The thing that would really make me stick with the app though would be more stats- it’s cool being able to see how many tiles you have so far in a neighborhood but additional stats like number of tiles per day (both new and total), number of visits per neighborhood, and the ability to see a “replay” of your tiles stomped over a day/week/etc would be awesome. And the ability to see the dates of all visits to a tile, not just the first! I love data and features like this would make the app worth continuing to use even when going somewhere I’ve been before. Oh, and more colors please? There are neighborhoods right next to each other marked in the same color ### 4/5 — Love the UI *2026-06-08* The app is good. But if I turn on always allow location, the location mark is always showing on my Island on top. I know this is a very new app and I’m sure there are many updates in the works, but if I may recommend some additions: - You should be able to save and view hexes you haven’t stomped in the same way as hexes you have. It’d be nice to save hexes you plan on visiting later. - You should be able to see your friends’s total hexes visited. A total leaderboard and daily leaderboard could be fun too! - being able to “visit” your friends’ maps and maybe see what areas you’ve gotten that your friend hasn’t, and vice versa. Like a map overlay. Even without that, it would be fun to just be able to see your friends’ maps - being able to sort, search, and filter your visited neighborhoods/cities would be great **Developer response:** So happy to hear how much you're enjoying Stomped! Have fun! ### 5/5 — Such a fun app!! I’ve always wanted something like this *2026-06-06* Love this app and the concept! Some ideas: viewing overlapping maps of where your friends have stomped. Being able to add friends by username and not just a link in messages. Ability to view the # of stomps you’ve made on a tile (for example 19 means you’ve been on the tile 19 times). Different color theme options (love orange but it’d be cool to customize like a pink version, blue version, etc.) a monthly stats page (most you’ve stomped in a day, most stomped area, most stomped city, ranking of cities) **Developer response:** Thrilled you're enjoying it! WalkNYC is better, tracks by block and doesn’t track when you’re on the train. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear you've had difficulty with tracking. The problem is that it takes up like 30% of my battery each day and doesn’t even get all the tiles I “stomped” unless I have the app open and even then it sometimes doesn’t get them all ### 3/5 — There’s Potential *2026-07-01* I really like this app, or at least the premise of the app. It’s actually pretty simple to navigate, but my biggest grievance is sometimes the track in background works, and sometimes it doesn’t. It is especially frustrating when I spent a significant amount of time wandering around only to realize nothing tracked. Alternatively, there’s achievements to be unlocked, but we have no way of knowing what they are… you simply get an achievement if you get one, but if not… you have no idea what you’re trying to work towards. It would be nice to be able to expand the leaderboard function beyond our most stomped city — say the other cities and neighbourhoods that we’ve been to. As some cities or neighbourhoods, I’d argue I’d be one of the top stompers but since they’re not comparable in size to my most stomped city (New York), I’d never know. Overall, the app has a lot of potential. But I’d definitely would like to see the bug fixed for the background tracking because God forbid I have to hold my phone with the app open the entire time to track. It kind of defeats the entire point of going out into the wild and stomping if you have to constantly monitor an app. ### 3/5 — Needs some improvement *2026-06-30* 1) The hexes are just a bit too small, sometimes impossible to get a city block because location is never perfectly accurate 2) it’s annoyed that it takes up the full bar at the top with the blue arrow - other apps that use your location don’t do this. Sometimes it even does this after I quit the app ### 3/5 — concept is cool *2026-06-29* it doesn’t unlock all of the tiles i pass over. there’s big sections of my map that are just missing a ton of tiles even though in those area my service and connection is great. is always freezing up on me. ### 3/5 — awesome concept for travelers *2026-06-18* I travel a LOT by vehicle for work and this app seemed like a super cool way to see that visually! Noticed it drains a lot of battery for a background app, like way more than leaving your bluetooth on would, and it struggles to location track long distances or higher speeds (like at or above ~35mph?) but these are all problems that time and updates can solve :) **Developer response:** Thanks for bringing this feedback to our attention! It would be cool if there was an overall leaderboard with total number of tiles stomped per person. The GPS is inconsistent sometimes, but that is a hardware issue, so not on them. Tiles in this game serve only as a point system for a leaderboard. There should be more badges too.
