Takes many attempts in my experience and much patience to get decent results. There’s definitely a technique to use when driving the scanner. It will not calibrate. Have left support multiple messages and no one calls back. And no app Occipital has written for it works even slightly. The only app that does is ISeezIt - and that only for human head scans. I've seen significant improvements of texture quality and resolution using the Structure sample Scanner app since This latest firmware, as well as improved and more consistent FPS when using Structure through uplink to Skanect. Firmware v2 builds on occipital's promise to move the Structure sensor forward. Steady software updates, sdk features and improvements for developers, a worthy update. Nice work Occipital! ### 5/5 — YES *2015-03-13* YES ### 5/5 — The app for the hardware Sensor *2014-08-09, version 1.0* This opens new avenues and interesting app developments that really are the future. Looking forward to this expanding and improving as it really is a ground floor opportunity that will go sky high, given the possibilities. A really neat bit of kit, and this app pulls all the strings together. This app is as awesome as the rest says. You just need the hardware and the hardware EXISTS ALREADY. Duh. ### 5/5 — Good Start - Needs Color *2014-06-19* Excellent build quality on the sensor and so far the colorless scanning is fast and accurate and (holy cow) mobile! Still giving five stars to offset the one star dunderheads but I was expecting Skanect or this app to capture color after watching the promo videos. Color is coming apparently so I can wait. #firstWorldProblems ### 5/5 — Great App, 1 Star Reviewers Are Wrong *2014-04-11* To the 1 star reviews you are truly idiots. Please read how its supposed to work before bashing a good app. The sensors are still in beta and not available for everyone but are incredible match for the app. And the sensor should not be "in the app" because that doesn't make any sense. The app is dependent on very sophisticated external sensor hardware that is not "in the app" or in the iPad. ### 5/5 — Amazing! *2014-04-09, version 1.0* Such a great piece of technology. The build quality on the hardware is phenomenal, literally Apple level quality, and the app is a great showcase of what's possible. In combination with Skanect it's the best 3D scanning solution out there.
