### 4/5 — Bring back 3 & 4 day options!

*2026-07-29, version 4.4.0*

I have been a consistent user and big fan of SBTD since 2022 and have raved about it to anyone who will listen for years! It is easy to follow, well organized, and will help everyone from beginner to experienced lifters get stronger without having to do their own calculations. The workouts are fun and variable. BUT! after the update I only see 5 day option. I’m a busy mom, business owner, am 46 years old and want to lift but also be kind to my aging joints. The 3 day plan was PERFECT. PLEASE bring it back!

### 3/5 — App is a pain.

*2026-06-25, version 4.1.7*

Work outs are fine (nothing ground breaking or personalized) & they are easy to change out how ever you want, but the app itself has so many bugs way too often. If you’re not in the discord (which I hate discord) you’d never know what to do or how to fix things- example recently no one could log in, so we were told to delete & reinstall.. only for it to have more issues a day or so later. Will probably look for a better app after my year is up.

### 4/5 — Love the workouts but the app is glitchy

*2026-04-30, version 4.1.0*

I love the workouts and the information and everything, no complaints at all there. My only complaint is that there are constant glitches with the app in the almost one year I’ve been using it. It will quit suddenly, not log workouts, error codes, the videos at the beginning of a new unit never load and I will get stuck unable to view my workout for the day. I’ve had to totally uninstall a couple of times and lose my history. Not sure why the team can’t get the app to be stable, but i wish it was more reliable.

### 5/5 — Exactly what i was looking for

*2026-04-28, version 4.1.0*

Finally, I found a program that’s simple and straightforward, strength-focused, affordable, and with a great app that functions like it was actually designed by someone who works out and knows the features people want and need in the moment. So glad I found it!

### 5/5 — Such a great resource!

*2026-04-28, version 4.1.0*

I’ve been using this programming for years, from when it was just published on a website to now. Meg and her team have made weight training easy, and
approachable! Take the guess work out of walking into the gym and lifting. Continual improvements in my lifting and the app interface. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Great Routine!

*2026-04-23, version 4.1.0*

I absolutely love this app! I feel like the workouts are well balanced working all muscle groups. I love that I can just follow along and not have to figure out a routine myself.

### 5/5 — Best powerbuilding app

*2026-04-21, version 4.1.0*

I like that the workout program is constantly changing and there are many options for Home gym setup

### 4/5 — Always improving

*2026-04-18, version 4.1.0*

You can’t beat the price point! I’ve been using SBTD for years and it’s generally always improving and as pretty decent costumer service. I the best feature is having 3, 4, and 5 day “Gym” “Express” and “Bodyweight” programs you can switch between based on your needs each week. Some missing features include a built in calculator (it does calculation for you but when you’re changing things up it’s challenging), choose your own start day— Day 1 used to be a U.S. Sunday and it moved to Monday a long time ago, which makes it a little less accesible to folks to need to get their week organized on the weekends. It has a great exercise substitution library, and I’m hoping they add an option to add a sub they don’t already have in their library. Lately, I’ve seen some new exercises that I don’t think are appropriate for an app used by a lot of self-taught amateurs, so it’s important to approach each exercise with discretion.

### 5/5 — Good workouts - proper strength stuff, lots of adaptations

*2026-04-15, version 4.1.0*

I did have an online coach but needed a change and something with a bit more flexibility. Love the options for workouts (3,4,5 days), gym, express and body weight and ability to switch out any activity with a menu of alternatives. Instructions are clear, app is easy to use. Definitely recommend

### 5/5 — FINALLY seeing results

*2026-04-14, version 4.1.0*

I have been lifting for years without any real purpose or direction, then I discovered Stronger by the Day! In the past two years I finally have direction and purpose in the gym! I have muscles that can be seen! I am in fact truly stronger!

### 5/5 — Best Lifting app

*2026-04-13, version 4.1.0*

Of all the lifting apps I have tried in my many years of lifting this one has consistently been the easiest to use with the most beneficial workout workouts programmed in. Not only was it amazing to start, they are consistently upgrading and improving the app over the years to meet new needs of the market.

### 5/5 — Love

*2026-04-09, version 4.0.0*

After listening to many podcasts and reading about about lifting heavy weights I was eager to get started and start seeing change. That being said, lifting heavyweight isn’t as easy as everybody makes it sound. There’s the constant “am I doing this right? Am I gonna get hurt” feeling when you’re doing it on your own. This app has helped me immensely, and I especially love the video demonstration of every single the ability to sub for when an exercise isn’t possible. I love the mission and since using the app I can honestly say my self-esteem is as a high as it’s ever been.

