But after that date, one of its core features seems to have disappeared. I’m unable to use the Pay feature to request an advance on my salary which was sometimes lifesaving. I asked a colleague who has the android version of this app, and theirs doesn’t seem to have changed. I contacted support team on July 9 through the app and, by July 12 I still hadn’t received a response despite submitting all the required documents. I also emailed the complaints team, but they simply send me an automatic email to describe the incident again and no one came ever to that email as well. I urgently need a statement with my correct address for my UK visa application, and this delay has caused me a lot of stress. I’ve also had previous issues accessing my own money during an emergency. I’ve been left without my pay because of an issue with my bank details, despite my correct details now being provided and my employer confirming that they have been sent over to Stream. I’ve tried contacting Stream multiple times, but instead of being able to speak to an actual person who can resolve the issue, I’m repeatedly directed to emails/tickets and left waiting for responses. I already have an existing ticket, yet I keep getting nowhere. This is my salary, not a minor inconvenience. Being left without access to money I’m owed, with no clear timeframe for when the issue will actually be resolved, is extremely stressful and completely unacceptable. The communication has been poor, the support process is frustrating, and I feel like I’m having to chase constantly just to get an explanation about where my money is. I would strongly recommend improving the customer support system and, most importantly, giving customers a way to speak to a real person when there is an urgent payment issue. ### 1/5 — Ethically questionable app *2026-08-11, version 34.29.0* It’s really annoying, I have to use this app for a temporary part time job I got, but today when I tried to open the app to check my earnings it wouldn’t let me go to the homepage, it was encouraging me to start a savings account. The only way to bypass this was to slide the amount I wanted to “save” to £0 - there was no obvious skip option on the screen. I just think this outrageous, I get it’s supposedly trying to promote good financial management but I have my own savings account, investment etc. and I don’t need this app to forcibly promote these products when I literally just want to check my earnings. Is this even allowed?! I’m tempted to report it, who knows where though. I also think the concept of the early payday thing which they charge for is terrible and ethically questionable, this does NOT promote good management of finances. Avoid using this app if you can and if you can’t like me, then please don’t get sucked into the early payday thing. ### 1/5 — Logs you out all of the time *2026-08-09, version 34.29.0* App is as good as any other app of this style.
