String AI is an AI practice coach built exclusively for violin, viola, and cello. It listens to every note, watches your form, scores every attempt, and tells you exactly what to fix — in real time.

Its scoring standards were designed and reviewed together by violin, viola, and cello teachers trained at Curtis, Colburn, Seoul National University, Eastman, Manhattan School of Music, USC, and CIM. The standard a world-class teacher holds you to, applied to every minute you practice.

Audio and video are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. Lesson replays are temporary. I’ve found this app to be a great tool for daily practice. It gives my child clear direction during solo practice, making their routine much structured compared to practicing alone.

It works best as supplement to regular lessons rather than standalone teacher. When used alongside regular lessons, it acts as a fantastic practice assistant.

Started the 7-Day trial and it is nothing like I thought it would be. It isn’t clear about what it wants you to do. You can’t talk or message the AI to clarify or ask questions during practice. It just keeps telling you unclear instructions. It only has a tiny list of songs to choose from for cello so this is basically useless for my daughter. It also doesn’t help much with form. Maybe in the future it will improve but it’s not there yet.
