### 2/5 — Great Idea Poor Execution

*2025-07-04, version 4.5.0*

I think a lot of work went into this app however generating meal plans is an absolute pain on this interface. I’ve asked for help multiple times and receive no answers for the questions I’ve sent their customer service team.

### 3/5 — Good but lots of space for improvement

*2025-05-22, version 4.3.5*

I think the workouts are good, but it will be nice if you could create a workout plan with the equipment you already have available, instead of going in a switching the workouts for stuff you can do with your equipment. Also, on the meal plans, I would allow people to input exactly what they ate in case they don’t want to follow their meal plans. It will be nice if you can search your meals and add the portions and it will give you the calories you consume. I was in between a 3 or 4 star but without filtering workouts plans with your equipment it made me decide on a 3—

### 2/5 — Meal plan not great

*2024-11-22, version 4.0.5*

Meal plan feature is great in theory, but is pretty disappointing. Some days, the suggested recipes lacked nutritional value, or the calculated calories were off, or the macros seemed totally out of whack. All of this created extra work on my end to balance everything out. Avoiding work and convenience were the reasons I showed interest in this app in the first place. Not ideal.

### 4/5 — It’s fine

*2024-08-07, version 4.0.5*

Doesn’t sync directly to Apple Watch. Apple health on phone? Yes. I like that the meals can be chosen by budget and ease of cooking. The form on some workouts is not proper. The workouts are not in full video format, rather clips of the maneuver being demonstrated. Had a timer that beeps. Fasting notification. Charges a monthly fee for premium to scan in your food. Counts macros but I’m not sure how accurate. So far, I’m using the free version and it’s fine.

### 4/5 — Very handy but needs refreshed recipes

*2024-08-04, version 4.0.5*

I love this app. I don’t have the time to come up with a plan to follow my macros and tracking them is a nightmare. This app gives you a meal plan based on your macros that you can easily log at the end of the day and add anything extra.

The one downside is that after following some of the recipes if you are adding in your partner, it’s very hard to figure out the portion breakdown. But if you are cooking for yourself it’s very easy.

### 4/5 — Amazing macros app

*2024-06-12, version 4.0.5*

I’ve been looking for something like this to keep track of my macros and eat healthy meals. The only thing I wish it would allow is to substitute one of their meals for my own. To be able to add my own meals and track it in place of theirs. Otherwise, I think the app is amazing and the food is delicious!

### 2/5 — Not working

*2024-06-07, version 4.0.5*

Suddenly not working. Neither the website nor the app. Tried to contact support but that page won’t load either.

### 4/5 — Old timer

*2024-05-13, version 4.0.5*

Just started following Strongr Fastr.
Free version. Will give it 3 months then decide on membership
So far so good

### 2/5 — Terrible

*2024-01-24, version 3.9.0*

Been using this for 4 days daily, every meal. The portioning doesn’t work and does a TERRIBLE job actually getting calories right. Seriously? That’s the only thing it’s good for and can’t even do that right. One meal said to eat 14oz of Tilapia! For one person and called it 400 calories.

### 3/5 — Timers stop Spotify

*2023-08-02, version 3.2.5*

If I have timers unmuted it will stop my Spotify from playing and then not resume the song. Completely closes it out

### 5/5 — NEED MORE MEAL VARIETY

*2023-05-11, version 3.2.0*

Maybe it’s because I am vegan, but i have used this for the past two years… it’s amazing but I really need you Mary, to create more variety of meals … please (:

### 5/5 — Takes the hard work out of dieting

*2023-02-05, version 2.4.1*

This app does most of the work out of coming up with a weekly dietary plan based on your goals. The goals could be caloric, protein, carbs or fat or combinations thereof. It will let let you print out a grocery list too. Has many recipes which are usually quite tasty.

Highly recommended.

### 3/5 — Good app, could be amazing

*2023-01-10, version 2.4.1*

So far I like the app because it’s better than other apps that do the same thing. That’s not really saying much though. I was looking for an app that pre-plans my weekly meals based on macros, and this app does that. Some of the ways it gets there are strange (Edamame (and nothing else) for breakfast, anyone?)- it seems to only consider the numbers instead of what foods it puts together.

I will say, this app’s strange food/meal combos is still light years better than other apps (Eatthismuch apparently has recipes by people with no taste buds, for example).

The thing that’s driving me ABSOLUTELY nuts is that the workout videos stop my music for each rep. I have to manually go back to my music app to restart it EVERY. TIME. I. LOG. A. REP. This really needs to be fixed. I don’t need to hear weight lifting demo videos!

I’m giving it three stars for now. If meals make better sense and the music issue gets fixed, I’ll bump this this to five stars.

