## What is StopGuide?

StopGuide guides you through police traffic stops in real time — keeping you calm, informed, and protected.

The moment you're pulled over, you press the flashing red card. The app starts recording, logs your GPS location, and walks you step-by-step through exactly what to do. An AI assistant listens to what you or the officer says and instantly tells you your rights — what you must do, what you can refuse, and what to say.

KEY FEATURES

• Real-time AI guidance — the app listens and responds to anything the officer says with clear, legally-grounded advice
• Step-by-step stop guide — know exactly what to do from the moment you pull over to when the officer walks away
• Automatic recording — audio recording starts the instant you tap the button
• GPS location logging — your coordinates are saved automatically when the stop begins
• Emergency contact alert — silently texts a trusted contact when a stop starts
• Know your rights — Georgia traffic laws and your constitutional rights, always visible
• Stop documentation — a full incident report is saved after every stop

Your rights don't disappear during a traffic stop. RoadSide Assistant makes sure you always know them.

Currently optimized for Georgia traffic law (O.C.G.A.).

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-07-27

The recordings that were saved would only save a few seconds or none of the session, so I fixed this. I also made the listening mode stage easier to access by only clicking the red button once, and there is now minimal talking before the app begins listening. The disclaimer before recording now only appears once every install instead of every time the red button is clicked.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-01

Minor bug fixes pertaining to AI guidance. The JSON was getting cut off mid response, so I raised the token limit. Also, the Groq free tier service is solely for testing, not for production, so I switched to OpenRouter which provides free production-grade models. The app is currently unusable due to a broken API and restriction to my Groq account. After these changes, it should be up and running.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-06-30

No release notes.
