I’ve tried coming back thinking the app, will get fixed but it always says “couldn’t connect to the server”. It doesn’t matter if I’m on wi-fi or 5G it doesn’t work for me so I can’t recommend. I think it’s an excellent educational tool for anyone interested in geology. The rock identification feature is precise, and I appreciate the extensive information it provides about each type of rock. The cataloging function has been particularly useful for organizing my collection. I also enjoy seeing the app become more useful and higher quality with each update. However, it would be even better if there was a feature to manually edit rock names when the app can't identify them perfectly. This enhancement would make an already great app even more useful. It was also helpful at identifying which ones were real or fake. Important for those who don’t have a lot of background in stones & don’t want to invest in counterfeits ### 5/5 — Real Rate: 1 star *2024-01-07, version 2.1.2* It is very inaccurate. I was using crystals i already knew to see if it was able to name them, or be close enough, and it was getting them wrong. It was also unable to names shaped crystals (as in crystals formed into a smoother shape). Then, you can not scan more than 3 crystals at a time unless you’re paying 5.99 a month. Definitely a waste, especially considering the incorrect crystal matches. ### 5/5 — I’m Sorry! *2023-12-31* I know it’s most likely me! But all I kept getting was the screen with the camera and I take the picture sometimes it got it right sometimes it didn’t. The only time it got it right was when it was Quartz! So I didn’t find the app to be as diverse as I thought it was and I’m quite sure I’m using it wrong. I couldn’t find any instructions or directions anywhere to help me so I went ahead and canceled my free trial. I’m sorry it looks like such a great app, but I know my brain doesn’t work very well anymore and I’m having trouble! But thank you for letting me give it a shot.
