I’m guessing I found a stud in the 10 seconds the app allows you to scan followed by a 10 seconds ad to purchase their untimed/ad free app version. Even though it’s only $1.99, I’ll go with another app I found that’s free, accurate, and doesn’t have the annoying ad every 10 seconds for free

I tried to use this app just for some helping finding studs to hang wall art and literally every 10 secs it pauses … says you need to pay $1.99 to remove the time feature. Makes the app pretty unusable. Unless you’re willing to pay that price just just a different stud finder app

Opened this up just to test it out so I could try to mount my TV. I had it pressed against the wall for 5 seconds and then all of a sudden got a pop-up that said I either had to pay $2 or wait 10 seconds before using app again. Just buy an actual stud finder: it costs just as much and doesn’t require you to update or pay more to use it for more than 5 seconds.

I have to admit, I’m surprised it really worked! You have to wait due to timing out but if you’re going to use it often just pay the $2 for pause in the app.

This works better than hardware stud finders.  It’s simple to use: you just have to get the hang of fine-tuning the single calibration slider.  That’s it!  You can use the free (= teaser) version to see for yourself, but like me you will probably be happy to pay $2 for the upgrade (= normal) version.  The free version keeps pausing and soon drives you crazy.  $2 for a stud finder that really works is a deal.
