Does the dev team (is it even a team?) have any point of contact? ### 1/5 — poor operation *2022-03-17, version 2.0.6* Slow operation and poor user interface. It stopped opening (loading) out of the clear blue. I'm downloading and reinstalling to see if I can get it to work. I have Streetsmart Edge on my computer but I really need this app to work on my Iphone XR. It seems like I've had trouble since updating my Apple Version to IOS 15.4. CONFIRMED! After installing, removing, and reinstalling three times, this app will NO LONGER OPEN since my iPhone XR updated to IOS 15.4. ### 1/5 — Can’t use app without futures on your account *2022-02-09, version 2.0.6* I don’t trade futures, but I do trade options, and that is a nightmare to do on the basic Schwab app. I thought I would give this app a whirl, but it won’t even let me sign in if I don’t have futures access on my accounts. I shouldn’t have to apply to add futures to my existing accounts just to have access to a decent trading app. Not everyone can sit at their computer all day to scan for trade opportunities, and the basic app is garbage for trading. Maybe slowly fading my money out of Schwab and into another institution isn’t such a bad idea after all. ### 2/5 — Easy to trade but hard to use *2022-02-05, version 2.0.6* The trading interface is good, has lots of powerful functions/tools. But it crashes a lot especially during the first 20min after maker opens. and Face ID no longer works…. very annoying. ### 1/5 — They broke Face ID *2022-01-28, version 2.0.6* If the goal is to have more security, Schwab is going in reverse. I am considering changing my Schwab password to something less complex because I trade futures and have to use this app when away from my PC. This app is unusable with a complex password that has to be entered each time I use the app. Also, it gives an error when trying to use iOS keychain to log in. What’s the deal with that? Come on Schwab. This could be costing your customers money every day it stays broken! Your programmers should be working around the clock to get this fixed, if they are not already! ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2022-01-26, version 2.0.6* Schwab gets just about nothing right with this app. They even managed in typical Schwab fashion to “upgrade” the app which made it worse. The latest update removed remember my login and Face ID login. Both of which worked before the “upgrade”. ### 1/5 — Barely useful *2022-01-14, version 2.0.6* Basic function - trading futures- is ok, even though it is slow, and you can’t set “One triggers two” exit strategy. Also, FaceID is no longer working - it is enabled in my app, but every time I launch the app, I have to enter login/password to login. ### 2/5 — Was good until update recently *2022-01-12, version 2.0.6* I’ve been using this app for about a year now and it’s been good. Recently they took away the Face ID login and it doesn’t stay logged in if you ever away from the app. Makes it annoying having to log in every single time. Gotta find a different app to trade now. ### 1/5 — Suddenly unable to login *2021-12-14, version 2.0.6* After the recent update, the login page changed and now every attempt to login results in an “incorrect username/password” error (even though the same credentials using the Schwab Mobile app work just fine). Just says “wrong password” even though I’m using a password manager and definitely am not getting the password wrong. No link to reset the password or log in any other way. The login screen almost looks like an error page… are there any active developers for this app or is it abandoned? ### 1/5 — Still can’t login *2021-12-09, version 2.0.6* Been 2 months now that the app won’t allow me to log in. Absolutely ridiculous that a company this large can’t put out a phone app that works. Need to go back to Different brokerage. ### 1/5 — Even worse than it was before *2021-12-07, version 2.0.6* I use Street Smart Edge daily as I trade options, stocks and futures and I have been a schwab customer for many years. Now, Schwab came up with a new “update” which requires that I manually type in my password each time. Previously, I was able to use my FaceID and Apple Keychain to save my password. Now, I have to manually copy my password and paste it into the Password field. This ads extra clicks for me. Schwab is awful. If anyone thinks otherwise, you are wrong. I am moving over to Tastyworks at the beginning of the new year. ### 2/5 — New update broke login *2021-12-01, version 2.0.6* With 2.0.6 update App login became broken. Each time I open App it ask me to enter login and password and I don’t see any option to save it. FaceID login doesn’t supported anymore. Option just missed from app settings. ### 1/5 — Fails @ Login *2021-11-01, version 2.0.5* As a Schwab customer, I expected the StreetSmart mobile to work. After submitting the user ID and password and hitting Login, next a message pops up regarding Forex, Futures and margin. After selecting OK in the message box, the password field is empty and has to be typed in again. After reentering the password, the message box appears again. It’s a constant circle that never resolves, blocking any ability to actually log in. Frustrated, I deleted the app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Broken login *2023-02-07, version 2.1.0* Wanted a mobile version of SSE for a while. Unfortunately, my normal login credentials don’t work on the app like they do on my desktop. Totally unusable as is. The ability to log into ones account is essential for the app to even work. Zero stars till fixed. ### 1/5 — Disgracefully bad app *2022-12-06, version 2.0.9* This app is pathetically bad - I have lost thousands of dollars in poor/sluggish execution due to it messing up my trades or requiring me to re-enter them. Aside from its labyrinthine design and poor