I love the app and hence subscribed back in July, when annual subscription was just $10. I ended up referring my friends who also joined and subscribed. However, recently another friend tried to subscribe as she had a Fitbit, the subscription went up three times and its now $30 annually. Tried reaching support for help, but no response.

I do weekly step challenges on this app and by the 2nd to last day the app starts to glitch. This happens every week without fail not showing correct data. It’s unfortunate because this app has the potential to be great if they fixed the bugs.

Could you please add relative goals for challenges like apple fitness? That way you can compete with people who typically do more or less. 

For instance, I don’t want to do a steps challenge with someone if I know I’m going to beat them everyday. However, if my goal is 12k steps and there’s is 8k, and points are awarded for how close you get to that goal or beyond it, then you can compete with anyone. Please add this feature!

I enjoy the app. I’m already active and yet it still pushes me to do more. Had a situation in the competition I had joined where someone was cheating and Strive looked into and resolved the issue in no time. If you haven’t already, Join now!

I reported that somehow I was in first place in the July minutes competition, which was impossible as I am an old lady usually in the middle of the pack.  The next time I checked I was in my rightful place of 36th.  It was a quick resolution.

I rarely get sketched out or have privacy concerns since there’s basically no such thing as privacy these days. However — the  premium function allowing you to view anybody’s profile and see how may steps somebody took on a random day 4 years ago was enough for me and my friends to abandon this app. It’s also very strange and sketchy that when you download the app it automatically populates your first and last name and your location. Basically automatically doxing you. 

You should be able to opt out of people paying to see your information- no matter how insignificant it may seem. This app is blatantly selling it.

Tried to host a group contest for work. App only works if they have an iPhone. Tried manual entry of workouts and it doesn’t count it towards their goal. Waste of 50 dollars. Support email doesn’t respond.

I,along with my adult family, paid to use this app so we can compete against each other. It has been 3 weeks and after a lot of going back and forth with customer service, we just can’t get this to work.  Our smart scales register our measurements and they sync with our heath app, but it does not sync with strive.  All our data from our watches sync over, like steps, exercise, but we can’t get our weight to sync.  We have to manually input the data. All permissions are toggled yes, Bluetooth is enabled.  Out of 4 of us, we can’t get our weight to sync.  My son is a computer engineer and he can’t figure it out.  I do not recommend.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback and review. We’ve investigated this issue and we believe we’ve fixed this. If you have time please redownload the Strive app and try again. We hope you consider using Strive again for weight loss challenges with you and your family.

Downloaded and was going to try it out, however after giving permission to my gallery I have decided to delete. The app wasted my time, i got a message to pay for premium before adding the profile picture, why the Illusion? If the app would have let me try it out before rudely wasting my time I might have enjoyed it enough to cancel my strava membership. On to the next app…I honestly wanted to try it out but felt insulted with the tactic.

Now I get my junk mail from these guy’s relentlessly. Cannot unsubscribe.

The software is very clunky for not update timely even with strong internet connection therefore competition os void. I do not recommend it as it just frustrates you.

I’ve been using Strive for my step and activity challenges, and it has been awesome. The app is easy to use, and I love the different challenge types, I have a step, excercise and body fat % challenge going with my friends.
What really stood out, though, was the incredible support. I ran into an issue with one of my challenges, and they responded quickly, and got everything resolved right away.
I don’t do reviews very often (if at all) but wanted to thank the great support!

We love the app and being able to compete against friends and family for motivation to workout. When there was an issue with the competitions we created after emailing customer service they responded and corrected the issue within 48 hours. Incredible considering most applications you never even get a response back. Highly recommended this app.

Love the app and that it “strives” to keep a friendly and fair competition amongst friends/ colleagues who like to stay active. 

Appreciate the customer service too. It will be nice if more fitness trackers get compatible with this app. Looking forward to future updates.

I really enjoy this app. It allows you set goals and see your progress in real time. You can join different challenges and engage with like minded individuals.

This has been the closest app I’ve found that is similar to the Fitbit group competitions. Apple only offers person to person competitions, no group ones, and Fitbit no longer does group challenges. Here we’re able to compete in our groups like we would way back when Fitbit still did group challenges and it’s the best way to stay motivated. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for something similar.
