But it randomly (and without warning) logs me out several times a week. I’m late to see/respond to new listings because of it. Incorrect photos, same photos being used for multiple listings AND BEWARE OF THE FREE MONTHS, your rent will be raised by an INSANE amount the next year. Unless you only want one year. And also beware of these new “luxury” SMALL apartments for insanely high rent. NY will never recover this way. We need to support the good landlords, not the greedy ones! I’ve lived here 25 years and this is not how we operated. We need this amazing city to be affordable and the melting pot and the unique experiences you’ll have to make it the city it’s always meant to be!! I am also tired of the system constantly recommending properties to me in areas where I haven't even been looking. Furthermore—given that this is a home rental site—I am frustrated with a system that turns a blind eye to people trying to rent out a single room as if it were an entire house. Finally, I am annoyed that they never inform me of the outcome when I do file a complaint. ### 1/5 — No response forum *2025-10-10, version 14.54.0* StreetEasy is anything but easy. You see apartments you like and ask to view and get no response. This site doesn’t function and must serve some other purpose. Not very good. ### 1/5 — WARNING!!!!!! Please don’t use any of these apps. ### 1/5 — Waste of everyone’s time *2025-08-16, version 14.49.0* There is apparently no standard for a listing to be published. Photos that are not of the actual unit? No problem. No square footage provided? No problem. This defeats the whole purpose of having filters. Any search is an absolute pain as it is littered with “featured” and “sponsored” irrelevant listings that have nothing to do with my search. If you want to exclude a section of a neighborhood in your search, well sorry you’re out of luck. This app cosplays as helping renters find something, but the actual, unique purpose it has is help lying landlords and awful management companies misrepresent what they actually have to offer. ### 1/5 — Can only search for sales not rentals *2025-07-03, version 14.47.0* Not sure why this is called a rental app. ### 1/5 — Can’t log in *2023-05-29, version 13.23.0* Every time I try and log in I get a message that says “The email or password previously entered has changed.” Then I go and reset the password and I still get the same issue when trying to log in. ### 1/5 — Won’t let me log into my account *2023-04-24, version 13.21.0* I’ve tried logging and it says that I had changed my password recently, so then I actually change the password and try to log in again and it shows the same error message. ### 1/5 — Waste *2023-02-08, version 13.17.0* Everyday I message 10 listings a day at least that always states “just listed” next day I receive message that says apartment has been rented or it’s in contract. I don’t understand this app. Although it’s illegal to discriminate against voucher applicants they still do. This company should require every listing to accept vouchers or not post at all and to update their listings daily. I have a 7 month old and wasting time to travel 2hrs via public transportation lifting a stroller up and down flights of stairs to only view an apartment just to be told vouchers are not accepted or be emailed some ridiculous thing about paying half month rent for “good faith hold” while application is being reviewed is insane. Non of these apps are useful for people not making over 60k, especially you have a housing voucher. Don’t know what’s the purpose. ### 1/5 — Don’t give them your email *2022-01-12, version 13.1.0* They will spam you with emails that you can’t unsubscribe even after selecting every single unsub option on their website To make matters worse they require you to contact support to delete your account. No button or self initiated fashion.
