At first it would not install the app. I feel like I’ve wasted my money because now I have to search for and purchase an alternative. It takes forever to even figure out how to try to transfer files, just for it to fail over and over. Your better off just wishing with all your might that your files will make it to another place than try to get this thing to transfer a file, because it is never going to be able to do that for you. Return it immediately! *2020-11-04, version 2.12* I paid $65 plus for this thumb drive. It was a major nightmare. Don't even read the instructions. Or what passes for them. Nothing is explained. Nothing about this product is intuitive. The website is difficult to use and offers no help. There is no warranty information to be found anywhere, and because I opened and tried to use the thumb drive, I cannot return it. The phone number for support sends you to some Middle Eastern Land and the accents of the sincere techs are so thick you cannot properly communicate with them or they with you. So far I'm still trying to reach someone to help me with the issues I have with it--my 4th gen iPad mini does not recognize the thumb drive, though the app shows that its reading the data on the iPad. Just don't do it! Don't think, well, this is what I've got now, I must press on with this. It's a waste of your time and emotional energy. Return it and get something else! Upon updating to the latest iOS the option to paste into store ‘n’ go no longer appears. The UI is a complete departure from anything else in the iOS ecosystem, making it highly unintuitive, but the worst part is the app simply DOES NOT WORK most of the time. File copies fail for mysterious reasons and when they do complete the files are often corrupt. The app is in desperate need of an update but hasn’t had one in two years as of this review so don’t hold your breath. Verbatim is an old school name in storage media and used to be one I trusted, but after my experience with this abominable app I’m taking my business elsewhere from now on. ### 1/5 — Benefit of the Doubt *2023-03-14, version 2.12* I must say that i had much better luck with the warranty department as they couldn’t troubleshoot it (incapable of creating a folder destination) and had the same issues when receiving the replacement. iPhone 8 with current software- didn’t recognize upon plug in. Way too much of my life wasted trying to move files. A driver was not automatically installed as indicated. But, MS File Explorer had access to the drive anyway. OK. Proceed. Next, installed into iPhone 10XR. App was not automatically downloaded as indicated. Instead, a notice that the app was not available popped up. Ok. Next step, went to App Store and searched for ‘Verbatim.’ Voila! It was there. I read many of the reviews, most which were very negative claiming the device didn’t work. I got discouraged and disappointed as I had bought a similar device from another manufacturer that was a complete failure. With trepidation I decided to give it a go and downloaded the app. When I opened it, I played around with it. It seemed simple enough and intuitive. Next, I was able to create multiple file folders contrary to the negative reviews. Next, I moved a couple of dozen photos from the phone to the USB drive. Success. I then copied a bunch more. Success again! Most of the bad reviews claimed this function didn’t work. It worked for me exactly as claimed. Moreover, I was able to put the pictures in individual folders. The menu item ‘Photos’ shows all of them mixed together. But, I can see them selectively in their folders. For the next test, I plugged it into the laptop. And there were all the file folders in MS File Explorer! What more could I want? From the bad reviews, I was ready to return the USB drive.
