### 4/5 — Technology evangelist

*2013-09-28, version 2.52*

Cool app... I can control access to all my cloud services from one app. I have more than three Cloud services including my own Synology and Apple Lion server WebDAV. Integration is pretty cool but a bit slow. The bitly link features are awesome.

### 4/5 — Smestorage

*2012-11-28, version 2.23*

This app is a must have if you want to easily manage and have functionality between up to 3 cloud apps. Sme a very advanced app. So far I've been able to download zip files from my email, un-zip (or in sme terminology unarchive) and send to any of my cloud accounts. I can transfer files between clouds from the app either by cloud copy or cloud cut, the later of which will move the file. There's definitely a learning curve for the advanced features, but the ones I described are easy learn. SME has bar non the best tech support I've ever dealt with. On three occasions I needed help to learn the functions, and within 30 minutes tech support had my problem resolved. P.S. not being tech savvy the 3 problems were on my end. By far this is one of the best apps I've purchased. The functionality it provides the Pages App alone makes SME worth every penny.

### 4/5 — iPad/iPhone user

*2012-06-10, version 2.19*

Started using this service so I could use WebDAV to access Dropbox etc. from Pages. Found the app to be very functional and use it quite often; so much so that SMEstorage is my main cloud server now. One criticism is the UI could look better.....

### 3/5 — I like it

*2012-03-22, version 2.19*

I really like this app, especially the FTP service that's bundled with it, makes it easier to move things from my Mac to iPhone, it's cool. It crashes quite frequently, I understand there is bugs waiting to be removed, I would love it more. And sometimes it takes forever to log in, I mean hours, I am not sure if it's the bandwidth thing. Looking forward to the updates.

### 4/5 — Uploads all pictures at once

*2011-10-03, version 2.17*

Because it let me clear off all my pics to the cloud skydrive without ugly iTunes! And because i could get sugar sync to do this with a paid subscription, I will be generous and give it 4 stars. But 5 stars, how could I do that when it has a million options that do not seem to do anything. Read some user interface books people!. More is less. To upload multiple pics, not videos, those are 1 at a time. Use the media menu. There I saved you 10 minutes so go ahead and buy it and sign up on skydive for a free 50 gb!

Select your pics then go to bed. And set a reminder to cancel your 5 dollar a month sugar sync despite its user friendly interface.

### 4/5 — Works great, but a little complex

*2011-09-05, version 2.13*

I bought this app primarily so that I can access the CloudDAV features SME offers. Purchasing this offers a user access to CloudDAV, which then allows use of WevDAV via the iWork apps. As a file manager/cloud manager, the app works well, though I have noticed it is a bit complex for what I need to do. I own iFiles as well and find that app's interface more user friendly. If you have an SME account, this app is the only way to access your SME cloud files directly. Overall, I would recommend it for those who want/need cloud file management on the go and/or need WebDAV access for your iWork stuff. I actually use it in conjunction with iFiles, though when I want to do file management, I use iFiles.

### 5/5 — Replace DropDav

*2011-05-20, version 2.10*

DropDav drops a $5 fee across the board, so I bailed. iSMEstorage fills the gap now. Nice file browser along with other features not available in DropDav makes the ONE-TIME FEE worth it! If you use or used DropDav, I suggest you make the switch now!!!

### 4/5 — Best customer respponse

*2010-11-19, version 0*

The program didn't work well for me(a bug in the program) I still rate this four stars because the technical support is the best I have ever seen. The developer responded in as little as five minutes to my email and assures me the issue will be corrected on the next release.

### 4/5 — Great app, quick response

*2010-11-19, version 0*

When I first downloaded this app, my account was pre-locked to SME's free cloud service. I started out annoyed, since I had downloaded it to have access to my existing Live Mesh account. But as soon as I complained to the help system I was directed to contact customer support to change this. I recieved a cordial response very quickly, and was given two free slots for my own cloud accounts, as advertised.

With that detail sorted out, I am now very happy with this service. It is the only app I have found that really works well with Live Mesh, has excellent built in preview capabilities, and, unlike some apps, is friendly about opening files in any app that registers for the filetype.

I have had no stability or other issues with the program and have no complaints about which features it includes.

The missing star is for the initial inconvenience, even though I understand the commercial reasons for doing it that way. It would be more convenient for new users if the app description or starting page at registration mentioned the extra step, so that new users would not waste time trying to configure their account before contacting cs. After that, great app.

### 5/5 — Local File Manager Rocks!

*2010-11-19, version 0*

I bought this for the Cloud File Manager and it works great for my DropBox and SkyDrive files, and the local file manager is such a bonus. I'd have bought it for this feature alone !

Now I can FTP files up to my iPad, and also open files from Mail and other Apps and cut and paste them into their relevant directory structures, and even paste new files into my nominated sync directory and sync back up to my file cloud. All from the iPad, amazing!

