this. There is no option to delete your account which is illegal. Please add a clear visible “delete account” button or option on the profile page. Will be contacting the FTC. ### 1/5 — SCAM *2026-03-16, version 1.28* Do NOT use these services. I’ll tell you exactly what they did to me. First I saw an image I wanted. It said it was free to download, but I had to enter my card details first. I thought fine, whatever, if it’s free. Then I go to actually download the image and suddenly it says I have to pay for it. So I couldn’t even get the image I came for. Total waste of time. After that I tried to unsubscribe or remove my card, and there is literally no clear option to do it. I looked everywhere. I did find a “turn off auto-renew” button, so I clicked that thinking it would cancel anything connected to my card. Then later I check my bank transactions and see they’ve taken $32 from me. I’ve sent multiple support messages and they’re barely responding, extremely slow, and honestly I doubt I’ll even get my money back. I would NOT recommend this service to anyone unless you enjoy getting messed around and having your money taken. They push you to link your card first. Then they make it confusing to remove it or cancel anything. Then they charge you, and the refund process is slow, frustrating and a huge waste of time. I have several blogs and use it for images and illustrations for posts. Here are some of the many, many pluses Dreamstime has to offer (not in any particular order) - millions of images - USA company but images from all over the world - PC website very easy to use in all aspects, search, pay, subscribe, like, etc - app equally easy to use; search is somewhat faster - Lightboxes for easy categorization by any method you want - ability to contact photographers (though some may not answer, some do!) - ability to follow a fav photographer - multiple subscription and token plans - subscription/token plans are very reasonably priced; however if still too much for your needs, keep in touch via newsletter, Dreamstime has sales corresponding to other retail sales, I.e. Black Friday - ability to download excel spreadsheet of images purchased - ability to re-download an image in a size purchased previously - Very Nice and responsive customer support I’m sure I’m leaving out something… but these are the things that stand out in my mind.
