However, this app has many issues with my iPad2. I am unable to edit the title page picture or text after creation of the book, I am unable to delete pages (despite the picture in the App Store), and the text boxes allow you to type more than can be displayed on the title or pages. I have painfully managed to get around these issues because the app costs so much, but it could benefit from a much needed update. ### 2/5 — Needs improvement *2012-09-19, version 1.1* I did find this app useful for creating stories to use with my students on story building and vocabulary. Unfortunately, I did not realize the app won't work without Internet access. I wish I could access stories created without having to access wifi (which is not currently available at my worksite). I like the ease of operation and features of the app; However, I wish there was the option to share the finished story with direct email rather than through Dropbox -It is too confusing when there are several files (text, audio, etc). ### 3/5 — It's ok *2012-07-20, version 1.0* The only reason I purchased this app is so I could share my students stories with their parents. I found out after paying the 4.99 that the person you are sharing with must have the app. Most of my parents do not have the technology to view the stories. Other than that, it's a cool app. ### 3/5 — Simple, Maybe too Simple *2012-06-27, version 1.0* This is an easy app, and in an early education setting could be a handy tool, but it lacks features and doesn't do much that other apps or combintions of apps can do. the up-side is that it's streamline, easy and not clutered. ### 4/5 — Nice easy to,use app *2014-07-25, version 1.3* This app is very simple to use with good features, including the audio. One issue is that the story doesn't display the cover. The other main and more important issue is that it is very hard to share. You can presumably share through Dropbox, but when I tried, it saved over a dozen files separately including audio, text and photos, making it useless. It should be shareable via email. With social stories, consistent review and sharing with other support people in the child's life, parents, teachers, other caregivers and family is critical for maximum effectiveness. This would make it a really invaluable app, but without it, it may limit its effectiveness. ### 4/5 — Almost Gave It 5 Stars.... Almost! *2013-01-14, version 1.3* Love this app! Does everything I need it to do... except for 2 things.... I needed to edit the title of the book and the photo of the front of the book and haven't been able to do this... HOPEFULLY this is just an oversite and in the next update this feature will be available. Everything else is FANTASTIC! ### 4/5 — Wonderful App *2012-07-28, version 1.1* This is a wonderful app. I had trouble with it because I sync my child's iPad to mine at this time, which does not work so could not use. The developer was great, very responsive and helpful. I think it is a great app and would give it 5 stars if it were not for that issue. As long as you only use it on one iPad, and don't try to sync to another iPad I think it would be well worth buying as it allows you to easily use your own pictures in making up stories and seemed more intuitively user friendly than other similar apps. And it is really pretty! Easier to use than other apps like it, too. Just be aware that it is not for the parent who manages their child's iPad by syncing to their own at this time, though with luck the developer might make that work in the future. I would recommend it as a really nice app. ### 4/5 — This could be great for our infant *2012-06-24, version 1.0* I was already roughing out a "This is your life" story for our infant and highlighting all the little things babies learn as they grow, so this will be a great option for sharing that with her! ### 4/5 — Good app *2012-06-22, version 1.0* This is a really easy to use app. I think my nephews will get a kick out of it when I show it to them. Easy to use and save stories. ### 5/5 — Great teaching pratice! *2012-09-25, version 1.1* As a special education teacher and a parent, this app is great for both my worlds. It can be used with my students and my own children. The best feature is that stories can be shared and used in a variety of settings, including community outings with bus rides. As a teacher this helps my students generalize skills faster. As a parent, it allows us to share special memories with our loved ones who couldn't be there to share them with us. We have been able to make social stories about upcoming events and use it during big transition. For example, we just went on an international flight and my daughter played and replayed the story made about going on a plane ride. ### 5/5 — Excellent *2012-07-24, version 1.0* Love this!
