Can’t take a chance. Suddenly i cant even get the app started before it crashes ### 2/5 — Missing features, has bugs *2025-09-03, version 5.12.0* The app is a huge power drain on your battery. If a host shares a screen you cannot see if within the app. It lacks the ability to use alternate cameras like you can when using the web version. For some reason it doesn’t allow you to restream from the app if the host has the correct plan. It would be nice if they integrate when you mute your AirPods it mutes within the app. App also needs to default to privacy. It should default to muted mic and avatar. Lastly, if you have the app open too long the phone gets hot and the app crashes. ### 2/5 — Problem *2025-07-16, version 5.11.0* I go in StreamYard from my iPad, there is no setting there. I trying to turn mirror off.. For your information I did turn off from my iPad setting, not StreamYard setting. So I focus on StreamYard mirror, there’s no setting there. That’s a huge problem. I tried to click feedback but it won’t let me go though, big problem! After you copy and paste the link from fb messenger, it won’t allow you to do it a second time. Very frustrating. I use StreamYard for my church services with multiple iPhones and a Scarlet FocusRite. Would be nice to zoom the camera from the dashboard. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work!! *2026-05-24, version 5.13.3* Downloaded the App but it won’t open!! ### 1/5 — Do Not Trust *2026-05-15, version 5.13.3* I believe this app is not valid and not directly linked to StreamYard. This could potentially be a limb of a social engineering scam that involves NOVA malware which is designed to drain all your information and money, especially crypto wallets. Be very cautious with this and only utilize StreamYard directly from their official website. Do not inherently trust these positive reviews, as they are likely bots that have been deployed to make it look legitimate. Stay safe out there, and take it from a web3 builder that you need to handle cold-approaches from people who “want you on their podcast” and telling you to download things. Most of you sincerely have not a single clue how sophisticated the mainstream scams are about to get. If you think email scams are tricky to navigate, you have no clue what’s coming in the future. Lock EVERYTHING down with 2FA and safely-stored passkeys, and refrain from cold-approaches from fraudulent podcast platforms that appear to be legitimate. Social engineering is becoming entirely more aggressive, and you need to act with vigilance. ### 1/5 — iPad app needs fixing *2026-04-25, version 5.13.3* The iPad app crashes every time you open it after the update ### 1/5 — Streamyard Guest *2025-11-29* I'm not satisfied with this apps ### 1/5 — Beta App *2025-01-20, version 5.11.0* Still a beta application, not ready for prime time. A test guest encountered too may obstacles to getting the interview started, so we abandoned this and just did a straight phone interview over Facetime. Users should be able to click the link and connect in 10 seconds or less. While you can do audio-only interviews they don’t make it easy to shut down the default video interface. Unworkable pricing model for the typcial podcaster with limited revenue. ### 1/5 — Joining bug *2025-01-18, version 5.11.0* I tried joining other live streams but it’s still not letting me in and they sound lagging when I just came in ### 1/5 — Do not download *2024-10-19, version 5.11.0* Safari on my iPad doesn’t work / and the app keeps freezing you might as well FaceTime or use zoom ### 1/5 — Never works on apple iPads *2024-05-02, version 5.8.0* I have a podcast and have bought all new equipment to include the newest $1500 iPad and anytime I try to use Streamyard whether on the app or on browser, it glitches out and reloads every 30 seconds. I contacted the Streamyard support team and they said it is just a bug for iPads and they do not have a fix for it. I have tried everything under the sun with no fixes. Streamyard needs to get this bug fixed, and don’t buy equipment before testing streamyard on it. Aside from that it is a great service, just not for all people I guess ### 1/5 — Horrible App *2024-04-30, version 5.8.0* The app will not allow you to sign in to communicate with the chat this app also breaks up during your session also I wouldn’t recommend this app to a dead man they need to take it down and fix it or just get rid of it all together good luck with this piece of junk app ### 1/5 — When does Apple iOS/safari get to use all features? *2024-01-30, version 4.4* Unfortunately, for me, all of the interviews I’ve been asked to do use streamyard. It seems popular. But when I discovered that the critical options of touch up Appearance and custom background—so useful in the zoom groups I run —are not supported for iOS/safari—I cancelled the interviews. Yes, you say I should just load a supported browser into my iPad Pro 6th Gen but Google and Apple are already in a cat fight over territory, so adding a third player, as I’ve read, is not a real solution. A solution is to roll out equivalent compatibility for safari. And really soon would be nice, too. I’m looking forward to future updates, but premium hosting prices are a real barrier—especially for Aussie streamers dealing with the rising cost of living. Was easy for the guest to download and enter the studio. You’d think it’d be hard to fit everything in the app on your phone but it really was intuitive and still easy for guest to navigate.
