### 3/5 — Good Product, Terrible Support

*2026-05-29*

I waited online for over an hour to be connected to a ‘teammate’ and gave up. Buy the product but don’t expect ‘in-person’ support.

### 3/5 — Please add HR to app!

*2026-04-13*

I often use the treadmill to reduce impact. It is useful to set an incline to keep power up but impact low for intervals.

As of now, there is no way to connect HR. I have tried using the Stryd Connect IQ app on my watch and the power numbers that come into Training Peaks are all over the place. (The Stryd powercenter shows them just fine, but TP struggles. This throws off calculations for TP and WO5.) If Styrd could simply add the ability to connect to a BTE HR strap all the issues would go away. I would simply record workouts on my phone using the app, adjust the incline as needed, see accurate power numbers as I am running, and save it for TP to digest. How hard is it to add????

While I am at it, it would be great to select a workout on my calendar and when I go to start the workout, choose to perform on the treadmill. As of now, you cannot open it as an indoor run, and thus, have no access to the incline settings. You basically do an outdoor run on your treadmill and get a crazy gps file.

As of now I have use my watch to run the workout structure and record HR. In addition, I use the Stryd iPhone app to record an indoor run and manually mark laps as I go, based off of the laps coming from my watch. I can change inclines to hit desired power numbers. After the fact I have to use GoToes to combine the Garmin and Stryd files so that I can upload to TP. Annoying.

All of this goes away with the addition of HR in the app....

### 3/5 — Updating my review

*2026-02-01, version 9.0.4*

Finally got it working (the instructions and set up are very convoluted and frustrating) and now I’m getting great data from it. The monthly cost is really high, IMO. And I would love to see the option to change your week structure. Many apps operate Sunday - Saturday and I’d love the ability to choose what day I want my week to start.

### 3/5 — Tons of potential

*2026-01-16*

I like the idea of what they’re going for here. Unfortunately, there are some tweaks that until implemented will continue to limit their reach. I use a TrueForm Runner for 99% of my training, so a permanent incline adjust option for treadmill runs would be very helpful since a 4% (actually 4.5%, but decimals not available) incline is required to accurately reflect my CP. Additionally, I need real time power/activity data to be able to be casted to a device other than the Apple Watch alone (iPad/iphone/smart TV). By holding up my watch to verify where I am in my CP band — the activity pauses. It’s just very cumbersome to get the most out of this great technology. Finally, I’ve seen a member of their leadership team frequently personally reply to consumers/customers and often come across as condescending or defensive which I can appreciate they’ve put their blood, sweat, and tears into this phenomenal product — but I think they’d be well served to understand their customers WANT to see them succeed, and their feedback is simply a collaborative effort to see them continue to grow as a tech leader in this space. Stryd all the way, don’t let another software company come in and take your market because we neglect the app UI/UE.

### 3/5 — “You have moved from the training phase to the training phase”

*2026-01-13*

… que?!

### 3/5 — Set a goal

*2025-11-18, version 9.0.0*

There should be an option to hide set a goal option.

### 4/5 — Almost

*2025-10-21, version 8.1.94*

This could be the best fitness app for those looking to improve their fitness levels and performance. They need to get like Garmin and Strava and allow photos for social interaction and media sharing

### 4/5 — The best way to train

*2025-09-23*

A game changer for runners who struggle with plans that prescribe paces that lead to constant injury.

### 2/5 — Compatibilité avec HealthKit moyenne (Apple santé)

*2025-09-19*

### 1/5 — Useless device

*2025-08-19*

I find these ratings hard to believe because I bought 2 and after the lengthy setup with and link to garmin both of us have not been able to get it to work consistently with constant connectivity and app issues. It’s demotivating spending half the workout prep trying to get it to connect and it doesn’t anyway. The device is basically useless.

### 3/5 — Stryd should be able to be more robust

*2025-07-20, version 8.1.87*

App gets stuck all the time
Lacks versatility in training plan management

I really want my power data but for now have to rely on workout outdoors which does not get stuck with my Apple Watch when my AirPods connect to the watch or the phone. Stryd blames it on Apple but how come another app can do it?