### 5/5 — Will use SBTD app forever!

*2026-04-01, version 4.0.0*

I’ve been lifting for over 10 years, and used to do CrossFit. Since becoming a mom, and needing to rethink how to fit in my workouts, I found SBTD, and will never look back. I love how it is built based on your personal maxes, the ease of substituting movements, as well as the flexibility with adjusting your workouts based on # of times per week. I’ve been a user for two years, and can see myself as a life long user. I also tried the pregnant and postpartum app and enjoyed it as well! Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Best workout app by far

*2026-03-30, version 4.0.0*

I’ve tried a lot of different apps for programming and this has been the best by far. Everything is laid out beautifully and easy to follow. The video tutorials are incredibly helpful, even if you just need a quick refresher on form. Having the ability to cater a program to my constantly changing schedule as a working mom of 3 has been an absolute game changer. Highly recommend giving it a shot!

### 5/5 — Best Workout around Town

*2026-03-27, version 4.0.0*

Absolutely love this app! I won’t lie, these workouts will kick your booty as well get it into shape!!

### 5/5 — Welcoming to weightlifting newbies like me

*2026-03-13, version 4.0.0*

I’m new to weight lifting and I love the way the splits are set up! This app is pretty user friendly, and I love how you can keep track of your progress without another app or spreadsheet. Being able to substitute moves easily based on equipment available is very easy. Finally the demos are super helpful for guiding my form when approaching a new to me move.

I personally get decision paralysis so having the plan set for me each week has been so nice. I know each day I’ll get the workout I want.

This is the perfect cycle for me to have joined since I’ve been doing Pilates for over a year and have been wanting to push myself to build more muscle. I’m only finished the second week and I’m excited to see my progress!

### 5/5 — New design

*2026-03-11, version 4.0.0*

I love this app and have used it consistently for years now. However with this new design, I am having trouble with customizing the workout. When I substitute a workout it rewrite over other exercises that I did not want to change. I enjoy the new design layout but just want this one feature fixed.

### 5/5 — Feeling stronger!

*2026-03-09, version 4.0.0*

As a former competitive powerlifter, this program Meg puts together is amazing!! 4 months into it and I plan to keep going with this app. The other apps I tried just weren’t getting me the strength I desired. Plus, my glutes are growing 🍑👏🏼 who doesn’t want nicer glutes!? Thanks Meg, I appreciate the effort you put into this!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Badly Maintained App

*2026-06-24, version 4.1.7*

So many bugs constantly!! Once my year is up I’m finding something else. It feels like every other workout I have to exit the app and reload for it to work! The workouts are great but I’m over it

### 1/5 — Bugs

*2026-03-12, version 4.0.0*

Please fix the bugs. The app was great until the “upgrade”. Now half of my workout doesn’t save

### 1/5 — New update is horrible

*2026-03-07, version 4.0.0*

New update and layout of workouts has made me want to delete the app and I recently spent over almost $150 to renew for the next year because the app was great as it was. The update claims to make it more user friendly, seamless and less clicking of the screen during workouts but this is not the case. So disappointing to have the app that I use almost daily changed so much at once and not for the better

### 1/5 — Sign Up Page Not Working

*2025-12-08, version 3.11.0*

Would have loved to try this app but the sign up page doesn’t work. Cursor stays stuck in the email box and the arrow at the bottom of the page takes you nowhere when you fill your info in.

### 1/5 — “Free” trial

*2025-11-04, version 3.11.0*

I downloaded this app after seeing the offer for a 7 day free trial. Within two minutes, it was obvious the program wasn’t personalized at all, just a set of generic workouts. I immediately went to cancel so I wouldn’t forget later, only to find I’d already been charged for an entire month. Two minutes into a “free trial,” and they’d already taken my money. That’s deceptive and unacceptable. Be warned, their so called free trial is anything but free.

### 1/5 — Inexcusable number of glitches for a paid app

*2025-10-20, version 3.10.0*

The overall concept is fine but amount of issues with the development is intolerable. A lot of little small but inexcusable issues with the code. For one, in the sign up page, the keyboard can’t be hidden to access the other buttons like “sign up”. This morning I was signed out and couldn’t get back in - repeatedly got an error message. Meaning I couldn’t access the workout plan for this morning when I got to the gym. The plan I pay for. On top of that, the in app timer functions poorly. Altogether makes for an inconsistent experience that will be very frustrating for a seasoned lifter. Why pay for this when a pen and paper never crashes on you?

### 1/5 — Lots of glitch .

*2025-10-20, version 3.10.0*

Unable to login or reset password .

### 1/5 — Cant get past the trial

*2025-05-07, version 3.4.0*

It appears the app maker isnt confident enough in the app to allow a trial without taking all your payment info
Nor will it allow you yo sign up through the app store but a third party payment system

### 1/5 — Not for beginners

*2025-02-26, version 3.1.0*

This app is not for beginners. There’s 0 introduction and just dives in to awkward excersies. First day and they want you to know how to set up for bench flies..

