### 5/5 — Exactly what we needed

*2023-04-02*

I took to the App Store to look for an app like this, to see if it even existed, because I need all the help staying organized! This app meets my family’s needs exactly - especially the notifications! I would love to be able to add different categories of my own, like toiletries or spices, etc. All in all, great app.

### 4/5 — Need a Used List

*2023-03-18*

When I mark things used If like for a list to be created of what I used up and an option to choose the amount to be used up. This and a barcode scanner would make the app perfect.

### 3/5 — Need to have place to put goals

*2022-10-15*

I would like to see how many pounds/items I need towards each goal. Am I missing something?

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2021-11-03*

Very useful and easy to use app, has saved me a lot of trouble of worrying about expired foods! Get this app!

### 5/5 — Nice idea. Not much out there like this

*2021-02-14*

I'd love to see the ability. of using my iPhone's camera as a barcode scanner. I'd also like to add my own categories and the ability to export my Pantry into Paprika's Pantry. A lot to ask but I'd pay

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review! You can create your own categories and edit your existing categories by clicking Categories in the left-hand menu. Email chibbysoftware@gmail.com if you need further instructions. I’ll add feature requests for export to other pantry apps and for barcode scanning (which would need to be a paid feature, because barcode lookup services cost money for developers).

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2021-02-13*

Very easy to use, adjusts to your family size. You can tailor servings of each category to individual dietary needs, food names are not proscribed, so you can truly list what YOU have on hand and not have to fit it onto a category. You can add things like cleaning supplies, emergency items like candles, matches, communication devices, etc. Love the goals feature. Truly, a very useful tool!

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review!

### 5/5 — Great for food storage tracking

*2020-12-31*

Multiple platofrms. Reasonable price. Notifies you about inventory. Sync works.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review!

### 2/5 — Needs Some Work

*2020-12-05*

Wanted to love this because I think there is a need for this type of app. I hate being too critical of free things but am leaving this in hopes that it would be helpful and the develper would like feedback.

What is done so far is very nice.

Features I really like:
- the quick entry bar at the top that allows you to enter items in-line. (It is buggy though. Some times the previously used items don't show up.)
- clean and organized look.
- ablity to track use-by dates ang get notifications

Suggestions/Features that could use improvement:
- Can't search/sort/group/filter item or categories. Everything is lumped into expiration buckets. I have a bunch of stuff with long/no expiration date so there are various categories and they're all in the list together and hard to sort though to find things I used. I'm not using up food according to expiration date....
- Can't modify drop downs. I entered a "location" description that I want to change and now it's in the list forever.
- Can't get back used items. Would be good to be able to add items back that used and now bought again.

Bugs?
- got notification at least nine times in a row (one immediatly after the other) for the same item when I didn't mark it used and just selected the x. If I just ignored it, it went away.
- updated a location on an item and the item's description changed to the location's description.

General nit picky stuff (sorry)

- can't use keyboard for certain items. For example, I'm typing and the drop down is shown, I would rather use the down arrow to select the value I want, but I have to use the mouse/track pad and this is inefficient. Don't know if this is because it's designed to be used on a phone but it's not good if you are using a computer. This is a general comment because I find this in many apps. Perhaps this is a limitation of the code used to create the app? Would love to know. Can't use tab either.

Overall, has lots of potential and wish it was something I could use. I don't need something special but if I'm going to take the time to enter this much information, I would like it to be a little more user friendly and have the abiltiy to make entering frequently used items easier and be able to see the information in a differnt format.

For now, my "old school" notebook process will continue.

**Developer response:** Update: Version 1.3 added the ability to search and filter by category and location. I've also corrected the issue where notifications were coming back on the Mac.

Thanks for your in-depth feedback! I will try to reply to each portion of your review.

Features:
- The quick-add bar does not ever populate with previously used items. It will provide drop downs for category, location, and unit type. If you believe there is buggy behavior in the quick-add bar, could you please send details in an email to chibbysoftware@gmail.com?

Suggestions/Features:
- Search and other sort options are definitely a much-needed feature, and will be added in a future release. Stay tuned!
- I will add a feature request for the ability to modify location history.
- I agree it would be helpful to have a way to view and add back used items. For now, if you create a task from the main editor (not quick-add) and start typing the name of a previously entered item, you can select it from the drop-down list and it will pre-populate fields such as category and unit type to match the previous item of the same name.

Bugs:
- I will look into notifications being re-delivered on the Mac. I'll admit that this app was designed for iPhone and notifications were not thoroughly tested on Mac.
- I'll take a look at the location issue you reported as well.

General:
- Yes, this app was built for iPhone/iPad and ported to Mac using Apple's Catalyst technology, which means that some of the widgets (like drop downs) don't support keyboard interaction. Other apps you've seen with these limitations are probably also created using Catalyst. It doesn't make for an optimal user experience, but it does enable apps to be available on the desktop which otherwise wouldn't be (many companies don't have the resources to dedicate towards developing a whole separate version of their app for MacOS). I'll see if there's anything I can do to improve the user experience of editing items on desktop (tabbing may be possible, for instance).
