Is one of the best card-strategy game I’ve ever played. Not sure if is my phone though… I could never play it again because it keeps crashing from time to time. It’s kind of like a mix of MtG and Chess, scaled down. It feels very fun to play. If you have an evenly matched opponent. Unfortunately, cards can be leveled up in this game. Which seems innocuous enough at first, but the card level cap goes up with each level of competition. So if your skill outpaces your cards’ levels, you’re screwed. You may find yourself rather frustrated - stuck at the bottom of diamond league after racing through platinum two months in a row. And the only way to level up your cards enough to keep up is to pay $$$ money or wait a very, very long time grinding and earning in game currency and hoping stuff shows up in the shop. The game itself is great, I’m not denying that, but I have spent over $150 already and that should be enough to enjoy it fully. If I wanted to actually be competitive right now and level up just the cards from the decks that I’ve been using, from levels 3 and 4 to 5, I’d have to spend at least $400. Wack AF. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work *2026-08-27, version 1.10.119* About 40% of games are predetermined by card rng, either you get the perfect rotation or they get the perfect rotation. Only like 60% of games are the winner is who outplays the other. It’s actually not bad odds assuming of that 40% it’s 50/50. Unfortunately, this game is pay to win (and the level caps aren’t nearly enough) and in many of your games you will go against people with cards you don’t have access to at levels above what you can get to without paying. The art style is amazing, but the balancing is lacking with there being clear standout cards that you just need to have and level to keep ranking up. The worst part is the cards that are best when leveled aren’t necessarily the cards that are best at level 1, which makes the pay to win exponentially worse as you rank up. It’s hard to have fun when you’re in silver and have to wait 7 minutes to queue into a tower level 20. I would love to be able to use another deck outside of the cards I first upgraded, but because the only priority is micro transactions I cannot. Also, the dev team deleted my last review too, classy. After playing almost a full season now, it’s even worse than I thought. It’s so hard to win trades if you don’t have all level 3 cards, like there are so many games that I could maybe win if one or two of my cards were higher level. It is a huge difference when it means clearing the board vs not, and there is nothing you can do about it except let them shove their microtransactions down your throat. Almost all of my games are against decks based around one of 3 cards, with trueshot post making up 70% of games. Of course, I don’t even have access to this card or the good counters. It’s obviously not easy to properly balance a card game like this, but at least put some effort in. I don’t understand how you expect a new player base if it’s forever set up to be a beat down on new players. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t let me log back in *2026-07-30, version 1.10.118* Game logged me out after 10 years of playing it and can’t log back into the account for whatever reason, gonna abandon it because this is tragic. I have 100s of hours on this game ### 1/5 — Too Many Cut Corners *2026-07-28, version 1.10.118* With a new phone and full bars I still will lose games from an infinite death load when shuffling occasionally. On top of that the game is set up to extremely harshly punish new players. I’m working with so few cards, and everyone I’m facing in bronze has a max level deck for the arena. Because nobody plays this game anymore the queue times are egregious, so I end up waiting 10 minutes just to playa a dude with an achievement for getting 100 cards to level 5. The only possible way to win underleveled is swarm rush, but I don’t like playing swarm rush so I just don’t get to play the game if I run into an overleveled freak. This game always had so much potential if the developers could just think it through a little more, it’s so heartbreaking. Also, winter is way too strong when your cards are low level, like unbearably PLEASE AT LEAST CONSIDER the balancing for when new players have low leveled cards. Everyone clearly knows winter is broken because I face winter decks at a 6:1 rate compared to any other deck. Playing against a winter deck is just winning the entire game, and getting unlucky with your card rotations once late game and instantly losing in one turn. I’m not saying it shouldn’t be a strategy, but it definitely shouldn’t be easily the best strategy. ### 1/5 — Decent *2026-07-24, version 1.10.118* Decent game but p2w. ### 1/5 — Same problem as every card game *2026-07-07, version 1.10.117* The moment you face human opponents, it’s entirely pay to win, super buffed cards that are all maxed out. Played for an hour and hit an absolute rock wall once I got to human opponents. So every time that ads comes up I have to close the game to proceed. No point in downloading people are just going to play 2 cards and deal 14 damage to your base or you’ll get put up against someone way higher level than you in the lowest rank and have zero chance of winning unless you have the chestiest of cards in your deck and tbh those decks just feel disgusting to use. Screw siren of the sees, visions of the grove, and all the other cards that are just way to op for 0 reason other than the devs have them in their deck. Coming from someone who’s played this game on and off for years, don’t waste your time and ESPECIALLY don’t waste your money. One other thing i would like to mention: most mobile games are pay to win so no surprise this one is too, but it just seems disgusting how much they throw it in your face. Update: game still sucks and just gets worse everytime i go back to see what’s new. Super balanced, easy to get into, strategic, and each match teaches me something new. ### 5/5 — I love this game *2026-08-07, version 1.10.119* First lemme talk about the positives, I love this take on a TCG game, I truly believe this is the best TCG game on the play store, Its got a lot of synergy between all of the cards making it feel like every card has its own purpose. I love the 4 playable clans (swarm is my favorite rn) and how different they feel without it feeling like a game of rock paper scissors. I have put the game down a few times throughout the several years that i've played it, but it always seems to bring me back. ### 5/5 — Bots in ranked *2026-05-22, version 1.10.116* This game is great. Amazing strategy game with a bit of card games and chess mixed in. The only issue I’m facing is being forced to play against bots in ranked. You can tell they’re bots because sometimes they make very dumb mistakes and there is no pause during their turns indicating that they don’t need to think or strategize at all even if they are losing. That being said, although they make mistakes, they are still cracked. Sometimes you’ll steamroll them, sometimes they steamroll you and so far I’ve found there’s no in between. In other words, there’s no back and forth or shifts of momentum. The players I have played against make the game very exciting, and sometimes the games go on for a pretty long time. I understand that some developers feel the need to add bots to keep the attention of some of the player base.
