Streamu — The content your kids love, approved by you. YouTube is full of brilliant content for children. It's also full of everything else. Streamu lets you whitelist the YouTube channels you trust and blocks everything else by default. No recommendations, no autoplay, no endless scroll — just the channels you've approved. Setup takes minutes. Install Streamu on your phone, add profiles for your kids, and approve the YouTube channels you trust. That's it. When they want to watch, just switch over to kids mode. With up to four kids' profiles, you can curate a separate collection for each — matched to their age and what they actually love. Streamu works on any screen your kids watch. Simply install the app on the devices they use and switch to kids mode. That's it. Made for parents. Whitelist, don't filter — Hundreds of hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute. No filter can watch it all. Streamu doesn't try — nothing reaches your child unless you approved it first. Block the algorithm — No surprises, no shady recommendations, no algorithmic creep. There's no automated pathway beyond the collection you've built. One collection per child — Up to four profiles per family, each curated independently. The four-year-old's dinosaurs stay out of the ten-year-old's coding tutorials. Manage it all from your own phone — Parent mode lives in the same app. Approve a channel on your phone and it appears in your child's collection. Lock devices to kids mode — A shared family tablet stays in kids mode; a personal device stays locked to one child's profile. Nobody gets back into parent mode without your PIN. Made for kids. A calm, simple collection — No search bar, no "up next", no rabbit holes. Whatever your child is into — dinosaurs, drawing, coding, Lego — their collection is built around it. Mindful watching — Autoplay is off by default, so one video doesn't roll into the next. Your child watches what they meant to watch, then comes up for air. Easy for even the youngest viewers — With no route into the wider YouTube ecosystem, little ones can explore their collection safely on their own. Why Streamu? Content filters ask you to trust that nothing slipped through. A whitelist means there's nothing to slip through — if you didn't approve it, it isn't there. One subscription covers the whole family: up to four kids' profiles, unlimited channels, unlimited videos, and up to 8 devices. The content your kids love, approved by you. Try it free for 14 days. No card required. ## Key features - Whitelist YouTube channels - Block algorithmic recommendations - Disable autoplay - Create multiple child profiles - Curate safe screen time ## Pricing and in-app purchases Base price: Free. **Subscriptions** | Subscription | Price | Period | | --- | --- | --- | | Monthly | $9.99 | per month | | Annual | $59.99 | per year | | Streamu Monthly Pass | $5.99 | per month | | Streamu Monthly Pass | $4.99 | per month | | Streamu Annual Pass | $59.99 | per year | | Streamu Annual Pass | $29.99 | per year | | Monthly | $9.99 | per month | **One-time purchases** | Purchase | Price | Type | | --- | --- | --- | | Streamu Lifetime Pass | $119.99 | one-time | ## Is Streamu safe? Please email us directly to support@streamu.app with the issues you experienced. Please include the email address you signed up so we can confirm your account and give you an extended trial period. ### 1/5 — Poor customer service *2026-10-04* I bought this app for a year which was a huge mistake because then I realized you have to log in every time and put a code in. That wouldn’t be bad if the app actually worked. I entered all the YouTube channels I wanted my son to watch. He would click on them and it would state they have 300+ videos but only 5 would be up. I tried to figure it out on my own but couldn’t. So I contacted customer service 3 different times asking for help with no response at all. So on to the next to see what I can figure out. I thought this would be the answer but it was a huge fail with no help from customer service. I’m just mad at all the money I wasted. **Developer response:** Hi Dnstein83 - I'm really sorry you've had such bad experience. Unfortunately, this has only now come to my attention. I have emailed you directly to explain and hopefully resolve any issues further issues you are having. It is important to me that all our customers have a great experience using Streamu and apologise your initial support requests and this review didn't get through to me earlier. ### 5/5 — I can start allowing YouTube again! *2026-06-25* This app is so easy to use for both myself and my daughter. I love that I can still allow her to watch educational content without worrying about high stimulation content being suggested to watch next. Also love that the trial doesn’t involve a credit card, I often don’t take up free trials due to worry of being sucked in if I decide not to continue my membership. However, this is a membership I will certainly continue to subscribe to. ### 5/5 — Game Changer *2026-06-15* Love the fact that I can choose what my kids see on youtube and not the algorithm. Thank you. ## Frequently asked questions about Streamu ### What is Streamu? Streamu is a parental control app designed to create a safe YouTube environment for children.
