You can create your own custom progressions by plugging in any chord you want, as well as any voicing of that chord. That’s something you can’t do with any other app. The only thing I wish it had was a way to save my custom progressions. But it’s easily the best guitar app I’ve come across on the App Store. What this app really shines in is as a practice companion for someone trying to learn rhythm and chords. I've been playing guitar for about over a year, and honestly, most apps I've tried either overwhelm me with theory that I don't fully understand yet. Or they're so basic, they stop being useful after a week. Already I see the usefulness in this app. 
For example, when I hit, generate, it creates a chord progression with diagrams showing exactly where to put my fingers and how to strum along within seconds to a rhythm. I don't need to dig through menus or sit through a lesson. I find that the chord diagrams are in front of you. 
They're clear and practical And not showy. You can also see multiple fingering options for the same chords, which have been helpful for me. 
Especially for someone who is rhythm challenged, there's also a built-in groove and tempo control. So it allows me to slow progressions down while I'm trying to master chord changes and then gradually Speed it up to ensure that my transitions sound cleaner. 
I can see the usefulness in the progression generator already, and I look forward to using it more because it doesn't necessarily drill the same chords every day. It can throw new combinations together. Which means that, again, as a practice tool, It pushes me out of my comfort zone every now and again.
