## Most critical reviews (4 lowest-rated)

### 4/5 — J

*2023-10-05*

I liked seeing the statistics I just wish it required age im 17 and know that’s young to get them so I’m wondering if my chances would be different or if watching what I eat is something I’ll have to do for the rest of my life

### 4/5 — Helpful to compare with others

*2020-02-14*

I’m working on a 4 mm distal stone right now. Luckily my pain is low and my odds are good. Awesome to be able to compare my situation to others. Too bad the app can’t tell me WHEN the stone will pass.

**Developer response:** Dontarius - glad to hear your situation seems favorable.

Stone Pass is not equipped with a crystal ball.

Smaller, more distal stones do pass faster but it is almost impossible to predict when that will happen.

Stone Pass is intended to provide a general picture of how your stone compares to others with known outcomes. It is hoped that this information can guide expectations and improve communication with your care provider.

An experienced urologist or stone specialist can give an individual assessment of your prospects based on your previous stone and medical history and will review of your imaging where they may look for features like the degree of obstruction (hydronephrosis), inflammation around the stone, and other details which couldn’t (and shouldn’t) be captured by an app.

Good luck for prompt, painless, passage. Stone Pass is yours for future stones (which we hope you won’t have).

### 5/5 — Wish I had this app earlier

*2020-02-21*

I wish I would have had this app about a week ago when I went to the ER. There’s lots of anecdotal info on the internet, but that just adds to the confusion and worry. I have a much clearer sense that I can be patient knowing that I have a 97% of passing my kidney stone.

### 5/5 — Just What I Needed

*2020-02-13*

Thank you for creating this App for Kidney Stone patients! This is exactly what I need when I want information about my chances of stone passage. I have been a patient with a history of kidney stones for many years and always one of my first question is “what are the chances my stone will pass”. The comparisons are done quickly based on your individual answers and are visually easy to understand.

Your App compares me to others with similar experiences related to size, location and pain level. I was reassured to see this was based on data from a large population of Kidney Stone patients.

Lastly, included in the App, is very helpful information about kidney stones in general and once again explained in easy to understand information.

This is a great App for one stop information in an episode of acute kidney stone care. There is nothing like it and, as I unfortunately will likely have the need, I will use it again and be sure to tell others.
