Not sure how this app works. **Developer response:** You add the fonts you want to block. There's more information here: https://underpassapp.com/StopTheFonts/support-ios.html ### 3/5 — Some issues are there *2023-05-06* I like it overall because it will change the website fonts to the native one. But other icons in the websites (like search etc), particularly the ones in the website headers appear as boxes. Need a fix for that. ### 3/5 — One issue *2023-04-06, version 1.0* It doesnt turn off site by site when you select "turn off content blockers" for an individual website. Its all or nothing. **Developer response:** That's controlled by Safari itself, not by the content blocker, so it should be impossible. I would suggest you default to blocking 3rd party fonts instead of none because if we wanted none, we could simply not install or not enable the extension :) ### 5/5 — Please add app to the manage extension list in Safari *2026-02-11* Works but needs ability to access settings from Safari extension list if hidden from App view. Glad it doesn't take up space if that was the intended reasoning but not user friendly. Hiermit deaktiviere ich das und es wird die Systemschrift genutzt. ### 5/5 — Webfonts blockieren *2023-11-17* Die App macht, was sie soll, und das sehr zuverlässig und minimal. Ein einfacher Content Blocker, der Webfonts blockieren kann. Entweder alle, oder nur die, die von Drittanbietern stammen. Durch das Blockieren von Webfonts erhöht sich die Performance von Websites und gerade mobil reduziert es auch das verbrauchte Datenvolumen, um ein Vielfaches. Der Entwickler ist etabliert durch andere Apps (primär StopTheMadness) und antwortet zudem schnell auf E-Mails und Fragen. Für mich eine wunderbare Ergänzung zum DNS-Adblocking, da hier die Möglichkeiten für das Blockieren von Webfonts stark begrenzt sind, was StopTheFonts zur perfekten Ergänzung werden lässt. Kann ich nur empfehlen, auch gerade deshalb, weil die Erweiterung sehr schlank ist und damit eben nicht unnötig den Akku durch allerlei Blockierregeln leersaugt. Klare Empfehlung meinerseits also. ### 5/5 — I don't understand how to use this app. *2023-05-05* I selected block all 3rd party fonts and now sites all render in what looks like times new roman? super ugly? Is there a tutorial or nice looking presets in the app that I could use? **Developer response:** Times is the default font in Safari, so that would be the fallback if the site hasn't specified another fallback. The only function of StopTheFonts is to block web fonts from loading. For privacy and security, it has no access to web pages and can't style them. ### 5/5 — Simple et fonctionnel *2023-04-26* Permet de bloquer les polices tierces sur l'ensemble des sites visités ou sur seulement sur certains. Ça limite le tracking et ça crée une cohérence visuelle d'un site web à un autre. Que du bon ! ## Most praised reviews (2 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Macht was es soll *2023-04-11* Seit Version 2 kann man nun bequem fonts von thirdparties blockieren und dafür selbstgehostete Fonts wie Icon Fontbibliotheken (Beispiel Font Awesome) zulassen. Sehr schön! ### 5/5 — Sinnvoller Blocker *2023-04-05* Der Blocker erfüllt meine Erwartungen vollständig. In Safari Web Inspector kann man den Effekt leicht überprüfen: Web-Fonts werden nicht mehr geladen und entlasten so auch den Browser-Cache.Meine Meinung nach gewinnen viele Web-Sites sogar, wenn man deren Web-Fonts blockiert. Deshalb benutze ich auch als Default "Block Web Fonts".
