## What is Stride?

A step leaderboard for your friend group.

Not a wellness platform. Not a coach. Just a group chat that walks...and occasionally talks trash.

HOW IT WORKS
• Connect Apple Health in one tap
• See where you rank today, this week, and all time
• Earn daily titles like Step Daddy, Almost Famous, and Couch King
• Send a Taunt when you're coming after someone — they'll feel it

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
• Friends-only by default. You choose who sees your steps.
• Global leaderboard is opt-in. See where you rank across all Stride users, or keep it just between your group.
• Taunts are rate-limited so nobody gets spammed.
• No subscriptions. No coaching. No "wellness journey."

WHO IT'S FOR
Group chats. Coworkers. Couples. Roommates. Any friend group that already roasts each other and could use a scoreboard.

WHY IT WORKS
You walk more when your friends are watching. That's the whole product.

REQUIREMENTS
• Apple Health
• At least one friend (preferably more)

## Key features

- Step leaderboard for friend groups
- Connects with Apple Health
- Daily and all-time rankings

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7.2 — 2026-07-21

Your leaderboard now shows its empty seats. With fewer than three friends, Stride points out exactly who's missing, by name where it can. Go fill them.

Meet Nudge: one tap to poke the invites and friend requests people are pretending they didn't see.

And if Stride ever stopped counting your steps behind your back, it now notices and tells you, instead of leaving you frozen at zero while everyone strolls past.

### 1.7.1 — 2026-07-10

Pick your line.
Every taunt is yours to choose now, house (default) voice included. Tap anyone on the board to send one.

Your voices, one place.
Switch taunt packs or go back to the house style without a trip through the store.

Invite the easy way.
Drop a link straight into the group chat and let them come to you.

Fewer ghosts.
We hunted down a batch of bugs that were quietly freezing people on the leaderboard, and made getting back in after a sign-out a one-tap job.

### 1.7 — 2026-07-03

Voices are here.
Your taunts now come with a personality. Send them as a corporate
middle manager, a mystic astrologer, an unimpressed mom, or a
theatrical cartoon villain. Grab one pack, or all four for less. More to come!

Founder's Circle.
Keep the lights on for $2.99 a month. Show your status with a crown
on every board, you get new packs before anyone else, and you can send
ideas straight to the one person who builds this.

Collector badges.
Pin your favorites to your row. Nobody asked. Now you can anyway.

Plus a stack of small fixes, because that never ends.

### 1.06 — 2026-06-25

You stay signed in. A rough launch, no signal, a slow reconnect, a
server hiccup used to occasionally sign you out and freeze your spot
on the board until you reopened the app. Sorted.

Plus a round of quiet cleanup: smoother loading when you're flipping
between today, this week, and global, and fewer phantom "something
went wrong" messages when nothing actually did.

### 1.05 — 2026-06-03

What's New

• Weekly Wrapped landed. A swipeable recap of your week, your nemesis,
your standings, ready to send to the group chat the moment Sunday
  resets.

• Overtakes are a moment now. Pass a friend and you'll get a card to
share, plus a taunt button right there so you can pour salt in the
  same breath.

• Brag from anywhere. New share button on Leaderboard and Profile that
turns your live step count into a card with a one-line stat for
scale. The lines are weird on purpose.

• Side Quests are showing up on the board. Three pinned badges next to
your name so the group sees what you're cooking before they see
  your number.

• Plus tighter leaderboard rows when names get long, a calmer live
walker indicator, and the usual fewer-bugs-than-last-time.
