### 4/5 — Good tracker

*2026-08-03, version 8.1.2*

Does a good job keeping track of workouts. Some work still needed: missing a lot of lifts, kind of hard to include certain nuanced workouts

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2026-07-29, version 8.1.2*

Like the app wish I could connect my Fitbit.

### 4/5 — Great app for tracking progress

*2026-07-08, version 8.1.2*

### 5/5 — Great Help for remaining focused!!

*2026-06-30, version 8.1.2*

This app constantly surprises me on how simple it is to use and its complexity. It is full of bells and whistles but is simple to use. And it’s free!!

### 5/5 — Great!

### 5/5 — Dope App

*2026-06-25, version 8.1.2*

This app is good to keep track of your workouts and even have lots of free programs and way more on the paid side which is inexpensive for a one stop shop app

### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed

*2026-06-25, version 8.1.2*

Tracker video demonstrations and exercise list that is second to none. I’m only using the free version too. Amazing app

### 5/5 — My goats

*2026-06-25, version 8.1.2*

I share this thing with everybody who works out in my presence, I love this thing. Everything I was looking for in a training app and the extras aren’t insane on your pockets either. This app has definitely made it easier for me to track progress and have been hitting prs like crazy, or just letting me see what I was previously capable of. Unprovoked review just bc I wanted yall to know you’re doing a great job, even with the little training events yall do 💯

### 5/5 — The best work app

*2026-06-23, version 8.1.2*

It make it easy to do you workouts. It’s add all of the weight and show your volume. It gives you fun goals to accomplish and it says if your weight isn’t right on your bar. If you need a free Workout Tracker use this.

### 5/5 — Free version is great.

*2026-06-22, version 8.1.2*

This has helped me make progress. Videos are helpful for learning new exercises safely. Good variety of suggested programs. Clearly by and for lifters; I wish they would pick some low hanging fruit to better support running or swimming interval workouts.

### 5/5 — Best app

*2026-06-20, version 8.1.2*

I tried many apps and settled on StrengthLog as the best. Great programs and excellent tracking. No AI fantasies. Simple weight lifting stuff

### 5/5 — Love the new update

*2026-06-19, version 8.1.2*

It was already good to begin with, but this new update made it even better! Easy to log exercises, the new interface is easier to see/read/edit rest periods.

### 5/5 — Amazing value

*2026-06-18, version 8.1.2*

Amazing value for a free app have used it for 2 years straight now

### 5/5 — Best free app out there

*2026-06-13, version 8.1.2*

This is by FAR the best workout app I’ve used without exaggeration. I use the free version at the moment, which has pretty much everything you need, but just due to how good the app is I have been heavily considering getting the premium subscription.

Every exercise you can think of is on there, each with their own video as well as an intuitive graphic to show what muscles are being targeted. As well as that, there are SO many pre-made workout programs on the app that are actually good no matter what your end goal is in the gym, so if you’re a beginner and you don’t want to create your own workout program due to lack of experience, following the programs on the app is a fantastic way to get started.

The app also has so many features that not even the paid versions of other workout apps do - from tracking your warmups/dropsets, to logging what calisthenics or stretching exercises you are doing, to even having a section specifically dedicated to progress photos. Overall, I could not be more satisfied with this and I cannot think of a workout app more deserving of a 5 star review.

### 5/5 — Couldn’t have asked for better

*2026-06-12, version 8.1.2*

This app is great. It’s taken all the weight off my shoulders of trying to track everything mentally, and it does such a great job of tracking progress. The freemium model is financially intelligent, and customer-friendly, the ability to track bodyweight and body measurements is excellent and the UI is very well developed. There is only one minor caveat that I would like to see changed, and that is to enter the standalone barbell weight, so that you don’t have to translate between a 10kg bar and a 20kg bar in the visual diagram to double check the weight you entered is correct. Other than that though, truly an app designed with the customer in mind, and one of the best and most accessible I’ve tried.

### 5/5 — The best! Helping me get healthy :)

*2026-06-09, version 8.1.2*

I researched so many apps for logging workouts and this is the one that seemed the best for me. I love how easy it is to log workouts, track progress and continue challenging yourself using this app. I usually regret paid apps or don’t end up using them….but this one has helped change my life for the better. It is worth every penny I’ve paid for it. I used it for free for about a week or so and it was a no brainer purchase after that. The fact it tells you stats like how many workouts, reps, sets and how much weight you’ve lifted is great for people who like to see numbers that keep you pushing! If you are looking for a great workout app this is it!

### 5/5 — The best and easiest

*2026-06-07, version 8.1.2*

Really intuitive interface, easy to customise sets and good reporting, easy to access data from even years ago, well done StrengthLog!

### 3/5 — App is good.

*2026-06-04, version 8.1.2*

The app is good and I really like it. The only problem is the price. It might have been ok a couple of years ago but there is just too much competition now offering the same AND more for far less money.

