## What is Strawbie?

Strawbie
Strawbie is a focus companion designed to help you study, find your flow, and make getting things done feel fun and rewarding.
Strawbie brings together personalized guidance, a customizable Pomodoro timer, a daily task list, chill music, voice and text chat, streaks, rewards, and collectibles in one cozy study space, on iPhone, iPad, and Apple silicon Macs.

FREE AFTER YOUR FIRST SUBSCRIPTION
Getting started requires a subscription. If you later cancel, Strawbie Radio (with ad breaks) and the focus timer stay free.

Strawbie Radio
Strawbie's original ambient music to study, focus, chill, or wind down to. Free listeners hear a short ad break every few songs.

Focus Timer + Today's Flow
Create a daily task list and use a customizable Pomodoro-style focus timer to move through focused sessions and breaks at your own pace.

WITH A SUBSCRIPTION
Strawbie offers an auto-renewable subscription with a 3-day free trial, followed by the selected monthly or yearly plan.

Talk to Strawbie
Have real-time voice conversations or text chat with Strawbie while you study. Ask for homework help, upload photos, organize what you need to do, or talk hands-free while you work. On iPhone, an active voice conversation can appear in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen.

A companion who remembers
Strawbie can remember useful context between conversations, including things you're working on and preferences you've shared. Everything Strawbie remembers is viewable and deletable in Settings.

Strawbie Rewards
Earn Strawberries by finishing tasks, completing focus sessions, and keeping your daily streak, up to the daily maximum, plus a bonus at streak milestones. Spend them on charms, collectibles, rooms, and Featured Drops. On iPhone, eligible charms appear in the Dynamic Island, and everything you own lives in your Inventory.

Ad-free Strawbie Radio
Subscribers can listen to Strawbie Radio without ad breaks.

GETTING IN
An account is required. Users can sign in with Apple, Google, or email and password.
Sign in with Apple is the fastest path and is automatically verified. A brand-new email/password account must confirm its email address before AI features unlock during the trial.

SAFETY
Strawbie has a minimum age of 13, enforced through an age gate at signup.
Strawbie is an AI character, not a real person.
Every conversation, text or voice, carries Strawbie's safety rules: no sexual content, and never any encouragement of self-harm. Crisis detection runs in the app, for both voice and text, and does not depend on the AI. When it triggers, Strawbie shows crisis resources for your region with one-tap call and text.
Every Strawbie message can also be reported in-app.
Strawbie is an AI focus companion, not a therapist, doctor, or crisis service, and companion chatbots may not be suitable for some minors.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.2.1 — 2026-10-01

Fixes
- Fixed a crash that could happen during setup.
- On iPad and Mac, the note shown during setup to users aged 13–17 now fits on screen.
- On Mac, Strawbie Radio and room music keep playing after a voice call.

### 2.2.0 — 2026-09-30

Strawbie is now on iPad, and on Apple silicon Macs. Same account, same subscription.

Streaks, reworked
- A day counts when you finish a task or complete a focus session.
- The day turns over at 4am, so studying past midnight still counts for that day.
- See your streak, your best and this week on the Rewards page, and on the My List widget on iPhone and iPad.

Milestones
- Day 7, 30, 100 and 365 bring a celebration card you can share, with bonus Strawberries for subscribers.
- Every milestone badge is kept in your Inventory.

A new Featured Drop
- Strawberry Poof and Mini-Bonsai. Drops no longer sell out: past drop items stay available in Collectibles.

Also new: a language menu on the welcome screen, and fixes throughout.

### 2.1.2 — 2026-09-19

Strawbie can go hands-free.

Ask her to start your focus timer, put on Strawbie Radio, or check something off your list — just say it out loud while you're talking, and she'll do it. No reaching for your phone mid-study.

Also in this update:
• A brighter little celebration when you finish a task
• Prettier emoji on your list
• A quicker back-and-forth when you're talking to her

### 2.1.1 — 2026-09-17

Faster, steadier chat. Typed messages now reach Strawbie more reliably, and a reply can no longer go missing when voice is busy.

Clearer messages when something goes wrong, so you know whether to wait a moment or check your connection.

Fixes for restoring purchases and for what Strawbie remembers about you.

### 2.1 — 2026-09-16

No release notes.