### 1/5 — Locked out of app

*2025-02-01, version 3.1.0*

If you miss the payment for renewing your subscription you get instantly locked out of the app and the only way to pay to renew the subscription again is now through the app. The customer support discord server just says to reach out to the customer support email and the customer support email takes days to respond.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — My long term strength training go to

*2026-07-31, version 4.4.0*

I have used Stronger by the Day for 6 years and I keep coming back to it. The workouts are challenging but accessible and easy to modify based on my changing schedule and varying degrees of gym access. I love being able to check the gifs of what every movement should look like and it’s so handy that when a repeat movement comes up, the app tells me what weight I used last. The app has so many functional aspects that are clearly designed with lifters in mind!

### 5/5 — A game changer

*2026-07-13, version 4.3.0*

I was first introduced to Meg’s programming through her pregnancy program, Plus 1. I credit it with physically comfortable (at least as much as possible…) and my rapid c-section recovery. After postpartum I went back to my old Hypertrophy app that was really more designed for men and felt achey and unbalanced. I was stalling out, tired, and BORED. I gave STBTD a try and it has improved my fitness, mindset, and physical appearance. The diverse and fun programming is ever changing and keeps you progressing without getting bored. I love this program.

### 5/5 — Life changing

*2026-07-02, version 4.3.0*

Growing up in the 90’s as a female meant I spent the better part of my adolescence and young adulthood chasing skinny through hiit, bb workouts, random YouTube workouts, endless running (ugh), and whatever else the voices around me said I needed to do. Exercise was a necessary evil used to force my body into compliance. Dreaded, always left me feeling weak and defeated, wondering if there was another way. Enter SBTD. Lifting weights has changed my life. This app makes it so easy for a beginner to start lifting- everything is laid out perfectly, lifts are all tracked ensuring you continue to progress, it’s literally open and go. After three years on SBTD I can say that I don’t ever see myself switching. I genuinely look forward to and love my workouts (what?!) and no longer see my body as an object to shrink but as a God given gift to be stewarded and strengthened. Thanks Meg and team for all you do- your work matters!

### 5/5 — Life changing

*2026-06-09, version 4.1.7*

Been using this program weekly for 3 years because I don’t have to plan anything myself and I know I’m getting a top notch program. The app does everything - keeps a record, easily subs, gives written and video instructions, tracks progress, etc. I’ll never switch programs!

### 5/5 — amazing!!

*2026-06-07, version 4.1.7*

I absolutely love SBTD. I have been using it for two years, I love the workouts, love the video demonstrations for each movement and cues, love that you can substitute exercises, and it stores all of your data! No more notes on my phone with stats!

### 5/5 — New App Update Obsessed

*2026-06-01, version 4.1.7*

I love these workouts as a girl who loves a strength program. The new app update is amazing, the timer part portion was a huge issue I had with the previous app. Workouts are 10/10 and obtainable for any level. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — One request

*2026-05-27, version 4.1.7*

Love the app and the workouts but please stop putting those videos in there that auto play with loud sound! I keep getting in trouble at work when I’m trying to log my workout 😩

### 5/5 — Best App to Bring to the Gym!

*2026-05-25, version 4.1.7*

As a 40 year old woman who wants to lift weights to get stronger and ensure I have enough muscle mass to carry my own groceries when I’m 90, I love this app! Even though I’ve been working out since I was 13, I still prefer to have a program to follow and a quick tutorial of the movement to watch and mimic. My phone case is a magnet, so I place my phone on the workout equipment I’m using, at eye level, to watch the tutorials as I work out.

I’ve tried many apps before this - Sweat, BeachBody, Hailey Happens, and even Tracy Anderson, and Stronger by the Day is the best app/program I’ve ever used. Here’s why:

1. You can listen to music (or just be in silence) at the same time you’re using this app because this app doesn’t have any sound! It’s brilliant. If you’re a highly sensitive person or just don’t need extra noise in your life, this app gets it.

2. There is a video and a detailed description for each move that you can make larger on your phone screen if you need it or make smaller, if you don’t need it. Brilliant.

3. There is a place to log each and every set including how many reps you did and, if applicable, how much weight you used.

4. The user interface is highly intuitive. You can easily choose how many days you want to workout, find substitutes for the workouts, set your program and be ready to jump in the minute you get into the gym.

5. You can decide whether you want to see a warmup up or not, other apps don’t give you a choice and most make you warm up or at least pretend you did, in order to move forward.

6. You can see all the moves and how the sets are structured before starting the workout (with some apps, the next move is a mystery).

7. Even the colors are calming.

Seriously, this is the best app to take with you to the gym. If you have any doubts, just try it out and walk into that weight section confident that you are not alone and will figure it all out, one move at a time!

### 5/5 — The only program I can stick with

*2026-05-10, version 4.1.0*

Incredibly comprehensive strength-based training program, phenomenal resources, and built-in progressive overload programming to make sure you’re making progress without you having to do a lot of calculations yourself.

### 5/5 — Building back stronger

*2026-05-07, version 4.1.0*

I have used this app on and off over the past 2 years. Last year I was not able to workout as much due to family matters but this is way back!!! I love that it offers an express and no weight. I love the new format and I’ve already made gains and feel great at 62.
Try this app you won’t regret it.
