That said, recently tried to get back into the game and was disappointed to discover that in-app purchases no longer work. **BEWARE: You will still be charged every time you try to purchase content, but you won't receive the content!!** Very disappointing and because this is an old game, it probably won't ever be fixed. Gameplay is very enjoyable... but the frikken advert window pops up on every screen change and even freezes everything during combat to kill you to get you to watch a video DURING COMBAT. Deleting game SOLELY BECAUSE OF DEFECTIVE ADVERT obsessive pop-up annoyance design. Subtracting star from review in regards to defective advertising choice. You do not pop up ads in combat, guarenteed game deletion WITH NO FUTURE AD REVENUE BECAUSE OF ANNOYING AD POPUPS. You want people to watch your ads and earn you money? TONE IT THE FRICK DOWN. Or people will delete your app in 5 minutes and zero future ad-watch bucks make themselves enter your pockets. ### 3/5 — Annoying pop ups *2018-07-12, version 1.6.0* Pretty fun arcade shooter. Only problem is that the watch for free stuff ad keeps popping up every 10 seconds, even while in game. Very tedious cause it slowly becomes a grindfest to do one bit more damage or gain a little bit extra time. It was fun for a bit with the challenge of having to balance being fast cause of the portal and being cautious cause of the 1 heart you start with, but once you get to the upper levels it just becomes stressful and unbearable. Also theres a bug when I get to Skull Keep that basically resets me to the beginning of the floor no matter how many levels i beat. If I close the app, it resets me completely. So much fun. It’s unique, action packed, arcade-style fun! But one day, it reverted back to the introduction scene and crashes to home screen. Every single time. The developers returned a couple of emails and we tried some troubleshooting, but then gave up on me and I never got a response to my last two correspondences. I even sent a screen recording of the crash. Makes me sad, because this is one of the absolute best iOS games I’ve ever played! 😢 ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2018-01-02, version 1.6.0* The crashing and the deletion of items takes Storm Casters from a delightful romp through absurdity to a long dragged-out exercise in futility. Of the 38 card types I had yesterday, 23 remain today, and many of the previously fully fused cards are now onsie-twosies. Of the couple dozen gemstones, one. My player level is still 32, as it was after yesterday’s marathon, and the second set of dungeons is accessible (but now utterly hopeless). Do I try to grind my way to level 40 and see if the game is worth playing again? Naw, four days of frustration is enough. *I opened the game again after I wrote this. 18 cards now. Delete. ### 1/5 — Good to bad to worse *2017-10-08, version 1.6.0* My only issue when I first started playing was the constant crashing. They fixed that but now that I'm much further along the game has become a tedious chore. It's no longer fun to play, it's simply annoying. Progress has come to a halt and I find myself farming old levels simply to boost my attack by 1 point at a time. This is great game at first but it quickly becomes a completely frustrating bore. I really liked this game but it just gets slower and slower in regards to progress. It's simply not fun anymore. Level 49 and I'm done. Feeling full ripped off. Really liked this game and finally got to the end after working it for literally 2 months. Reached the end and at the final shot the game crashed.
