## What is Student Stock Trader?

Student Stock Trader is a simple stock market simulator designed to help students understand how the stock market works.

This application lets you setup a stock trading game where players can:

* Search Stocks from the NYSE and NASDAQ stock exchanges.
* View the trends of the stock.
* Add the stock to their virtual portfolio.
* Sell the stock.
* Compare their progress against other game members.

The game owner can setup the players starting balance and set the transaction fees.

Students can play in groups or individually, each game has a leader board that shows the real time progress of each player.

Our stock data is loosely based on real data, this means that the world wide economy will impact on the trading decisions of students.

Students can further research companies to understand their investment decisions better. Student Stock Trader is a gateway to introduce a whole new world to your students.

A lot of the people writing these reviews must be idiots or something. This isn’t a GAME, but rather an educational tool for use in schools. I enjoy seeing if I can get more money than my friends when we are in school. It is a nice thing to use in a classroom environment, and I recommend it for teachers who are willing to pay the fee to help teach their kids.

This was not what I expected at all. Needs a much easier user interface, more information on what one has already done, and much more regular updates of stock charts and movements. Has the potential to be amazing.