Throw in the ability to take notes/voice notes and sync them back to my SkyDrive and DropBox and you have a winner!

### 5/5 — Crash fixed

*2010-11-17, version 0*

I had a problem with crashing when opening, but the developer got right back with me and the problem is fixed. Very impressive response to,a concern.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2010-11-11, version 0*

This application is perfect for those looking for a method to access multiple cloud storage systems.

Within minutes I was up and running. And although I was successful at connecting google docs, Skydrive and dropbox, I was limited to selecting only two providers using the free version, truly not an issue considering the cost, in fact I may soon upgrade to the pro version shorty after I kick the tires awhile longer.

The added features of remote upload is slick. This feature enables your ability to send files from any remote network to the cloud storage.

I know there are other apps with this ability but You can also store voice and text memos to the cloud...

The option to you open files within the iSMEStorage or other App loaded on your iPad that support the file types was a nice touch.

Integrated web browser and email support worked well.

There are a number of other features that Im sure will prove useful once you give the app a try. You have nothing to loose...

I believe the team has done an outstanding job with the development and support. I sense great success for your efforts. Looking forward to future releases.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2024-01-23*

I touch it & it closes

### 1/5 — I like SMECbut apps are terrible.

*2018-03-05, version 8.9*

Just complicated and ugly. Looks like it’s made for first iPhone.

### 1/5 — doesn’t work

*2018-01-28, version 8.8*

useless. can’t even get to login screen on ios 11.2.5

### 1/5 — SME app doesn’t work

*2017-11-01, version 8.6*

App doesn’t work since iOS 11.

### 1/5 — Better off with Googe Drive or Drop Box

*2014-12-02, version 3.12*

This app initially performed well and then failed miserably, eg, difficulty opening files, deleting files and folders, etc. My experience with SME customer service was not positive. I found them unhelpful and learned the SME tech support is nearly completely confined to a user forum which also was not helpful. I've already paid for this buggy app, but have since abandoned it rather than continue to hemorrhage time and effort trying to get it to work.

### 1/5 — Gateway Out of the Country?

*2010-10-18, version 0*

I didn't realize this was a gateway app through a private company with offices in the UK and Ukraine (according to the SMEStorage web site) until after I purchased and installed the app. It sounds like a useful service but I am just not comfortable giving a company (let alone one located outside the states)access to my cloud storage passwords and informaton. I bought the app and then almost immediately deleted it after learning I had to register with SMEStorage in order to use the app software. The bad rating is for the concept not the potential usefulness of the software. Since I couldn't access the software I couldn't review it's usefulness.

### 1/5 — Disappointing! I want my money back! Poorly-designed interface

*2010-09-13, version 0*

I'm terribly disappointed by the poorly-designed interface. Text? Is this a throwback to MS-DOS days? Consider this: yes, you can access your cloud service but the usefulness stops right there. If you have a huge photo collection, you need to view each photo one by one to find out which one you need. No thumbnail previews. For instance, if you have a Skydrive account with a huge photo collection, you are better off accessing your photos from a regular desktop with a regular browser because you see all of the thumbnails in one sweep on your screen, not a darn listing of names of your photos. That's the catch, the app is described by the vendor as capable of viewing files, but who wants to view hundreds of photo files one by one because there are no thumbnail previews?

Another gotcha: uploading photos from your iPad album is darn cumbersome. Can you upload batches of photos? Hell, no!!! You are back to a one by one, time-consuming process.

This app sounded promising, but lamentably implemented. Caveat emptor. Buyer beware. Not even worth $3.99 at all.

### 2/5 — The concept is great, the execution...not so much

*2012-02-10, version 2.19*

I had high hopes for this product as it was one of the few that claimed integration to Live Mesh, but it doesn't synch very well and it never was able to synch all of my files onto my iPad. I contacted support, but once I got them the informatoin they requested, I never heard back from them.

The iPad interface needs simplicity.

### 2/5 — Cloud management that could be better

*2012-02-01, version 2.19*

It's a great concept but marred with complex UI. To complicate the issue, their service is void of some basic features that needs to be purchased as addons on their website. Although, it helps me to offload my iPhone photos and cleanup some space on my phone, I was looking for a one stop cloud management. I am disappointed with this app.

### 2/5 — Horrible!

*2011-09-19, version 2.13*

I bought this app because I wanted to sync my skydrive with my ipad.
The first problem is the setup, you are forced to create an account to use the app (in addition to my already existing skydrive) is a pain because you need to leave the app a couple of this to activate and configure your account
After that you get lost in so many useless options, took me a while to figured how to do a full sync of the account with my ipad.
Now my application is totally frozen while uploads some pics to the skydrive server.