### 5/5 — Best workout app

*2026-05-30*

Everything is amazing. It works and doesn’t fight or annoy you.

**Developer response:** Thank you John, I'm glad that you like the app! :) Best, Sandrine

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bugs

*2026-01-08, version 7.4.6*

Stopped using because of a simple yet frustrating bug. I cant edit or delete the exercises I made

### 1/5 — Problem

*2025-11-18, version 7.3.7*

The new user option doesn’t work 🤷‍♂️

### 1/5 — Worst App Ever!!

*2025-10-11, version 7.3.4*

Buyer beware! Do not waste your time. The app is glitchy and the support team wants you to do their work for them. Asked for a refund to avoid reviews like this but they insist on pleading ignorance and refusing to close this out.

My issues with this is their equipment selection is basic. Even when you tell it you have all gym equipment it wants you to go out to buy water bottles and other not so common items in your gym to workout with.

Biggest issue is (for example) if you start a 3 week program and are 2 weeks into it when you decide you need to change the difficulty or something, this app will restart you at day one erasing all of your progress.

This app has a long way to go to improve, but their customer service and technical teams need an even bigger overhaul!

### 1/5 — Not free

*2025-08-10, version 7.2.3*

The app doesn’t offer any free features

### 1/5 — $16 / month!

*2025-06-20, version 7.1.3*

These subscription models have gotten out of control. They prey on you forgetting you have it after you stop using it. ANYONE that pays this is doing a fool’s errand…IMHO.

### 1/5 — Not free at all

*2025-04-01, version 6.8.1*

Only a tiny bit is free and it us $16 a month. I understand $3 a month but $16

### 1/5 — Too expensive

*2024-09-30, version 6.4.15*

Raising the price to £15 a month is ridiculous for this. Quite a useful app in many regards, but certainly not groundbreaking. I have found it a useful way to track my lifts but I could do that in notes on my phone for free.

### 1/5 — Developers sniffing glue.

*2024-09-24, version 6.4.15*

$22/mo for this?

Reply with your drug dealers #. The stuff you got is way stronger than mine.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t not work on Apple Watch

*2024-08-07, version 6.4.13*

App instantly crashes on Apple Watch

### 1/5 — Apple Watch

*2024-04-30, version 6.4.7*

I like this app, but how do I save a workout on my watch? I see it’s not a feature yet, but I do not see a way to start a program on my watch then switch all that info to my iPhone? Why is this not a thing?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best Lifting App Ever

*2026-08-20, version 8.1.2*

Super easy to use. You can use free premade workouts or make your own and save them and reuse them. Much of the features are available for free, but also has excellent material with subscription. I love that it keeps track of PRs and total
Weight lifted per set and per total workout. Also runs smoothly on my Apple Watch so I don’t have to be looking at my phone to record reps and weight, easy to do on the watch. Seriously an awesome
App that is excellent even without paying for the subscription.

### 5/5 — Great organizational tool!!

*2026-08-14, version 8.1.2*

This program had allowed me to transition from years of carrying around a piece of paper or clipboard or using my memory to a handheld device. No more writing things down or forgetting what to write down. This software starts with the pre-workout planning, to the gym day recording and the post-workout review.

It excels with the planning piece with many workouts included. These workouts can be modified to fit your preferences and your workout data is stored for use with the planning of your next workout. There are hundreds of exercises to choose from when planning.

It’s free but for a very small fee you can upgrade to some amazing enhancements.

And Sandrine and others are at the ready to answer questions. I couldn’t ask for more. Outstanding program and an outstanding team behind it.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-08-12, version 8.1.2*

Hands down the best workout tracker app there is. Love the app and the people involved with the project.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-04, version 8.1.2*

Great app with excellent free features

### 5/5 — Exceptional

*2026-07-27, version 8.1.2*

I’ve found the functionality, ability to change things round and the all round performances to be amazing. I would highly recommend. I’ve only used the free features and haven’t paid for premium - I think the price for that is really high. I have found the free version to be brilliant though. Thanks for much for developing it.

### 5/5 — Best Freemium Tracking App

*2026-07-20, version 8.1.2*

I have tried a ton of weightlifting tracker apps. This one crushes it. Clearly made for lifters by lifters, they are extremely generous with their free app. You get everything you NEED for free. Highly recommend for custom programming as well as using the ones pre made.

### 5/5 — Great app, just need a tempo timer with concentric and eccentric

*2026-07-20, version 8.1.2*

Concentric and eccentric timer

### 5/5 — Solid app

*2026-07-18, version 8.1.2*

StrengthLog does exactly what it needs to do. Not a ton of bells and whistles which is a good thing. I love the short video exercise examples.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-09, version 8.1.2*

I love this app. I use it for years.

### 5/5 — This is it.

*2026-07-07, version 8.1.2*

I’ve been using this app for 5 years now and I wouldn’t have wanted to come across any other workout app.
