This string synth sounds really good, sort of reminds me of the string synth on the TE OP-1, but Strng just sounds a lot nicer. Reckon I'll be using this a lot piped into ableton. For £1.49p it's a bargain! ### 5/5 — Crazy good! *2015-08-11* This simple little synth sounds amazing, and is easy to create presets within minutes. I'm a guitar player that has a soft spot for synths on ios. Can't make presets to save my life on most of the big hitter synths. Every control is labeled & visible and there's further instructions if you need. The sounds that this can make are fantastic. I forewent the synthmaster pro package for tonight's work because I was able to get such a unique sound with a bit of (easy & fun) tweaking. With this, Sigth has cemented himself in my instant buy circle along with Igor Vasilev, Holderness Media, and Klevgränd. ### 5/5 — Good thang. *2015-06-07* Very cool product especially for the price. Sounds very nice! ### 5/5 — Uniquely organic string emulation *2015-06-03* Behind it's deceptively simple feature set hides a diverse range of tonal combinations. It only has a few presets so you have to dig in an experiment - but it's an easy and rewarding process to design your own. It has a raw and visceral timbre that cuts through a mix nicely. Cheers ERik ### 4/5 — spannende Klänge *2023-11-25* sehr interessante Klänge, die mit wenigen einfachen Einstellungen über ein großes Spektrum verteilt sind - von sehr realistischen Annäherungen an echte Saiteninstrumente sowohl gestrichen als auch gezupft oder geklopft zu sehr weirden Tönen. ein bisschen verwirrend beim Spielen ist, dass weisse Linien zwischen zwei schwarzen nicht gespielt werden können. Da entspricht die visuelle Darstellung nicht ganz dem, was man tun kann. das könnte noch optimiert werden. ### 4/5 — Great little synth, but... *2019-05-04* Strng was very good, and it just got better. It’s now AUv3 also! However, like Tardigrain and Elsa if you have made presets in the standalone version, you cannot use them in AUv, which is a pity. Given the price you might assume that there is a bigger, better app to do what this one does. There isn’t. Now w/ AUv3 support this is the bigger, better app. Nothing else does strings like this. Laplace is closest but, as it’s not focused on strings it does not give the explicit control over string parameters the way this app does. I cannot replicate the sound with anything else.
