I have written the developer for assistance and have gotten no reply. Feels like support for this app may be gone. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere. I hope to see working on new update for my Atem. **Developer response:** Hi Mydepositproblem - Strata works fine with that switcher - Almost all problems connecting are due to incorrectly configured Wifi networking rather than any issue with the Strata app itself. The 4k switchers seem more twitchy on wifi compared to the HD models, and you will need to be doubly careful with choice of router. Customers report that Apple Airport routers seem to work best. ### 2/5 — Great when it works *2015-05-20* This app has so much potential. When it connects to the ATEM and I say when it connects, it is awesome. However, I have tried 2 different wireless routers and the older D-Link seemed to have a better intermittent work flow. With the brand new NetGear my iPad connects to the router however when I try to open this app, it just crashes. Needs stability!!! **Developer response:** Hi Jabish. So much better then connecting to a computer via VNC. So I think still need to have the laptop setup in case the app crash. I also wish to have a larger/longer tbar And there should also be Pro version for iPhone. I purchase the Pro, but if I want it on my iPhone, I still need to buy the non-pro version again ### 5/5 — Really, Really Amazing *2013-04-05* Works like a charm and it's great locally or over the internet. I'm currently using the app to operate an ATEM switcher over a thousand miles away. It's not perfect but neither is the $200K Sony switcher at work. So far it's been reliable, predictable and saved me thousands of dollars versus the hardware panels available for the ATEM switcher. The Pro version is great on an iPad. The Lite version makes the best use of an iPhone's smaller screen and the View version is great as a quick tally light when used with an iPhone or iPod and attached (gaffer taped) to the cameras and tape decks. In fact its not an advert, its simply trying to load the Strata Logo JPG, but the domain its using to get the URL has been deleted, so its showing an error and if you click you get to a domain holding page. This issue will be resolved quickly with a new release. Thanks again. ### 1/5 — Ads in paid software? *2023-03-12* I paid for this app. Why am I also getting ads? With the tight UI, I have more than once hit the ad, trying to hit a button. I will find another way to control my ATEM switcher. **Developer response:** Hello TomXP411. And not WiFi issue. *2021-01-18* Hello, please assist with setting up, as I purchased other software on this tablet and they work well after asking for similar credentials as what this one asks for. Namely IP address, some even ask for port number and password. Are there cases where this wouldn’t work even with strong WiFi? Thank you ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work anymore. *2020-08-30* I bought the STRATA pro app for $50 and it worked good for a while and a few months ago it stopped working. When I try to type in the IP address it doesn’t stay there, I’ve tried everything but there is no way to “save” the IP. If I click on settings or “return” on my keyboard it goes back blank once I click on settings again. Recently I bought STRATA Macro (another $50) thinking maybe this app will work fine but it has the same problem. If the developer team is going to look at the comment (or for the readers) I went from at 192.168 type of IP to a 10.1.10 type of IP address. I do not think that should have any difference for the app because all the other apps (even the free trial ones) work fine with this new IP address. I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that the development team looks into this problem and fixes it because I practically threw $50 down the drain (I will not say the same about the STRATA PRO app because I was able to use it for a while). It’s a great app, superb stability! ### 5/5 — Audio mic control does not work *2021-01-17* I purchased the pro version because I wanted to control my mic inputs on the atem mini pro. I can control the audio on cameras 3 and 4 only; I cannot control any other audio. The video works well; however, I purchased the app mainly for sound control. I sent a few emails and I am waiting to hear back on this. Wow! Mic control was just fixed; it works great now. That was a really quick fix, ### 5/5 — 5 stars- awesome! *2015-10-07* Strata Pro is an amazing software and worth every penny! Trustworthy and works awesome on every occasion I've tried. I was privileged to get to beta test it, and liked it so much, I bought it just to support further R&D- even thou we all received bonus versions. Flat out amazing. (And I am not just a saying that) Easy to use, fast to use, and just speeds up the live switching process by having touch screen access, and macros. My personal favorite is CG next. Mark thank you for adding this. This really makes lower thirds easy. Instead of 5 mouse clicks, it's all live in one touch. If you don't have Strata Pro yet, get it. It will just make live switching fast And easy for you. I have 3 Atem's and now wanna get three IPads so I can ditch my computers that go with each rig. So why spend $4000 on a mix console, when you. Can do it for under $400 (iPad plus Strata Pro) ### 5/5 — UPDATE - IF YOU USE AN APPLE AIRPORT WIFI, IT WORK GREAT *2015-09-22* Update from previous review. Changed the WiFi Router to an Apple Airport and the program works well. This is perfect for routing aux feeds. I hope they release an iPad Pro version ### 5/5 — Excellent app *2014-11-18* This works really well, if there are any problems with this device it is because of incorrect set up with the network that it is connected to. I took a long time to set this up and it pays dividends. The operation is instant, there appears to be no latency between iPad and mixer unit. ### 5/5 — Love it! *2014-09-24* I know it's the only option out there, but even if there was some competition, this would be the best. Super simple to connect and get going! Please keep updating and adding more controls. Keyer controls and studio camera color control are what come to mind. ### 5/5 — The App. Blackmagic Should Have Written!! *2014-08-09* This is by far the most user friendly application to control the ATEM switchers. I've used it with the TVS, 1M/E, 2M/E, as well as the new production 4k Production switchers. I typically have this app open next to a Mac with the software from Blackmagic running.... Never actually use the Mac... Touch control is where it's at!!! ### 5/5 — Excellent Control Interface for ATEM *2014-06-13* I have been looking far and wide for an iPad control interface for ATEM and was very excited to find the Strata Pro. It is quite stable and the Pro version allows you to control pretty much every parameter of the ATEM. Best of all though for me is the MIDI control. I was able to map controls from my MIDI software to Strata Pro. As a result it is possible to coordinate music and video switching in conjunction with live performance. This is an extraordinary capability for $50. Bravo to Mark Gilbert for taking the leading edge on wireless / MIDI control of the ATEM switcher. ### 5/5 — A very good control surface *2014-06-12* I do like this app very much. The buttons are very responsive and the layout is handy - better than BMD's software. I really like the macro setup and the aux windows. This will be a regular in my system setup. It is much better than dragging a laptop out to foh during interactive rehearsals. Although I would never use a wireless device as a show controller, this looks very reliable so far. Good job! ### 5/5 — Fantastic app *2014-01-13* This has been a truly fabulous app. Works incredibly well, and has no delay, truly responsive. Not a problem of the app, but you need to ensure you have a good network that everything is running on. Don't rely on cheap network switchers, if you do have problems I would lay odds it's down to this and not this app. We have used it to control both an Atem TVS and a 1 ME without any failures. We use it as the main control panel for the viz mix and have the mac open as a second device to line up media content or switch audio on/off.
