Now one of them pointed out that the Japanese version never completed downloading. We pay the quite pricey tickets same as other other countries but don’t get navigated information. It would be appreciated if you get it sorted as early possible. ### 4/5 — Works Fine - Download Via Wi-Fi *2022-11-15, version 2.0.6* Download the app AND the content via Wi-Fi, in advance if you plan ahead. Worked fine for both my wife and I in the cold and rain at Stonehenge in Nov 2022. Numbers at the sites correspond to the app content sections. Interesting commentary paced to an average walk along with extra content if you want to pause and hear more. ### 4/5 — Nicely done *2020-10-11, version 1.0.4* Professional with good use of supporting experts. Listened to this in car on way to Stonehenge. Shortish which was fine for children and me. Only draw back is that this is audio from 2014 and opens with talking about the changes to the car park and visitors centre that can be seen 6 years ago. Kids loved the visit and this audio. ### 2/5 — Fundamentally Flawed on iOS *2020-09-14, version 1.0.4* As has been previously highlighted the commentary drops when you want to use your camera or when your screensaver kicks in. When restarting it also does not restart from where it left off, a real pain. The app has also has not been kept up to date as it makes reference to works which will be completed in 2014. Wake up English Heritage get this right particularly as your on site audio guides have been withdrawn during the Covid issues. It is an embarrassment at the moment. ### 4/5 — Better than it used to be *2020-09-05, version 1.0.4* Certainly much improved as it does now play but irritating that if you tried to use your phone camera or the phone simply went onto standby it would stop playing. I would have thought this was a fairly simple fix to do as other apps play when you are multitasking. Good narration and full of information. ### 3/5 — Good audio guide but poor functionality *2020-08-17, version 1.0.4* The audio guide is good, interesting intro to the site (although slightly out of date reference to works being completed in 2014!). Too bad that the audio doesn’t continue when the app is closed to use the camera. ### 5/5 — This is an „audio guide“ *2019-02-09, version 1.0.4* This is an audio guide, it is not immersive virtual reality, it is not interactive artificial intelligence, it does not claim to offer integration with other apps, offer selfie opportunities or seamlessly switch into social media content prep. This application has no bells and whistles it cannot provide real time advice via predictive behavioural analysis algorithms, it is not GPS enabled, BUT it is an AUDIO GUIDE. It provides guidebook information in audio. ### 3/5 — Great for a freebie but could be improved. *2018-10-28, version 1.0.4* Used the app on a recent visit to the stones and whilst the content was great it was quite irritating that the audio didn’t continue when swapping back and forward from the camera app - an action that I imagine will be a fairly commonplace one given how many people use their phones as their main camera these days. Also, pressing the play/pause button on the Apple earbuds didn’t play/pause the audio, rather it started playing music from the phone’s library instead. Other than these little gripes it’s pretty good, the audio production is of a high quality and the information contained most comprehensive. Fix the multi-tasking and it’ll be a very good app indeed. ### 2/5 — Works as audio guide but needs to be improved to engage children *2018-09-05, version 1.0.4* It’s a good audio guide but it would be great if it was more interactive utilising the capabilities of modern apps to bring a truly engaging experience. Especially for children it could make the experience so much better as they don’t find the audio guide engaging. Use of AR, animations and friendly characters could enhance interaction. My daughter was inspired to visit Stonehenge because of the cartoon series “Go Jetters”. ### 4/5 — Download ahead of time for no issues. *2018-08-31, version 1.0.4* Download ahead of time, or at the visitor center with their free Wi-Fi and you won't have connectivity problems. Arrived at Stonehenge (NOW) and the app ran on a loop of checking for updates and never loaded. I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times with no change in status. Keeps stalling after about a sentence and then the app shuts down. Tried several times and different sections. Downloaded the app. I get 3 seconds of commentary then it crashes back the my home screen. I’m running an iPhone 6s with iOS 11.4.1 So disappointing ### 1/5 — No updated for IOS 11 *2018-06-28, version 1.0.1* The developer hasn’t updated this app for IOS 11 and is not supported ### 1/5 — Sadly content wouldn't download *2017-08-07, version 1.0.1* Unfortunately the content didn't download until tonight, 8 hours after we visited, and five days after we downloaded the app. So we had to purchase the audio guide. My friend's app didn't work and a number of people in the ticket queue had the same problem. However, they were won over by the really engaging content on this app - excellent background and explanations which answered critical questions in a straightforward and interesting way.
