## What is Stride?

A running tracker that speaks up, so you don't have to look down.

Stride measures your run with your iPhone's GPS and calls out every milestone out loud: "3 kilometers. Time, 16 minutes 12 seconds. Average pace, 5 minutes 24 seconds per kilometer." Choose the spacing that suits you — every half, one, two or five kilometres or miles.

• A ring that fills as you close in on the next milestone
• Time, average pace and current pace. Nothing else.

ANNOUNCEMENTS ON YOUR TERMS

EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR IPHONE
Stride has no account, no sign-up and no internet connection. Your runs, splits and GPS routes are stored only on your device. Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to.

Your run, without unlocking the phone.

• A Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island: distance, time, pace, and how far to your next announcement. Tap it to jump back into Stride.
• Milestones are now spoken reliably from a locked phone in your pocket, not held back until you next open the app.
• The countdown says all five numbers, every time — and now counts you back in after a pause too, if you want it to.

Sharing:
• Your connections are one tap away whether you share, receive, or both.
• An invitation link that can't be opened now says so.
• Smaller fixes throughout.

Sharing grew up in this release.

• Every invitation is now its own private link, meant for one person. Stop sharing with one friend without touching another.
• A monthly leaderboard on the Sharing tab — Distance, Sessions, Longest and Fastest — so a walker can win Sessions while a runner takes Distance.
• Invitations count even when Stride was closed when the link was tapped.

Also:
• Pair any Bluetooth heart-rate monitor in Settings. A WHOOP appears once Broadcast Heart Rate is on in the WHOOP app; AirPods that sense heart rate report on their own during a session.
• Clearer words when you're offline, and smaller fixes throughout.
