### 5/5 — Best Strength Performance App

*2016-07-25, version 1.50*

I have tried them all and this app, without question, is THE BEST ONE. I train the Westside Barbell method so this app has been invaluable to me. You can add/customize any exercise you can think of which is crucial training a system that has you maxing out in a different exercise every week. When you come around to the same exercise again, all you have to do is check records, find the exercise, and crush it. Westside also has you train speed on certain percentages of a 1-rep Max and this app makes that very simple to calculate. Just find your record and adjust the training percentage and the app tells you quickly what weight to use. I needed something like this when I started Westside as using a notebook would just be ridiculous. I now have been using this app for over 2 years and it just gets better and better every update. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE SOFT, COOKIE CUTTER FITNESS APPS THAT AN OLD LADY WOULD USE. IT'S EASY, STRAIGHTFORWARD, AND PERFECT FOR ANY GOAL-ORIENTED TRAINING METHOD! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

### 5/5 — Essential

*2015-11-15, version 1.47*

I use this app all the time. Love logging a PR and getting that popup!

### 5/5 — Works well

*2015-05-08, version 1.47*

Great for tracking progress and lots of customisation

### 5/5 — Excellent & Comprehensive

*2015-01-08, version 1.46*

Finally the perfect gym/strength training app! I've been looking for something like this for awhile but every app came up short. It's obvious the app was meticulously created and is organized well. With most apps I feel annoyed by putting in data but this app "tracks" everything so well I love tracking my workouts and watching my progress. Awesome!

*Update 1.45* iPhone 6, 6+ screen support is awesome. Still use the app for every workout-there’s nothing better out there. Recently used exercises are now in the search to add list making it even faster!

### 5/5 — Favorite tracker

*2014-12-10, version 1.45*

This is a great way to track workouts and follow a lifting program.

### 5/5 — Best workout app I've tried so far

*2014-11-26, version 1.45*

Been using for 3 months and love it

### 5/5 — Brilliant Weight Training App

*2014-11-02, version 1.45*

This is an excellent app for both experienced and novice lifters for designing and logging workouts. StrengthMark has a comprehensive database of exercises to manage any programmes. It is very flexible and allows for inputting reps, weight (kilos or pounds) and the One Rep Max. It lets you keep track of rest times and effort, as well as the add notes for each set. It has a full calendar function.

I have used a number of other weight lifting programme trackers and builders, but StrengthMark is head and shoulders above the rest. Its worth at the very least a couple of quid. It’s quite amazing that its free. The developer has also taken the time to answer my questions quickly and comprehensively. Full marks.

### 5/5 — Well done, best log out there

*2014-10-27, version 1.45*

As a competitive power lifter who uses Westside programming. I wanted a log that was simple, customizable and could track progress. This app does this better than any I've used to date. My favorite capabilities: track both completed and missed reps-done, quick/automatic % of 1rm for dynamic or ME Days-done, running 1rm on any exercise (not just not 3)- done. Better programming means better results and this tool is great to have in your toolbox!

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2014-10-04, version 1.45*

Makes keeping track of progress simple.

### 5/5 — Solid effort, excellent

*2014-08-02, version 1.4*

I have owned tons of these types of apps and found the old GymBuddy to be the best. That app stopped being supported by the developer years ago. This app is just as good. EZ to use, visually appealing, and super customizable.
I highly recommend it as a tool to track your workouts.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Was a 5 now a 1

*2020-06-30, version 1.65*

Went to record my info this morning and the app won’t even open after the update yesterday. Have been using app for 5 years and never had a problem until this morning.

### 2/5 — Not Very User Friendly

*2016-12-26, version 1.55.1*

Kind of tedious and disconnected to set up routines and a schedule. Has promise - but not there yet.

### 2/5 — Simple

*2013-08-11, version 1.2.1*

No way to delete templates

### 4/5 — Great app

*2017-01-01*

Fantastic for planning and recording workouts. A rest timer and weight graphing would make this a 5 star app.

### 4/5 — Nice

*2016-12-18, version 1.55.1*

I like the app, especially the bar calculator and weight % chart. My only recommendation is to have the exercises appear in a list form (similar to the Fitlist app) where you click the exercise and it opens a new window with the sets/reps/etc). That way you're not using a new "session" for each exercise or making a long list of exercises under one session.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2016-11-30, version 1.55.1*

So far so good. It's easy to use. Has plenty of built in workouts. Copying my weekly routine is pretty simple. Could use a few tweaks. Still the best workout app I have found. I can make up workouts, it lets me track super sets. Super easy to use

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2015-11-17, version 1.47*

Hard to find a training log that works well and is not over bloated. This app is the best I've found so far. Two big weaknesses.

