I was in the TestFlight beta and when it expired briefly I was so upset that I had to go back to the default. The interface is simple, beautiful, and ergonomic. This is a great camera app. It’s like installing a bloody good bit of solid varnished wood furniture into your house. Does the basic flat pack IKEA shelves work? They’re alright, but nothing can beat the artisan craftsmanship of a good bit of mahogany. This is that, but free—every camera option has been carefully selected to please the eyes. The UI is uncluttered and welcoming. This might just be the app that feels good, too—a rare case where the developer takes full use of the haptics to make every button press make your fingers smile. I have no idea who the developer is and I’ve long since forgotten why I signed up for the TestFlight, but now it’s on the App Store, I feel obliged to pay my appreciation for this project. I’m still just as crap at photography and thanks to this app I wouldn’t have it any other way. ### 5/5 — Scratches the itch *2023-05-29, version 1.0.2* I’ve been using it as an instant film replacement for when i don’t want to use one of my 36 exposures in a film roll, using it since the testflight beta and had only improved since. It has completely replaced my default Camera app for everyday use. Just point, and shoot. It doesn’t pretend to turn your smartphone’s prosaic camera into an elite professional tool rife with precise settings adjustments. It allows you to capture a moment and hold onto it forever — unostentatiously — as a camera should. This app is for photography romantics. What was a super simple app with great utility has become useless I uninstalled it ### 3/5 — I used to love this app *2024-01-24, version 1.3* As other have mentioned, the shutter suddenly stopped working. I have taken thousands of pictures with this app since I downloaded it months ago. Then randomly one day I lost hours of pictures because they didn't save. I love what this creator has done, and I hope they recover this app. ### 3/5 — Abandonware *2023-12-08, version 1.3* The app is wonderfully designed and is a joy to use, when the shutter actually works and the photo is taken, which has been hit or miss for me. Oftentimes the app does nothing when you take a photo and you just miss out on the moment entirely. I paid for Pro subscription but seems like any updates for this app stopped a while ago and developer link from the AppStore just redirects back to the AppStore. Not cool ### 3/5 — Almost perfect *2023-07-23* The image doesn't get saved if I snap a picture and switch to the gallery too fast / early 😔 would be great to get a fix for this, would give it 5/5 otherwise. ### 4/5 — Great with a few bugs *2024-04-04, version 1.3* I want to love this app, but a couple of things are holding it back. First, if I open it while listening to music, the music pauses, which is annoying. Also, there doesn’t seem to be an option to use my phone’s wide angle lense. But as a parent, I can’t lose moments, and sometimes this shutter isn’t as responsive as the standard camera, causing me to miss moments. I love using it. It has replaced my default camera app (and I have been using lots of apps across my Android and iPhone). I still use my Android for low light photography and video, but those are the only two exceptions.
