I couldn’t log into my account a few hours before the game. either through their website or the app. It was really frustrating because on a game day, they should have reliable customer service, but they didn’t respond to my emails and there’s no phone number to contact them. Even messaging them on Instagram didn’t help. Honestly, this kind of technical issue is a big problem for us students, especially on an important day like a football game when a lot of people rely on the app. I hope they realize how much inconvenience this causes and improve their support and platform stability. Thanks. **Developer response:** Hi, we know we let a lot of students down Saturday, that’s our fault and we sincerely apologize. Our servers simply weren’t scaled to handle the amount of people that were trying to buy tickets and we were unprepared. We have already begun to implement fixes for this and it should never happen again. We are also expanding our customer support team to be able to provide 24/7 customer support. I, the founder, am usually the one answering those, but as you said, it is just not a great experience for the user if I can’t or there is a delay. We hope you give us another try and we will do everything in our power to make sure we are fully operational on gamedays! ### 1/5 — Scammed and also buggy *2024-10-26* The app does. Not. Work. Don’t download this, just use the website instead. The app is just the website portal on a phone screen, so the menus work about half of the time. I got scammed by a listing that was for a different ticket than was listed, but since you can only have one ticket in your account at a time, I was out of luck trying to get my money back in time for the game. I get what they’re going for, but the site is too slow and buggy to stop you from getting compensation for a scam unless it was 2-3 days before the event you’re trying to attend. ### 1/5 — Do not try this app the day of a game *2024-10-18* You will be at the sellers will if you try buying a ticket the day of a game. No matter what you will have to wait for the seller to transfer the ticket after paying for the ticket. Can easily screw you out of not going to the game. ### 2/5 — Great service, bad app *2024-09-23* If we’re talking service, this app is reliable and safe for its purpose. However, this app is just an exact reskin of the browser version of this service - to the point that the “download in the app store” button is still at the bottom. The app is buggy, visually unappealing, and hard to use. I hope that in the future they can make a version of this app that works better for iphones and ipads. **Developer response:** We are! I tried resetting the password twice, i used my username and also tried the email I used, just not working. I sold my ticket and no one gave me updates or explanations on why my money was not delivered. They give you no real way to get in touch with them. Their email is an account with my reply option and no number or way to call a real person. Also have a really high fee. Do not use. **Developer response:** We’re sorry to hear that! We do not charge any seller fees, it is completely free to sell your tickets. Your money from selling your ticket is safe in your account until you connect your bank account. Please email support@studentseats.com for help to see what information your account may be missing! ### 1/5 — This app is miserable to use *2025-11-25* Push notifications do not work, making it impossible to reliably sell tickets. The “remember me for 7 days” never seems to work. You can’t delete the first digit in a ticket price once it’s typed in, meaning you have to completely remove the listing to change the price. All that among many many more UI glitches. **Developer response:** I’m sorry you’ve experienced those issues, but thank you for your feedback. First, Student Seats absolutely never requests to track you across other apps or websites. That claim is completely untrue. Second, we actually pride ourselves on having low fees and no seller fees at all (unlike certain competitors). Third, our app is a fully native app, not just a web wrapper. And regarding reviews, our reviews are always genuine and never paid for. ### 1/5 — Literally Worst App Ever *2025-09-09* My first time ever writing an apple review in 10 years. Actually impossible to use. My email is apparently already taken, but can’t login. Reset password button says it will send an email but it NEVER DOES. Also the fees are atrocious! 80%! Take your business elsewhere. **Developer response:** SSN is not required unless you sell over $2,000 worth of tickets. It is a legal KYC requirement Stripe requests. The data is not stored. We charge no selling fees and we aim to keep buying fees low. If you do not get your ticket, you get 100% of your money back including the small buying fee. Our previous app was simply our mobile website in app form which is the cause for these issues. Our new app will be completely native! ### 1/5 — This app is a scam and frustrating *2025-01-31* This app does nothing besides connect buyers and sellers. You still have to do all the work and they take huge fees from buyers. They say they don’t take fees from sellers, but when you have to price in a fee (my last ticket had a $15 fee on a $50 ticket) on the list price, the buyer and seller lose. Maybe they handle transactions, but so would venmo or paypal without a huge fee. They claim buyer/seller protection, but I have dealt with more issues transferring through the app than I ever did in my schools group chats. Plus, they require way more user data. I have still had several fraudulent buyer situations. I’ve had non-students try to buy and then submit a complaint against me when they can’t accept. Student Seats had no prevention for this besides saying they shouldn’t try to buy. There is something going on where tickets will be ‘bought’ and then immediately canceled numerous times. I can’t figure out why, but I find it suspicious. The app’s interface is glitchy and doesn’t display correctly. There’s no communication between buyers and sellers on the app, leading to overly complicated trouble-shooting. Customer service is responsive over email, but it’s ridiculous how many times I’ve had to go to customer service to test this. **Developer response:** Our app offers simplicity and protection compared to traditional marketplaces. Instead of asking "is this still available?" or trying to vet your seller or hoping your seller doesn't run off with your Venmo, our app ensures you're buying from a real student and that you will receive your tickets very quickly. If you don't get your ticket, you get a 100% refund including any fees. We take all feedback into consideration because we strive to be the best we can be for our students. A lot of students were scammed for Kaitlyn Clark games on Snapchat, so this app helps for those big ticket item games. I received emails and texts when someone had purchased the tickets, which let me know to do the ticket transfer. I had one question that I sent to the support email, and I received a quick and helpful response.
