Exporting my animatics as a video never works correctly — each export will randomly drop some of the boards, the codec that it uses isn’t compatible with many different apps (trying to send the animatic to myself over Discord to get it onto my pc never works), the undo button sometimes gets stuck and doesn’t work, duplicate button sometimes randomly does nothing, etc etc. Would love to give it 5 stars because it’s nice to be able to storyboard on my iPad but the number of bugs make it hard to really support, especially after paying for pro. Would happily switch to another better app ### 4/5 — Bought this, but still no upgrade *2025-08-21, version 2.20* The app is great, but I’m still not receiving the Pro version even though I already paid for it. Please help! ### 2/5 — Has Potential *2025-03-05, version 2.20* So sad that this lacks any professional features. You are unable to say how many cells you want on a PDF page. You can on have 2 or 1. Most times you want at least 6. You can’t choose the page orientation it is locked on portrait. And there is a bug which does even export your action text. So in the end unusable. Happy to change this review if you address these problems. ### 3/5 — No Rotation *2025-01-03, version 2.20* this app is OK. The only thing I have a problem with is that you cannot rotate the canvas around, which means you have to rotate your entire device which gets annoying, tedious, and injury to your own risk if you prolong this fiasco for too long, so please add some sort of rotation for the canvas. It’s so much easier to rotate with your fingers than your entire risk all the time. ### 4/5 — Really Good! A solid update for the ipad pro M2 models is greatly needed! ### 4/5 — Great but still a few issues. *2024-02-25, version 2.20* First I wanna start off with apologizing for the harshness of my previous reviews. I was a different person back then. I’m am really in love with this app now but there is some things that I’d like to suggest. For starters, I would love different pdf formats when exporting. Such as three or panels a page, and the ability to add an icon or logo to each page. The brush issues aren’t that much of a problem anymore but it still makes unintentional brush stroke sometimes, and the app still sometimes has a tendency to crash. I am a premium user, and I can’t wait to see how much the app can improve more over time. ### 3/5 — Decente *2024-02-04, version 2.20* Es bueno para lo que se propone, pero en cuanto a dibujar y lo comodo que puede llegar a ser falla bastante, Aplicaciones como flipaclip son comodas de usar para dibujar, aqui no siento lo mismo ### 2/5 — I may be new, but there’s some red flags *2024-01-15, version 2.20* OK so I recently downloaded this app and I’ve been noticing some things because you have to pay to do more stuff on the app and I feel like it’s very limited to the people who don’t want to pay Second off when I tried to do another Storyboard, it didn’t let me draw, and I try to go out and do it again but I couldn’t draw and it was very frustrating and difficult. I almost wanted to delete the app. And third when I was trying to do it, animation, it crashed, and I don’t like apps that crashed so that was kind of a red flag for me And I read some reviews on the app, and I kind of sort at the rest OK I give it a two out of five I was going to give it a one, but I wanted to be nice And even though I just downloaded the app and I can’t really comment a lot of things on it, it’s pretty OK but I feel like there needs to be more updates and you shouldn’t have to pay for most of the features because that’s unfair to people who cry on the budget or don’t want to pay for stuff And I really like animation it’s very fun for me. I like to animate off FlipaClip sometimes, but this app just needs more updates and like I feel like you need to start updating more of the apps so that more people could use it because I looked at the rate again it’s not really the best, so not trying to be rude or anything. There should be some things to fix About the app ### 2/5 — Basic but works well but *2023-12-27, version 2.20* Overall the program works well except for the fact that the paywall makes it unusable unless you buy the premium. And considering that I was just trying to use it for a small project it is not worth it. The paywall blocks you from having more than 15 slides in a project and you can’t have more than 2 projects. ### 2/5 — Nice, simple, broken *2023-10-26, version 2.20* I love the app for simplicity but it crashes a lot. Like, a lot. Which is a shame. Also, copying a panel you are currently working on sometimes only copies just a part of the panel. I really wish it didn’t have these bugs because I haven’t found a better storyboarding app for iPad and this one is kinda unusable. ### 3/5 — Paid for premium. Enjoying the app but slightly disappointed. *2023-10-25, version 2.20* I never really rewrite reviews, but art is kind of my thing and I feel strongly enough to leave a review. I initially wanted to leave a four star because, as simplistic as it is, I really do feel like this app has potential. But for what it is, it keeps crashing every so often which is, for lack of a better word, frustrating to deal with. Luckily I haven’t lost any work. It’s also frustrating because this is an issue you wouldn’t learn of unless you pay for it. I didn’t mind since it was only about 4.99 or so. Maybe there should be a beta version of the app that’s open until a fully developed version releases, although it doesn’t feel like updates are being made at all. I’m working from 2021 entry level ipad with enough storage so pardon me if I sound rude, but for as long as this app has been on the play store, I don’t see how an issue like this wouldn’t have been resolved by now. In good news, I like the app because of how simplistic it is. I wish more layers could be implemented or that layers could be swapped around. I also think the ability to cut something from one layer to add it to another would be great. In all, my only issues are the constant crashes with no crash report and the archaic layers system. ### 3/5 — Good but *2023-10-23, version 2.20* It’s an easy to use app, really straightforward. I love that! One thing that I would love to see is the ability to import a picture from my camera roll and be able to doodle over it. I would save a lot of time because I can use stills from the treatment I presented my clients and just focus on the description part of the story board instead of still having to draw them out. I hope this is an update you guys add in the near future because that would be a game changer ### 4/5 — The only app like it *2023-10-21, version 2.20* I just found this app and I’m truly shocked it’s the only one like it. I’m deeply thankful it exists, though it’s a bit buggy. When I duplicate a frame while drawing, not all the line work gets moved over. Can’t exactly explain what’s happening but it’s a frustrating bug, I need to go back to the view of all my frames and manually copy and paste to duplicate. Sometimes it crashes, which is no big deal, but not my favorite. Despite these things, still giving this app 4 stars because it provides the functionality I need 1) basic enough drawing tools 2) auto numbers frames 3) a place to type dialog and scene direction Every other app is either a robust digital art tool that can’t handle text in an easy way, or a storyboard app that only allows weird stock models. This is the only app like this for animators out there! This app crashes constantly on all the devices I use it on. On my latest project, I lost about half an hour of work on one panel seemingly for no reason. Strangely it didn't even crash when this happened, I just backed out of the panel to the gallery and noticed none of the stuff I drew was there. So so mad and sad.
