## What is Stud Finder?

Find hidden metal objects behind walls using your phone’s magnetic sensor.
This app detects ferrous metal (iron, steel) by measuring magnetic field variations in microteslas (µT). It's ideal for locating metal studs, nails, screws, pipes, or other magnetic materials.

How It Works:
Your phone has a built-in magnetometer that measures the surrounding magnetic field. The app calibrates automatically at startup, setting a baseline for your environment. Readings are displayed in real-time, and deviations from the baseline indicate the presence of magnetic objects.

First off the App Store is a complete and utter lie. It has a 4.1 rating with only 2 5 star reviews and one of those was an accidental 5 star. Everything else is under 2 stars. I hope the developers of this app catch a extremely curable disease but are discomforted for as long as this app took me to deal with

Shortly after downloading this app and reading the instructions it asked to get the full version for £5.00… And £5.00 for nothing!! Even by increasing the sensor sensitivity, the best reading I could get was a value of 20 which did not stabilise (as I moved across the wall that same reading extended to every location on the wall I was scanning through).

I found another app (free this one!) with a very similar logo and it worked just fine by adjusting to the right sensitivity until I got a signal. If you are considering this app like I did pass your way!
