## What is Streets?

Walk every street in your city and watch your map fill up as you explore.

Streets is a walking tracker built for people who want to explore more, discover new neighborhoods, and see exactly which streets they’ve already walked and which ones are still waiting.

Every walk adds to your personal city map. Streets highlights the roads and streets you’ve covered, tracks your progress, and turns everyday walking into a simple challenge: how much of your city can you complete?

Explore Every Street

See your explored and unvisited streets directly on the map. Choose a new area, find streets you haven’t walked yet, and gradually complete more of your city.

Whether you’re exploring your neighborhood, discovering a new city, or trying to walk every street, Streets gives you a clear sense of progress every time you go outside.

Track Your Walks with GPS

Start a walk and Streets records your route using GPS. See where you went, how far you traveled, and how your route contributed to your city progress.

Use Streets to:

• Track walks, runs, and bike rides
• Record distance, duration, pace, steps, and calories
• View your route on the map
• Keep a history of your activities
• See which streets you’ve already explored
• Find streets and areas you haven’t visited yet

Step Counter and Walking Tracker

Streets includes a built-in pedometer and step counter, so you can track your steps alongside your GPS routes.

Monitor your walking distance, activity, and progress while every new route helps build a more complete map of where you’ve been.

Plan New Walking Routes

Use the route planner to create custom walking routes and explore parts of your city you haven’t covered yet.

Plan a walk through unfamiliar streets, save your route, and turn your next outing into another step toward completing your city.

Make Walking More Interesting

Streets is more than a step counter or GPS tracker.

Instead of walking the same routes again and again, you always have somewhere new to go. Unvisited streets become your next destination, your city becomes the challenge, and every walk moves your progress forward.

Walk more. Explore more. Complete your map.

Download Streets and start exploring every street in your city.

### 1/5 — Genuinely Disappointed

*2026-07-15*

This app worked the first two times I used it. I was so excited because I set a goal to walk every street in NYC and this app seemed to do just that. However, one day it just stopped working on me, and never worked again. It did not highlight my walk in red, and the app just crashed and saved none of my progress. I paid $30 for a membership for a year, which I will be disputing. I reached out to the app developer several times- got no response.

This app had potential, but it’s really just garbage lol.

**Developer response:** We’re really sorry about both the lost walking progress and the fact that you didn’t receive a response from us. That’s not the experience we want anyone to have, especially after purchasing a yearly membership.

Since then, we’ve made major reliability improvements that address the issues you described. Walks are now saved continuously, progress is preserved if the app is interrupted, and your route is restored when you return to or relaunch the app.

Please update to the latest version. If you’re willing to give Streets another try, contact us through Profile → Feedback and mention your NYC App Store review so we can personally follow up.

Thank you for giving Streets a chance and for taking the time to report this.

### 5/5 — So good and SO FRUSTRATING

*2026-05-09*

The program is fun. However if you swipe it closed by mistake you loose your entire days walking. I am ready to delete the app because I keep losing data. Please Developer- make is autosave or require a confirm before you swipe closed. I am so sad and frustrated I lost so much data from my DC visit.

**Developer response:** We’re very sorry you lost your walking data, especially during your DC visit. We understand how frustrating that must have been.

We’ve fixed this issue in the latest version of Streets. Active walks are now saved automatically, so accidentally closing the app should no longer cause you to lose your progress.

Please update to the latest version, and if you experience any issues, contact us through Settings → Feedback. Thank you for reporting this and helping us make Streets better.

### 5/5 — Great Walking App

*2025-04-10*

Great walking app! Keeps better stats then my smart watch does. Thank you for this awesome app.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 4.7.29 — 2026-09-08

Every walk tells a story, and now your routes can tell a much better one. Track more than just where you went, see your city progress more clearly, and keep exploring every street whether you’re walking, running, cycling, or mixing it up along the way. We’ve also made the experience smoother and more reliable, because discovering a new street is exciting enough without wondering whether the map loaded properly.

Here’s what’s new:

- Switch between Walk, Run, Bike, and Vehicle during the same GPS route.
- Set goals for streets, distance, steps, calories, or time and celebrate when you reach them.
- Track steps and cadence during walks and runs for a richer activity history.
- Enjoy a redesigned Route History with clearer stats, activity segments, and easier-to-read route details.
- Get more reliable city and street loading, better background progress updates, and plenty of fixes and performance improvements.

### 4.7.28 — 2026-08-20

This update makes city exploration more global, more polished, and easier to follow wherever your next walk takes you. With expanded localisation, smarter route and progress screens, and plenty of small fixes, your walk tracker is now a little better prepared for taking over the world one street at a time.