Also the fact that one cannot schedule a training plan that starts in the past is mind blowing! And that there is no way to move or delete portions of a training plan in bulk.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Won’t sync with Apple Watch

*2026-06-12, version 9.1.9*

Won’t sync with Apple Watch and lost all workout history. Customer service pretty slow.

### 1/5 — Don’t update

*2026-04-03, version 9.1.3*

Update deleted all of my data. I have Garmin data that’s my primary source, unacceptable to lose data after an update and have to sign back in and setup as if it was new.

### 1/5 — Awful first experience!

*2026-03-23*

What a pile of garbage. I just did my first run, which was supposed to be a test. It worked well for 5m exactly, then disconnected as soon as I started my first push. Instead of alerting me that it disconnected, the power greyed out (I thought it was deliberate during a 1m push). It never came back. Didn’t pop up with anything telling me the sensors both dropped and what to do to reconnect. You need to sack your software team! The hardware protocol clearly needs some work too.

For the money, I’m absolutely appalled.

### 1/5 — Nem sempre funciona

*2026-03-09, version 9.1.1*

Varias medições com erro, resultado bem obvio. Realmente nao vi vantagem nenhuma

### 1/5 — Good product but trash app

*2026-02-14, version 9.0.5*

Good product for tracking power, but the app is trash
Does your dev ever tested it?
Always failed to connect

*2026-02-09, version 9.0.4*

### 1/5 — Good luck when your pod stops working! Be ready to fork out another $200!

*2026-02-07*

Honestly, does anyone design tech that lasts more than 5-6 years anymore? Planned obsolescence? I remember when I was one of the first to buy a Stryd pod and I asked, “will we need a subscription to use this in the future?” and I was assured that the answer was “No.” Fast forward 2-3 years and, voila, subscription required for premium features. I’d be fine with this if the device was cheaper but honestly, my Garmin watch and HRM-Pro log running power just fine. What’s the point of Stryd now that Corros and Garmin support running power natively?

### 1/5 — Not working and not great customer support

*2025-12-26*

I’ve had my Stryd for a few weeks. Have tried running with it four times. It isn’t registering my runs. The support from customer service has not been great. Just a link to an article I already found myself that didn’t work. I’ve done all the trouble shooting and can’t get it to register a run at all. I can’t upload from the pod because it says there’s no data and then just gives me an error. I have the new 5.0. For now, I would not recommend.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2025-12-06, version 9.0.2*

Great idea. Love the device but it’s worthless without paying for the monthly coaching subscription.

### 1/5 — Aplikacja pełna błędów

*2025-09-12, version 8.1.91*

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excelente

*2026-06-13*

### 5/5 — Effective training

*2026-01-01*

As someone who played team sports when I was young I miss the accountability of having direct coaching. Stryd and the app are always measuring my effort and giving. Direct feedback on performance. I love how my progress has measured over time

### 5/5 — Works perfecty

*2025-12-31, version 9.0.4*

Everything works perfectly. I don’t know what are those one-star reviews. Of you can’t login with your miserable fb, just login with username and password. I don’t have facebook, and I’m fine without it. Anyway, app is easy to use, complete, informative, flawless, I can’t find any issue.

### 5/5 — Great for mixed treadmill training

*2025-11-20*

For someone that does a lot of training on treadmills and on the road this is great because it keeps an accurate distance and speed across different platforms where your Garmin will not give you good results when running on the treadmill at different speeds

### 5/5 — Pod top

*2025-11-04, version 8.1.95*

### 5/5 — Works Great with Garmin

*2025-09-17, version 8.1.92*

Very consistant way to see your power, very repoducible and perfect for indoor and outdoor workouts.

### 5/5 — Great Update!

*2025-09-01, version 8.1.90*

Thanks for the update on the HealthKit VO, GCT, etc

Please add Cadence too!

Thanks and keep it up!

### 5/5 — Garmin 570 compatibility

*2025-08-20, version 8.1.88*

Please add comparability with Garmin 570 series

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2025-05-29*

Running with power has been a game changer for me. Heart rate and pace were flawed ways of structuring my training plan. Stryd power based training is simple on the surface yet also sophisticated if you want to delve into the footpath tools and other aspects of performance. I no longer need training peaks either to schedule my workouts for the week.
