Completely different. No opportunity for strategy, random dicing eliminates pre planning. No start options like the first game. Random start order can hobble you at the first turn. I’d give fewer stars, but I am still trying to figure it out. ### 1/5 — Bizarre Probabilities *2026-07-14* I love Strategery, so I downloaded this next generation without hesitation. Trouble is, I don’t get it. Whenever I have a full strength territory and attack a neighbor, even a lower strength one, I lose all my strength. Every time. It’s maddening. I simply cannot play when it seems broken like this. I am a MS Stats educated software developer, it just doesn’t make sense why it functions like it does. ### 3/5 — A visual glow up - but less strategy allowed. *2026-05-14* Thank you for picking up from the original Strategery. I’m grateful to be able to fullscreen this app properly but this version has been sadly over-simplified. I miss having control over where to reinforce my territory. It’s a shame there is no sound effects. Also, I find the standard speed to be too fast to follow what actually happened in each battle.
