## What is Stores?

Shared grocery lists without another subscription.

Stores is a calmer grocery list for couples, partners, and households. Add something from home, keep the details with the item, and watch the same list update while either of you shops.

ONE PERSONAL LIST IS FREE

Use one list and the everyday tools on your own for free. Premium is a one-time $4.99 upgrade in the U.S. It unlocks sharing, unlimited lists, camera tools, and more. The person you invite joins that shared list free. Their other lists stay Free unless they upgrade. App Store pricing may vary by storefront.

SHOP THE SAME LIST

Share with a short code. No contact access needed. Add items, leave comments, tag where to buy them, and check things off together. Changes stay in sync on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

KNOW WHERE TO BUY IT

Tag items by store, then filter your list while you shop. Optional location reminders on iPhone and iPad can nudge you when you arrive. Tap the alert to open the list filtered for that store, or clear the filter to see everything again. Your precise location and saved branch coordinates stay on your device.

KEEP THE DETAILS WITH THE ITEM

Leave a comment when the brand, size, or flavor matters. With Premium on iPhone and iPad, scan a barcode or attach a photo of the exact thing to buy.

REMIND YOURSELF AT THE RIGHT TIME

Add due dates and times, choose an exact alert or a daily due digest, and repeat items by weekday or day of the month.

NO ADS. NO TRACKING.

Stores has no ads or in-app analytics. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising or tracking. Solo use does not require an account.

We built Stores because the two of us could not agree on a grocery list. We are a married couple making Stores in Oregon, and we still use it for our own groceries every week.

### 5/5 — Makes this chore easy

*2026-07-02*

Love this app. My husband I are were used to sketching out a list on paper, forgetting items (remembering them when we didn’t have the paper), then forgetting the piece of paper after heading out the door to the store. This app makes it easy to share, add items when we think of them, and mark them off the list as we go. Love it- simplicity!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-08-08

Today is available on iPhone and iPad with Premium and two or more lists; it is not available on Mac. See items from all your lists together, then swipe an item to move it to tomorrow or take it off your day without deleting it.

Comments under an item. When the newest comment is from someone you share with, it now appears below the item until you reply.

Joining a list. Enter the invite code, review the list, then join. The steps now use the full screen, and an invitation you leave is still waiting when you return.

Your order for stores and tags. In a list's settings, touch and hold a store or tag to drag it. Your order does not change anyone else's.

The look of the app. The color ribbon now moves over water, each screen uses one orange button for its main action, and buttons that delete use plain red text.

Cleaner App settings. Today has its own settings screen, List switcher at the bottom is under Appearance, and Add by voice is under Adding items.

Rotation follows your device. When Rotation Lock is off, Stores turns with your iPhone or iPad. Open Control Center to turn Rotation Lock on or off. The Settings page stays upright on iPhone while it is open.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-07-23

Join a shared list right from the start. If someone sent you an invite code, you can join their list before making one of your own.
A gentler thank-you. When your partner thanks you for a shopping run, a little rise of hearts drifts up the screen.
Calmer tips. Hints show once, then step out of the way.
Plus small fixes and refinements.

### 1.4 — 2026-07-22

Stores 1.4 brings the full list experience to iPad.

- Keep your lists in a sidebar and the current list open beside them on iPad.
- Get an optional reminder when you arrive at a store. Tap it to open the right list, already filtered for that store.
- Add a time to a task and choose an exact alert or a daily due digest.
- Preview a shared list before joining it.
- List owners can stop sharing with one person. Stores explains when access has been removed.
- Repeat items by weekday or day of the month.
- See the one-time price and what Premium includes in a clearer upgrade screen.
- When a shopping trip is done, thank whoever went. They get it even if the app is closed.
- Enjoy smaller fixes and polish across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

### 1.3.3 — 2026-07-12

Faces on your lists.

- Profile photos. Add a photo of yourself and it shows wherever your name does, for both of you. Part of the one-time upgrade.
- Hundreds of new list icons. Tap All icons, search for anything, and give every list its own face. Also part of the upgrade.
- Put the list switcher at the bottom. Settings, App, General — easier to reach one-handed.
- Tell a friend about Stores from Settings, and a spot to rate it.
- Small fixes and polish throughout.

### 1.3.2 — 2026-07-09

A mic in the add bar, and waves of color
- Add items by voice. Tap the mic in the add bar, say what you need, and tap again to add it. Speech never leaves your phone.
- The widget comes in a large size now, and the medium size fits six items. If you own the unlock, the widget gets a camera button that jumps straight to scanning.
- Soft waves of color roll along the bottom of your lists. It's called the Awning. Turn it off, or match it to your list's color, in Display settings.
- Every shopping trip gets a receipt now, even a quick one-item run.