Here’s what’s new:

- The app is now localised for 82 languages, with RTL support and regional formatting for numbers, distances, durations, and units.
- We redesigned the route completion screen, improved city progress, and made completed walk results available again from your history.
- Cities and custom areas can now be archived, and their street progress can be reset whenever you want a fresh start.
- Remaining streets are easier to browse and sort, and free users can now see nearby unexplored streets.
- Onboarding, PRO screens, and purchases have been improved, including the return of the Lifetime PRO option.
- We also refined walking routes and maps, removed unwanted ferry suggestions and accidental map tilting, improved location-marker visibility, and fixed several crashes and UI issues.

### 4.7.27 — 2026-08-11

This is one of our biggest updates in a while, focused on making city exploration easier, clearer, and more reliable. We improved everything from onboarding and route tracking to city progress, remaining streets, PRO, localization, and the way your completed walks are presented. The goal is simple: spend less time figuring out the app and more time discovering new streets. And because getting lost can be part of the adventure, losing a recorded walk definitely should not be.

We also polished the experience across different screen sizes and languages, improved stability, and made it easier to understand exactly how much of your city you have explored.

Here’s what’s new:

- A redesigned route result screen with clearer stats and a compact view of newly discovered streets.
- Route results can now be opened again directly from your history.
- You can expand the complete list of new streets discovered during a walk.
- City progress has been redesigned to make completed streets, remaining streets, and overall completion easier to understand.
- The Progress Map entry point is clearer and easier to discover.
- Cities and custom areas can now be archived instead of cluttering your active list.
- Archived cities and areas can be viewed separately whenever you need them again.
- You can now reset progress for individual cities and areas.
- Remaining streets are easier to browse with redesigned, scrollable tabs.
- On smaller screens, street counters automatically use a more compact title so important information always fits.
- Free users can now see nearby unvisited streets to help decide where to walk next.
- Remaining streets are sorted more accurately by distance.
- Missed streets have a clearer visual style on the map.
- The current location marker now stays visible above route lines.
- The route pause screen has been redesigned to make resuming or finishing a walk clearer.
- Route building now avoids ferry crossings.
- Accidental map tilting by gesture has been disabled.
- Onboarding has been simplified and now focuses more clearly on walking every street and starting your first route.
- The initial map experience has been improved, including smarter region loading before location permission is requested.
- We removed the request for permanent location access.
- The city progress experience is now available earlier, so new users can understand their walking map progress sooner.
- PRO screens and offers have been redesigned around city exploration, remaining streets, route planning, and completing your city.
- Lifetime PRO is now available as a one-time purchase.
- PRO entry points are more consistent across the app and no longer appear for users who already have access.
- The app can now be manually switched between supported languages.
- Full German, Spanish, French, and Portuguese (Brazil) localizations have been added.
- English has been refined for the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, and the Russian localization has also been updated.
- Language switching now refreshes city names, rating prompts, and related interface elements more reliably.
- Time, duration, distance, and measurement units are displayed more consistently across route statistics and history.
- If the map cannot be loaded, a proper error state now appears with an option to try again.
- Several crashes and route preview issues have been fixed.
- Route completion tracking and restoration have been improved for a more reliable walking, running, and city exploration experience.
- And, as usual, there are plenty of smaller interface fixes and stability improvements hiding between the streets.

### 4.7.26 — 2026-07-15

This update makes route tracking more reliable and Visited Streets faster, especially for explorers with large cities and lots of progress.

Active walks now recover better after a background app restart, and the full recorded path is redrawn when you return to the map. This reduces the chance of losing part of a long walk and makes it easier to continue exploring where you left off.

Visited Streets is now much lighter. Remaining streets load more efficiently, loading states were refreshed, and city and custom-area cards have a cleaner, more consistent design.

Also in this update:

• Lifetime Pro is available again.
• Total Stats and distance units are clearer and more consistent.
• Improved layouts on smaller iPhones, including onboarding, paywalls, and route completion.
• Added subtle haptics to the city and area selector.
• Polished map controls, city cards, sharing labels, and route completion details.

Keep exploring—there are always more streets around the corner.

### 4.7.25 — 2026-07-10

This update is focused on making your walking tracker feel faster, smoother, and more reliable, especially if you explore big cities and have a lot of visited streets, route history, and progress data. Active walks are now saved more safely while you move, lock your phone, come back later, or finish a route. Loading screens for visited streets, progress, and route history now use cleaner skeleton states, so the app feels alive instead of frozen. Route history has also become lighter, with better previews, lazy loading for older walks, and clearer handling of interrupted or discarded routes. We added the current active walk to history, so it is easier to see that your adventure is still in progress. The new street discovery moment is now shown with a calmer snackbar instead of extra animation noise, because finding a new street should feel nice, not like a tiny fireworks factory. Map controls, onboarding, navigation, and tab bar details were polished to make exploring your city feel more natural. We also cleaned up debug noise and added better heavy-user testing, because your city walks should be the only thing putting in serious mileage.
