How it works
Scan your Apple Photos library. Choose a date range — last 30 days, the past year, or your entire library — or set a custom range. Storage Trimmer analyses (on your device) every photo and video using Apple's on-device machine learning, then groups similar shots into clusters for you to review.
Browse cluster by cluster. See every near-duplicate side-by-side. Zoom in to check sharpness and framing. Review metadata including file size, dimensions, camera model, and capture time. When you've decided what to cut, hit delete — Storage Trimmer sends deletions through Apple Photos, which keeps them in Recently Deleted for 30 days, just in case. You also can add the photos you want to keep to specific albums, create new albums, and send the photos to friends and family.