execution, the user interface is horrifically ugly and dated - evoking late 90’s internet platforms. I’m not sure what kind of customer this app is made for, because it doesn’t suit anyone. Having a product like this is surprising and embarrassing for a company like Schwab which emphasizes good customer experience. ### 1/5 — What happened to iOS fingerprint or faceid login *2022-10-01, version 2.0.9* Seems silly to still have to login manually when the purpose of iPhone is fingerprint or faceid login. Why did it go away, can u please put it back. Why doesn’t Schwab care about the Mobile experience??? Go to TOS *2022-05-26, version 2.0.8* Shocked that Schwab doesn’t offer a better mobile experience for frequent traders. Just go to Think or Swim and don’t look back. Too many features missing to even type them all. Sooo many extra clicks required to do one simple task, or to monitor your positions In Real time. If you make more than a few trades a day, stay away! Here’s a few: -No pull down refresh on positions page, also doesn’t live refresh -No life refresh. Period. Even on a live order your submitting. Has the quote significant changed in the last 10 seconds since you decided to create this order? You’ll never know. I would never submit a market order on this app. You have no idea what your price will be. -Few links to anything to do research from an order, including options chains from a live order -No push notifications for trades?!? What is this 2010? -Manual login now required each time with no remember me or FaceTime option?!? ### 1/5 — Can’t even log in for the last few weeks *2022-04-07, version 2.0.6* Called customer service but they said they know it will not work; but they don’t know when or if it will Be repaired. Totally unusable now. Maybe they are switching to think or swim? Probably should have made the switch long ago (they own TDA also). ### 1/5 — App developers? NOT!! *2022-04-06, version 2.0.6* The App developers should be embarrassed of themselves for creating something that doesn’t even operate. First it was, you can’t use Face ID log in and now you can’t even log in after the fact your input username/password. Just gives you time clock but never logs in….message to app developers, quit and go do something else, you are not fit for this task. Garbage App! ### 1/5 — Worse active trader app *2022-03-25, version 2.0.6* So many issues can’t even name them all here. From (just recently) disabling FaceID logins to missing options pricing quotes to inability to roll basic spreads….just a garbage app. I’ve been with Schwab for over 20 years but have moved all my assets between TastyTrade and IB. Only keeping basic checking account on Schwab only because I’m too lazy to change all my Billpay’s right now. ### 1/5 — Shame on Schwab *2022-03-23, version 2.0.6* They’re one of the largest brokerages and they can’t even get their act together with this app. Broken for months now, can’t even load the page to login. Moving my funds to TD (even though Schwab owns them now). The new Thinkorswim platform to replace this old platform is working seamlessly. Highly functional now and fast. Reduces time spent and offers massive comparisons across multiple indicators. Ten stars for the upfront support ahead of this roll out too. The replacement for this app is what traders are looking for. Even for the old school pencil and paper pushers. Very user friendly. ### 5/5 — Long time customer *2022-11-01, version 2.0.9* I have been using Charles Schwab since 1998 and I am totally satisfied with the professional service. And when I have any service questions or need assistance on the phone they actually answer the phone immediately and that means the world to me. Awesome service. In terms of prettiness, it could be better. The all in one trading ticket is hands down the best in the industry for futures options. ### 5/5 — Easily Intuitive Interface *2017-11-10, version 1.0* Highly recommend having a Schwab Tech support person talk you through the set up. Once they point how how easy it is, you won't be frustrated. I love it from Day One. I didn’t know this app existed, but when I wanted to see futures the regular Schwab app required me to install this. I typically don’t I stall apps with this many negative reviews, but I noticed most of them were years old. As I have only used it a day, I don’t have a total picture but I have traded on it without it crashing, used charts, looked up options, moved between several different accounts and so far, so good. If it becomes unreliable, I wil update the review. Otherwise, feel sure that I am still enjoying it. ### 3/5 — Face ID no longer works *2022-01-07, version 2.0.6* Slightly irritated that Face ID does not work anymore. It also doesn’t keep an updated version of your amount in your bank like the Charles Schwab app. If your money in the app ready to use gets swept into a sweep fund Streetsmart will no longer let you use that income. Please update problems. ### 3/5 — Managed expectations *2021-02-02, version 2.0.4* The app works well enough for my situation. I only use the app for order entry . One major improvement would be a dark mode! It’s all white, at 5am with screen brightness all the way down.... ouch . ### 2/5 — Miles Behind the Actual Schwab App *2023-09-05* With all of its money Schwab still has not updated this app to make it more user friendly? It’s so annoying and confusing to use. It’s organization seems like it was created to intentionally be confusing and give you adhd. I love the Schwab mobile app, and I hate the street smart app but for some reason they only let you do REAL trading on this app or their website. Thus reforming this needs to be a priority! ### 2/5 — Interface too dark *2023-04-21* They recently updated this app to have a new dark look with a black background, and it feels impossible to clearly see everything.