1: History for each movement is impossible to see. You can see 1rm history (if you set it) and current PR for each rep range, but that is it. If you want to see a list of all your "squat" work in one place, this app does not do that. I want to see that.

2: It will not display or calculate "time" PRs. You can create the new/custom movement and log it with time, but that info goes no where. The PR does not display time and once again, there is no history view. For example, I would like to track a few benchmark CF WODs, like Fran and my progress as I get faster. This app will not do this at all.

Outside of these two things, it's a great app. If you just like to log your lifts and know what your current rep maxes are, this app is great.

### 4/5 — Nice little app

*2015-07-29, version 1.47*

I'm able to use it to track weight and time for my Super Slow workouts which makes this unique among workout apps

### 4/5 — Love it!!!

*2015-04-25, version 1.47*

I really like this app. You can customize your workout. Add new exercises. It record your 1rm and PR. It has all the basis you need to keep complete track of your workouts. Most important, it is free.

### 4/5 — Very flexible. Easy to Navigate. Wish it posted to social networks

*2014-01-18, version 1.3.1*

This is a really good app. It lets me log all sorts of different exercises and doesn't try to force me into a certain pigeonhole. I do Wendler's 5/3/1 for Powerlifting and it is extremely easy to just cut and paste.

I do wish I could upload my training logs to social networks somehow and it would be great to be able to embed a photo (or better yet, a video) of that particular session.

The developers are very responsive and listen to suggestions, as they have made many improvements I've suggested.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love being able to plan out a session

*2025-02-25, version 1.65.2*

I have used the app off and on for a while, keep coming back. It has all the right features in all the right places.

I see that it has been a minute since any updates but if I could make a suggestion for one small feature: disable auto lock.
The rest timer gets bogged down by the constant locking and unlocking.

### 5/5 — Easy, Practical and Tracks my Progress

*2021-12-08, version 1.65.2*

I like things simple and effective. I’m able to easily track each set off each exercise and track my PR’s on each lift.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2020-09-17, version 1.65.2*

Literally the only workout app i use. The new rest timer addition is super helpful to keep track of rest time between sets.

### 5/5 — Best app that I've found for tracking percentage-based programs

*2020-07-14, version 1.65.2*

This app is so simple to use and it works tremendously well for tracking percentage-based programs. I've used it for several years now and have occasionally tried others to see if I am missing something. Nope! I always stick with Strengtthmark because it does exactly what I need it to do in a simple manner.

UPDATE: This app is still great but why did you remove the arrows for navigating between sets. That was very helpful when plugging in sets at different reps and percentages.

BETTER UPDATE: The new update is awesome! Thanks for listening and bringing back the arrows to navigate between sets and the integrated rest timer works great!

### 5/5 — Works Great!

*2018-09-23, version 1.61*

This app is well thought out and the UI is pretty nice.

It is also free, and what you get for it is absolutely worth paying for.

The only thing I feel is missing from this app is rest timers.

### 5/5 — Simple and Easy

*2017-02-19, version 1.55.1*

I was looking for an app to keep track of my max lifts in a simple and easy way, and this is exactly what I needed. It has all the features I was hoping for including a way to add my own exercises, templates for recurring routines and a screen to see all the max lifts.

### 5/5 — Easy & Detailed

*2017-01-15, version 1.55.1*

A very simple app to use to input & track your workouts.

Some very useful tools and definitely the best of its kind I have found to date plus is free!!!

Has really made scheduling my periodisation for powerlifting a doddle!

### 5/5 — LOVE this app!

*2016-08-29, version 1.50.1*

It is quick and easy to use with lots of nice short cuts for logging weightlifting complexes and super sets. It is also easy to add custom exercise entries. The developer/support is super accessible and helpful.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2016-08-27, version 1.50.1*

Just love this app. Really helps keep track of lifting goals and history. Developers follows up quickly on any issues and continues to make improvements.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2016-07-25, version 1.50*

This latest update is everything I was hoping for. Super sets have finally been added. The layout is also a little cleaner too. I use this app 6 days a week.
