Even being free it’s still not worth the hassle. Despite having a Verizon network and using a Verizon streaming device it still would not connect to the Internet. I’ve had to call support at least six times now and each time had to explain my issue. Nobody can figure out why this device will not connect to my Internet. I work from home so clearly my network is fine. Either teach your agents how to support this device or provide a better device. **Developer response:** We appreciate your feedback. Thank you. ### 1/5 — Awful ! *2022-01-22, version 3.0* I was sent the Stream TV box & encouraged to try the app with my service. It would not hook up. Your supposed to just connect with your verizon ID & password. It would only say incorrect even though I use the same creds for fios app & via browser. Chatted support, called support & no one one could help. Spent hours & just gave up. **Developer response:** We appreciate your feedback. Thank you. ### 1/5 — Can’t sign in *2021-10-20, version 2.5* It won’t let you sign in. Every time I try to sign in it tells me I have to wait 24 hours to try again. I’m able to use the same login email and password to log into the website with no issues. ### 1/5 — Absolutely pointless app *2021-08-18, version 2.0* App for streaming service. I received a stream tv box and remote after switching to Verizon Fios. That quit working within 3 months. I downloaded the app to see if I could view shows that way as a workaround and all I see on the app is that I can view something on YouTube tv. Only gives you acces to Verizon’s pay services. **Developer response:** Hello, just wanted to clarify a few things. The Stream TV app is the companion app for the Stream TV box. Where you can have access to your purchases and other Stream TV features. The set top box does have the Play Store where you can definitely download and use Netflix, Hulu and YouTube and other apps available. If you need any help, please reach out via the support page. Thanks. ### 1/5 — Dumb, dumb, dumb *2021-02-17, version 1.1.1* Silly me thought they finally had an app to stream Fios content that was a bit better than Fios TV. I pay a ton of $$ for Fios and I just want to stream what I pay for to a TV in my house without cable nearby. Tried Fios TV over AirPlay but most content is locked from allowing this. I don’t want to pay for another wireless cable box. This is a Roku knock off and the only advantage is that they refuse to support an app on Roku because that would be good for the customer and bad for them. I’m ticked off and will look into cord cutting alternatives. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t seem to let you stream TV *2020-12-29, version 1.0* Based on the app’s name, I assumed I’d be able to watch TV on the go. Nope. It is some weird aggregation of other streaming services, but does not let you stream TV in any normal sense of the word. Worthless app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Wrong email on my account *2024-09-29* 2 hours on the phone, transferred multiple times, went to 3 store locations, horrible employee service at the Airport Road location in Warwick RI and no one is able to fix the email address showing on the Stream TV app. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2024-08-30* Again not sure why I expected anything less. When my system was upgraded to Stream TV, the FIOS TV app started working so I was hoping this would take its place, but it’s pretty much useless and has basically zero integration into my stream Tv at home ### 1/5 — Worthless *2024-07-29* All it does is wants you to download other app to watch movies. Will not load MAX if you subscribe through Amazon. And their streaming app is not that great either. Crashes constantly. Been a mobile customer over 25 years - no complaints, but this streaming thing is garbage. ### 1/5 — How not to design an app *2024-06-14* This app is ridiculously confusing. More to the point, it just plain does not work. I was hoping for a Verison app that would allow me to view my Fios TV on my computer. It doesn’t. It gives me a “guide” to list channels, but wont let me watch any. It asks me if I want to add HD for a channel but gives me no way to say yes or no. It is worthless. ### 1/5 — DON’T USE THIS APP *2024-03-13* This “app” is trash. I have to unplug my steaming stick every time I turn the TV on due to constant error messages. The amount of money you spend on Verizon and Comcast, you should be confident that the product in return would be seamless and enjoyable…it’s the opposite. I’d rather have my 6 year old draw me pictures of my favorite shows while he hums the theme music. If you check the dates on some of these reviews, this has been an issue since the app has been around. Verizon doesn’t care, they’re still making plenty of money on dummies like us who are backed into a corner with only 2 choices of major cable providers. ### 1/5 — I wanted streaming, this doesn’t do it *2023-10-06* I wanted to be able to stream my Verizon Fios TV service to my mobile devices. I was talked into this by a Verizon agent. He said, “we’ll send you a new router and you’ll be able to stream anywhere.” This does not do it. ### 1/5 — this stinks *2023-06-18* Cant sign in on Apple Computer. ### 1/5 — I don’t understand the point of this app *2023-06-10* This app and the streamTV box doesn’t do anything special or unique to any Verizon service and yet you have to sign in using your Verizon account. This is just another Android TV box. Somehow the Verizon aspect of this service (if you can call it a service) makes it worse. It logs me out repeatedly and the connection is terrible ### 1/5 — Verizon has misrepresented this app. *2023-04-15* Downloaded this app because the app description and a Verizon sales representative said it would allow me to watch my tv programs when I’m away from home. Well I’m away from home and can’t watch channels that I watch at home. It tells me I can only watch that channel from my home router. How is that mobile? Verizon wants customer loyalty but deceives the customer via false statements. I can see why various streaming Apps like YouTube TV are becoming more popular and I am definitely leaning that way. Verizon if you want customer loyalty, deliver what you claim to deliver. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2023-02-16, version 3.4* Hard to imagine how bad this is. Logs me as being remote when I’m home! In the past, I have changed viewing locations and begin to continue to view my recording on. My iPad. Now, I need to remember my TV status as it now starts at the beginning! That makes it necessary to fast forward to the time location. ### 3/5 — Not too shabby… *2021-06-17, version 2.0* I just got the device (box) as part of a promo- that is where I use Stream TV. I have one room with a tv connected to an Apple TV box which I have had for years now. I have my main TV connected to Stream TV. My only true complaint is that mirror casting is not that stable from my iPhone; yet, it’s seamless to AirPlay to my Apple TV. But, I have found that using the browser is a great workaround for me as I can access same sources online (using Stream TV/Google web browser app) that I would normally AirPlay from my iPhone. The App worked GREAT on my iPad but for some unknown reason they screwed up the App and now I can't watch live TV shows on the App. I have to go through Safari now. There are much better plans that permit streaming but not streaming fios tv. I’m so glad if I subscribe to YouTube TV, I can use a totally different app to stream it but what about the people who are the entire reason Verizon’s even in the home services game.....ahhhhhhhh, Fios?????? The service they own.....this whole thing makes zero sense. We need an app that can be used and is available on streaming devices OTHER THAN PHONES....Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, etc.! Until that happens, people with a choice are going to give Verizon a second guess every time!