### 5/5 — Beautiful app

*2022-12-29, version 2.4.1*

The App Store is so saturated with apps that do half of what this app does for double the price that I was initially skeptical when I first downloaded it, but the premium meal planning functionality is amazing and totally worth the upgrade. It lets me mix meal planning and normal tracking when I want to, so it’s super flexible in that way. I plan out some meals and track others manually which I’ve found is a great balance for me personally. They have a recipe database full of tons of tasty high protein meals ideas. Still using it over a year later.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Incomplete

*2026-01-06, version 5.1.0*

I am fighting cancer and love the concept you presented on your web-based solicitation for a keto based diet with intermittent fasting. This is what I need help with. Your app and approach, as just present, has nothing for me at all. All questions, plans, goals and activities are completely irrelevant and unrealistic for me. Great concept, but it would be good to see you expand your reach to those who are trying to heal, not beef up or loose weight.

### 1/5 — ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

*2024-11-01, version 4.0.5*

Got this a while back during some promo. Created a profile etc. Went back in recently and I was logged out. Did not recognize me at all. I’m still getting enails. Made me go through the process of recreating a profile. Decided at the end that this isn’t worth it. One star, unsubscribe and delete.

### 1/5 — Killed my progress

*2024-03-25, version 4.0.0*

Totally killed my weight loss progress. I ended up putting on weight

### 1/5 — Gym weight increases even if you skip days

*2024-01-05, version 3.6.5*

Fix pls

### 1/5 — Cancel trial doesn’t work

*2023-12-30, version 3.4.5*

You’ll automatically be dinged for $100 for an annual subscription regardless if you cancel the trial beforehand.

Downloaded the app, cancelled the subscription immediately, 7 days later I get charged $100 for this garbage.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Made a claim with my bank already. Will be following up with the business bureau and just about any institution my country offers.

### 1/5 — Bad Recipes, Bizarre Portions, Broken Search

*2022-01-17, version 2.2.1*

I got this primarily for the meal planner, and while the concept is solid the execution is terrible.

In order to meet macros, the app will create absolutely bizarre portion sizes and meal combinations. If you go to look for a replacement item because you don’t want .5 portions of tuna pickle boats and 3 cups of milk for breakfast, the replacement search often won’t bring up what you’re looking for at all, regardless of how you tweak the settings. I’ve literally had to backtrack to old meals just to find a banana.

The recipes don’t appear to have been tested either. Nothing is great. Some are okay. Some of them are truly awful.

### 1/5 — Initially I gave it 5 stars

*2021-08-06, version 2.2.1*

At first I gave it five stars, but I had to update my review after using it for awhile. Based on results, it is one star. Although the recipes taste amazing and the app looks amazing and seems like it works really well, the end result of telling it I wanted to lose weight, and cooking everything it told me to, I ended up gaining 0.5 kg per day. The ingredients can be quite hard to get hold of in the UK, but I went an extra mile to try to get them from unusual places, to make sure I met the plan exactly. Very disappointed with the end results.

Why am I gaining weight? When I diet on my own, I have chicken breast and vegetables only, and it works. But this app gives recipe full of fat, it focuses just on calorie reduction -even if you select manual and put in low fat low carbs, it can’t find any recipes.

I told it all my details, height, age, activity level, so there is no reason for it really

### 1/5 — Can’t even use it

*2020-05-09, version 1.5.6*

I tried signing up but I can’t even get past the first question asking my gender. I put female and nothing happens.

### 1/5 — Not recommended

*2020-04-17, version 1.5.6*

I wouldn’t recommend this app. Gave me a meal plan which consisted of a bowl of strawberries for breakfast, store bought tinned soups for lunch and store bought chicken tenders. No thought or actual knowledge it seems has went into developing the “meal plan”. Also for the workout plan it gave me 4 exercises a day in order to bulk up. Sorry. But Absolutely pointless app and waste of time.

### 1/5 — Conceptually good but not refined.

*2019-02-26, version 1.3.0*

The app will not allow you to do OMAD. It also is elementary in its ability to add a food or recipe. In adding a food it doesn't allow for Fiber....so no net carbs.

7 day free trial- but I was charged full amount immediately. As it was a requirement to commit to the subscription before it allowed you to go further.

