This is a comprehensive training resource on strategy, consulting, organizational politics, career management, thinking/problem-solving and engagement management. I’ve increased my rating to five stars to reflect the confidence that such active customer engagement inspires. That said, I have another note on the video playback UX: I would love to see a button that allows mobile users to rewind 10 seconds. It’s currently very difficult to try to rewind a few seconds to review a key phrase, for example. I find myself going through minutes of footage to find the exact spot with some regularity, an issue that would be solved by a “rewind 10 seconds” button. EDIT: The “skip” buttons on either side of the play button actually just skip 10 seconds forward or backward, whoops. Some have a coach or teacher whose guidance changes the trajectory of their career. And some have a favorite artist whose work inspires them to approach life with a renewed sense of purpose and appreciation. Through this app, I feel that I have all three combined in Michael. It took me years to fully embrace the FC message, but now (as an FC Insider) I am more confident and excited about my career than I have been at any point in my adult life. The only downside of downloading is the videos takes a lot of space on my phone. The ability to now download content offline via the new app is a godsend before boarding long flights. Moreover, preparing for consulting case interviews has become a cottage industry. However, what distinguishes Firmsconsulting is that the organization is unique in its values and experience pedigree. All material is developed by ex-senior partners of elite consulting firms (e.g. BCG and McKinsey) – the same firms that CEOs of global organizations and highest levels of government turn to in crisis (i.e. Obama administration turned to BCG to turnaround General Motors in 2009). What this tool allows is for you to build the same breadth and depth of skillsets that consulting firms engrain in the members of their firms. While at the same time, hearing about one of the partner’s experiences of growing within his firm gives you excellent career advice regardless if you work at a consulting firm, a startup, or a large conglomerate. For what exactly? There is no trailer or anything! If we learned anything about strategy, we probably know that this is the worst strategy. It is impossible to explain all the good from FirmsConsulting in a short review. While I helped start, grow, and sell organizations in commercial and government environments, I took approaches that a lot of people take. But I’m impressed at novel approaches that people don’t teach directly in certain academic programs or even corporate programs. FirmsConsulting is helping people and organizations improve upside and curtail certain downsides. By taking some of their approaches, people Further, the team gives advice that can help people with and without degrees. Further, There is a lot of actionable advice. I’m not a high flying consultant with an Ivy League degree; I’m a humble immigrant kid who went to a state school and work as a scientist. I was so impressed with their other materials (like their books and emails) that I took the leap to an annual subscription. I’ve been working through the 21 day Masterplan program and it has really transformed the way I think about my life and what is possible. Firms Consulting is unique in that they not only provide training on tactics, but also on philosophy and how to think. This is incredibly valuable and I feel like I have grown so much, both professionally and personally, in the short time I’ve been learning from their programs. I’m excited for many more months of growth ahead! I also appreciate their unwavering commitment to ethics. That deeply resonated with me and I would recommend their training for this reason alone. They display their ethics not only in how they teach you to think, but also in creating such a high quality product and delivering far beyond the value I expected.