The application is robust, i didnt had any crash yet, and they do what they promisse, but the ui and user experience is so awful that i really wish i had my money back

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Single Pane of glass view to all my storage

*2013-07-18, version 2.42*

I use this app all the time. I get access to my Box, Dropbox, Google drive, and iCloud accounts with great options to synchronize, share and collaborate from my iOS devices. I get all the productivity from one application interface.

### 5/5 — Best option for utilizing WebDAV

*2012-09-06, version 2.22*

After reading reviews I thought this would be the best option to store files on Dropbox via WebDAV and my decision was correct. After installing the app, I had some configuration problems but their tech support worked diligently to help me resolve all my issues. I will highly recommend this application to anyone who wants complete control of file transfers to cloud storage. I find the application to be well designed and a powerful tool for everyone from the basic user to the most advanced.

Thank-you Ana at iSMEstorage!

### 5/5 — SMEstorage great for sending files to the cloud from my iPad

*2012-04-17, version 2.19*

This is really a nifty product! When you consider that the iPad app is under $5, and it is a one time charge, it is a great deal. I use it for sending Pages and Numbers documents to Dropbox through a WebDav connection and it works very well. It was a bit tricky setting up at first and I had to have their Support Dept enable the iPad app, but they were very responsive. It took under an hour and they had gotten back to my email and fixed my problem.
I disagree with a couple of the earlier reviews, I find this product to be very reliable and it is very flexible. Thanks for a great product!

### 5/5 — Cloud Soultion

*2012-04-16, version 2.19*

I had a feeling that an effort to integrate cloud storage would begin. With SME this is reality, all my scattered storage is now supported and accessible from any of my portable devices. Very intuitive.

### 5/5 — Great product!

*2012-04-13, version 2.19*

iSMEStorage Is a great product for the iPad that delivers its promise of setting up sites like Dropbox to function as webDAV clients. I use DropBox a lot in my business. Documents to Go does a wonderful job of quickly uploading and dowloading files from DropBox.

However, I also sometimes want the robust feature set afforded me by Notes and Pages. Since iSMEStorage allows my Notes and Pages to save to wevDav, it becomes a pretty easy path for me to open, let's say, a Pages document in DropBox, and bring it into Pages, whose interface I love. I make the needed changes using Pages and then upload the document back to DropBox using iSMEStorage. The process of saving to DropBox is not as streamlined as using Documents to Go, who offers direct support for DropBox.

However, I am excited that I can now use my suite of Pages, Numbers and Keynote, and actually now have a pretty good way of manipulating these files in and out of DropBox.

Congratulations on a great product that is priced very well so that anyone can afford to use this technology. I looked forward to future enhancements, and must also ad how great your technical support has been,

Keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — Best App Ever!

*2012-03-17, version 2.19*

Just what I have been looking everywhere for! Best app for connecting to all my different Cloud Storage points and managing them from one App. Best of the breed!! I signed up for the free account and within five minutes I bought the Personal Lifetime plan--I was that impressed!!

### 5/5 — Business S3

*2011-12-06, version 2.19*

I'm using this as a type of business overlay for my S3 files on the move. It's not perfect as no app is, but it give me some useful business type features for me files, and I like that meeting note and recorded voice meetings get sync'd back there. The email import (web only) was also pretty useful once I figured out how to do it. This app has potential as a nice mobile office. I'd love them to add offline email into it, but right now opening S3 files directly into iWork is a step in the right direction.

Updated: Now Supports PogoPlug....very nice

### 5/5 — Works great with iWork and Dropbox

*2011-10-30, version 2.19*

I bought this app to add a WebDAV layer to my Dropbox account so I could export PDFs to my Dropbox account from my iWork apps. Creating an account is a little convoluted, but the app works great and the cloud services work flawlessly.

### 5/5 — Helpful Support Team

*2011-10-12, version 2.19*

2.19 update very nice. Being able to access Office365 from iPad alone makes the App worthwhile

Had some challenges initially using this. Registered for default SMEStorage free account and thought I had to pay to add clouds, but after contacting support they kindly swapped me to Skydrive and Google Docs and I realised I had made a mistake when registering as there were more choices if I clicked on the "Free SMEStorage S3" option. After that I could not get my SkyDrive working and again they stepped me through getting this working. Great support goes a long way.

### 5/5 — Only local sync from cloud app out there

*2011-05-25, version 2.10*

If you want to go from cloud to iDevice, you typically need iTunes or some other local server in between. This app avoids that. Our CEO wanted to sync files from a cloud account without any local computer involved, just their iPad. This app was able to sync from cloud to device directly, keeping local copies available where the Internet is not, for example on an airplane.

If you have problems or questions, their support is quick and quite helpful.

If you are looking to sync and save files locally, this is the app to get.