The free version is useless

On a good note. The way they do the meal is user friendly. The app has potential. But with a limited food database and super basic food entry. It's not helpful.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I found it

*2026-03-06*

This is amazing try it

### 5/5 — Works

*2026-02-12, version 5.1.0*

Have been doing the 7 day trial, it’s a good app with plenty of things to help you with your journey, the fasting part has been insane so far, I’m on the 18/6 hour fasting journey and had lost 10 lbs in 7 days far much more than anything else I’ve tried

### 5/5 — Love it for the most part!

*2025-10-06, version 4.8.5*

This has been a game changer for my weight loss! Thank you! Would love more recipes. Most of them end up repeating and I get really bored eating the same thing over and over. It would be absolutely amazing if you had seasonal recipes to align with what produce is fresh during the time of year that the meals plans are generated. Also, would love to incorporate treats into meal plans. I find myself sneaking treats, unless they’re built into my plan in advance.

### 5/5 — Super easy to use

*2024-10-11, version 4.0.5*

I never tracked calories or macros before because I thought it required some crazy math to plan out and all this weird stuff but even the free version is wild easy. I type what I ate and usually the database in the app has the info already there so I just log it. An easy, low-stress way to make sure you’re meeting your daily goal for protein, fat, carbs, and calories. Awesome app

### 5/5 — Amazing, and Not Just for Weight Loss

*2024-03-30, version 4.0.0*

I’m pretty sure I have never left a review for an app in my life. But I have to let people know how amazing these recipes are. My husband and I have been bored and out of ideas for us and our four kids. There are so many delicious and easy recipes on this app. I put a difficulty of cooking level three and it is perfectly homemade, with whole foods, but absolutely delicious and simple and quick. Even if I wasn’t trying to lose weight, I would love this app for the recipes alone. I also cannot believe the meal plans that it generates. I put a calorie limit of 1200 and a protein goal of 130 g. Not only did it manage to give me meal plans within those parameters, but I can’t even eat all of the food. It’s whole food filling and delicious. I highly recommend this app.

### 5/5 — If you’re having trouble losing weight, this is the app for you

*2024-02-17, version 4.0.0*

I don’t ever review apps. I’ve been using this for about a year now though. I was on the low end of the obese scale. I tried everything, and I mean EVERYTHING to lose weight. I’d fluctuate by 10lbs monthly. I saw doctors and dieticians and it never made a difference with my weight loss. So I finally got this app, and a lifting app. I have lost about 40lbs now.

This app is very easy to use, and the meals can either be simple or if you like to cook, more complex. It’s super easy to save meals you like and ignore ones you don’t, so you don’t get them again. It makes a nice grocery list for you. It even gives you a workout plan if you don’t have another one to use. You can add your own recipes too.

I really didn’t think I needed as much protein as this app gives me since I’m mostly sedentary. I do not workout super often, and my lifting is limited due to injuries. My working out consists of walking and light lifting with my other app. Apparently all I needed was to up my protein game to lose weight, and this app makes it so easy to do so. If you have trouble losing weight, give this app a shot. I’m beyond happy with my progress so far.

### 5/5 — Best nutrition app

*2023-10-22, version 3.4.5*

Great app that gives you a nutrition and training plan. You can mix and match between meal planning and logging foods off plan which makes it so incredibly flexible. Massive database of high protein recipes that are realistic and simple enough for every day cooking. Love it!

### 5/5 — Amazing but needs more

*2023-10-16, version 3.4.5*

This app helped me get comfortable at the gym and taught me how to use various free weights. I do wish it gave me more variety in cardio workouts with the free version, as I typically find myself skipping it on the app and doing my own thing. Overall, this app is amazing though, and I can give it credit for getting me into the rhythm of a good workout. I hope they add Apple Watch support eventually. It would be amazing if I could go through my guided workouts right on my wrist, as well as incorporate my health data into my workout data. I think this app would become much more popular as it already has a leg up on other apps having both a workout and meal planner.

### 5/5 — AMAZING

*2023-09-18, version 3.4.5*

I just started my fitness journey and really had no clue what I was doing. Especially with food. I would use chatgpt to try and plan my meals and it worked and tasted good but took a lot of effort to verify it had the right macros.
Then I was looking for AI meal planning/workout apps and randomly found this app!
In 1 month I've lost a bunch of fat and even put on 3 lbs of muscle. I'm excited to keep at it!

### 5/5 — Best app to date

*2023-09-13, version 3.4.5*

My top three favorite features are the macro tracking, the budgeting feature, and my personal favorite- adding your own recipes. I’ve tried I think every app on the market and this one is the best one I’ve used. It’s a very easy app to use and the most customizable. I think an extra cool bonus feature down the road would be if it was a possibility to select certain nutrients you wanted to prioritize in your diet and you could keep track of that nutrition aspect. Just looking at things from a functional medicine perspective where like someone with celiacs might be more deficient in b vitamins whereas someone with thyroid issues might be looking to prioritize copper more.. ect… I know the app can’t diagnose treat or prescribe. But like if you are someone who’s already done functional medicine stuff to be able to prioritize those nutrients.
