Over the time I’ve used it, I haven’t lost a single sat. Everything has worked exactly as expected, which is about the highest compliment I can give a financial platform. One feature that deserves more attention is Strike’s Bitcoin-backed loan process. If you ever need access to cash, the process is straightforward and simple, allowing you to borrow against your Bitcoin rather than selling it outright. For anyone who understands the long-term value of Bitcoin, that’s a tremendous option to have. Also, I love that you can send sats to wallets (like when I make purchases with bitcoin). Just deposit cash from your bank, click send to wallet, and the money immediately gets converted to sats and sent for your purchase to the vendor’s wallet. If you’re looking for an easy, dependable way to buy and hold Bitcoin, I have no hesitation recommending Strike. Absolutely unacceptable and there are many other apps that can do this in just a few days. Conveniently, all of their methods for despot are instant and free while charging a nearly 2% withdraw fee. Customer support is very fast to reply to tickets. The stuff like the paying bills or gift cards in the app is cool, but the main reason I am going to continue using strike and not any other major exchange, on-ramp platform, or overpriced crypto exchange feature that all the fiat digital payment platforms have now is that the total cost from fees to get the money in my bank account exchanged for crypto is the lowest i would expect to be possible. I like that I can deposit from my bank account directly for no additional fees, and then I can buy ~$100 worth of bitcoin from my strike balance with total fees being $0.86 at the highest so far. It is also great that I can send to my custodial wallets immediately as other platforms will hold the coins on the platform for a week if you use the bank transfer payment option. My one mild issue has been that to use the bank transfer payment, I have to remove the payment method from my strike account and add it back again through Plaid every time I want to use this payment method, I don’t think I can make 2 deposits using the bank transfer without disconnecting and reconnecting the account. Honestly not a big deal once you catch on to that but i could see it being confusing if you were not aware of this quirk.
